I stumbled upon this article that I had bookmarked almost 5 years ago. It seems relevant to this thread. https://www.catholicworldreport.com/2014/04/08/welcome-to-the-reign-of-gay/
My family has essentially been ravaged by this mentality. Not a single person outside my brother and I do not "celebrate" these sins with our family members who have taken up a "victims court" in our family circle. This has turned into the court of tolerance and essentially nothing is off the table now, not that much was off it before to be honest.
This reminds me of the words of St Paul in Ephesians ,that , '...we fight power in the heavenly places'. I admire people who can stand up for themselves. It has gotten to the stage now where I would be uneasy about speaking about certain things in the work place. I am not cowardly by any means, but on the other hand I think to myself that I am not going to put myself up on offer. I notice the Unions are worse than management in these matters; far, far worse.
DeGaulle, I agree. I didn't meant to appear to be sounding off at the Chicago police chief. I am pretty certain that I would have said the same thing about the pride parade if I were in his shoes. I was only trying to make the point that most of us have been cornered in a sense about this issue. I don't believe that it would have been the time or place to say anything other what he stated about Chicago being sympathetic to them, etc. My point is that those who identify as gay aren't the only people who are bullied and I think it would serve our society far better to do away with gay pride events and replace them with "Love Thy Neighbor" events. I think that many people have the misconception that the pride movement is a "love thy neighbor" movement but it is not. For many, it is an "anything goes movement", imho. Many of the gay parades have become opportunities for the display of the obscene. In addition, it seems that every week or so there is another story like the following - Parents react with outrage to BBC featuring 11-year-old ‘drag kid’ on segment for youth.
