Right now the Slovenian constitution court is weighing if to allow a referendum on the law, that has been already passed and enables same sex marriage. If referendum is not going to be allowed Slovenia will adopt the same law without a fight. If the referendum will be allowed, we expect all the heavy machinery from the gay lobby to wreak havoc in Slovenia in order to support same sex marriages and other nonsence.

Garabandal - I worry about what you say is going on in Canada happning here, but then I think so be it. I cant believe Ireland has fallen so far so fast but I am glad that it is only happening now. It might happen fast now and we will be throught it quickly. I am just leaving everything to Saint Patrick. He is very clever and knows us better than we know ourselves. I was very depressed going to Mass yesterday but there was a short story in the missal about Saint Patrick and the Feast of Pentecost. It seems that the Holy Spirit is represented by a Dove but at the time of Saint Patrick Irish Catholics would not accept the Dove as representing the Holy Spirt so they settled for a wild goose. The wild geese were considered birds of substance but a dove was considered to weak. The Holy Spirit was never to be though of as wek but was seen as being tough. I forgot to be depressed after reading that. All I could see was Our Lord being baptised in the jordan and the Holy Spirit decending in the form of a wild goose and landing on his head....it would have picked his blessed hair out in tufts. geese arevery dangerous birds but know how to fight and look after themselves and their own.

After giggling a bit during Mass may God forgive me I could understand moe about the referendum and that we need to be more like a goose and not a dove.

Joe, no need to apologize. You are right in what you say, and my response is to pray, mourn a bit, be angry a bit, but then turn it over to God and not give one iota of HIS peace, HIS joy, HIS love to the enemies.

Svetnik I think all countries are going to have this because the world is following satan. I dont thin we can stop this but we have to try. We have to endure it and keep praying that God moves quickly to end it. All I can do is pray for Slovenia and the whole world but what I find myself praying the most is that God moves quickly . I do hope Slovenia does not go the way Ireland has just gone but if it does, then so be it. It would be just another reason for more prayers.

Is this push for marriage equality not really a form of communism?

Communism made promises of perfect social and economic equality divorced from God.

Mari Loli: It was all related to communism and what is going to happen in the Church and to the people because all these things are to have repercussions amongst the people. When the Church suffers confusion, the people are going to suffer too. Some priests who are communists will create such confusion that people will not know right from wrong.

This has been on my mind the last few days also. I have no doubt that this is a form of Communism, far left and ultra liberal all in one.

This whole gay marriage news seems slight in comparison to abortion, which has been allowed in most every country in the world for decades now. The killing of the innocence has been going on for so long now that it hardly gets noticed. What does this say about mankind. The unthinkable is now a norm. It seems the only think left in this race to apostasy is the split in the Church, which several prophecies all calling for very soon. Come Holy Spirit and renew the face of the earth.

Just read Mark Mallet's latest. Gulp! To read what Fr. John Hardon says is pretty scary, but to read what The Lord says about cowards is even scarier.

No less than ordinary individual Catholics can survive, so ordinary Catholic families cannot survive. They have no choice. They must either be holy—which means sanctified—or they will disappear. The only Catholic families that will remain alive and thriving in the twenty-first century are the families of martyrs. Father, mother and children must be willing to die for their God-given convictions… —The Blessed Virgin and the Sanctification of the Family, Servant of God, Fr. John A. Hardon, S.J.

    Peace.

It is excruciatingly painful to witness what just occurred in Ireland, the land of Saints and scholars. Ireland is the first country in the history of the world to vote by the people to re-write the bible. Buyer beware.
I am an artist and have been given a visual gift where I can see images and movies . . . I was contemplating St.Patrick and had a visual of him. So unlike the statues we see . . .he had a very pleasant and happy countenance, a rounded face, dark almost curly hair, twinkling eyes, and very charismatic. No wonder the Irish people loved him so . . .i will try and sketch him this week if you are interested. I can see him robustly singing the breastplate of St.Patrick . . .and it gives me hope and courage.

Katfalls, pretty please with a cherry on the top, try and share your artistic inspiration of the likeness of Saint Patrick. I love Saint Patrick, and include him most days in prayer.

I thank God most High for such a wonderful saint. I call Saint Patrick the father of our faith in Ireland.

I sat through more than one men's retreats where Father Hardon said this often. He would also say we 'will need the blood of martyrs in our veigns' to live out our faith in the future. Seems we are so very close to that point now. Oh, how I hope I have prepared well for this moment.

    Northern Ireland[edit]
In Northern Ireland, AP has controversially supported the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission in its work to develop and promote proposals for a Bill of Rights for the region. It has also funded a coalition of civil society groups, the Bill of Rights Consortium.[16]

    Republic of Ireland[edit]
AP has invested over $1 billion in third-level education on the island of Ireland, funding research facilities at the University of Limerick and Dublin City University as well as a library and sports facility at Trinity College Dublin.[17] AP's grants in Ireland have been credited by some for stimulating the Irish economy in the 1990s.[18]

In 2009, AP indicated that it would grant €80 million in Ireland in 2009 to children, elderly and human rights projects.[19] In 2011, AP awarded a €1.2 million grant to Barnados, one of Ireland's best-known children charities.[20]

In 2004–13, AP provided $11.5m and political advice to the Gay and Lesbian Equality Network and three other Irish gay-rights groups.[21][22][23] Prior to the 2015 same-sex marriage referendum, Catholic commentator Breda O'Brien characterised this as "American money buy[ing] an Irish referendum".[23]

today is St. Philip Neri's day

We often worry more about what others think that about what God thinks. Our fear of people laughing at us often stops us from trying new things or serving God. Do something today that you are afraid might make you look a little ridiculous. Then reflect on how it makes you feel. Pray about your experience with God.

    Prayer:
Saint Philip Neri, we take ourselves far too seriously most of the time. Help us to add humor to our perspective -- remembering always that humor is a gift from God. Amen
