MARI LOLI MEETS POPE JOHN PAUL II https://ourlady.ca/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Lolis-Encounter-with-John-Paul-II.pdf
Many people have written me upset over the EWTN interview with Colin Donovan, where he tries to discredit Conchita because she didn't become a Nun. If this "Marian expert" had bothered to take some time to read up on the subject he would have found that it was JESUS HIMSELF HE TOLD HER NOT TO ENTER THE CONVENT ! READ FOR YOURSELF. JANUARY 1, 1965: CONCHITA'S IMPRESSIVE AND UNEXPECTED ECSTASY AT THE PINES: THE BLESSED VIRGIN OF MOUNT CARMEL REVEALS TO HER THE FUTURE "AVISO" . . . On this "first Friday of the month," Feast also of the Octave of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus, the Blessed Virgin appeared to Conchita at the Pines. The apparition, not previously announced to her during the preceding locution of December 8, lasted two hours, and unfolded in great discretion: two small shepherd lads, a little boy and a little girl, coming down the mountain with their sheep, were, in effect, the only witnesses of the ecstasy. On the same day, Conchita would reveal to Maximina the nature of her ecstasy, which bore mainly on the future Aviso. Still unpublished today, here is the very first reported written text by the visionary herself, a letter she was to send to Joey Lomangino on May 28, 1965: "The world is always carrying on the same way, if not worse. Few paid attention to the Message (the first one, October 18, 1961). My Son will have to give another one, and this will be the last one. After June 18 (1965) and before the Miracle, there will come a "disaster" from heaven, it will be an "Aviso" for the world to amend its ways. If, with this trial and the Miracle, Humanity does not change, the Chastisement will fall on us and the end of the times will also come. The "disaster," as she told me, is horrible, the kind we deserve. The Blessed Virgin also told me that we must not grieve over the material sufferings of the "chastisement" that we ourselves will have brought about because of our sins committed against her Son. These are the last avisos (warnings), and we must derive benefit from them. She told me again that the world believes there is a Heaven and a hell, but we do not think that we will have to go to the one or the other. Humanity thinks only about the present life (. . .)" The girls, especially Conchita, used several similar expressions to designate the future Warning: "trial," "a most powerful shock," "catastrophe," "disaster," "purification," "correction of the moral conscience of the world" . . . These different terms and expressions were, in fact, referring not only to the physical impact and cosmic dimension of the Aviso, but also to its interior moral and spiritual dimension, both of them to be experienced by all human persons, being Christian or not, and even by those not believing in God, the Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel even revealing to Conchita the very name of that future Warning during this same January 1, 1965: "It begins with the letter "A": neither "astra" (meaning a heavenly body), nor "asteroid": could it not be the word "absinth" or "Wormwood" (Rev. 8:10-11), "Ajenjo" in Spanish (so much so since Conchita will say eventually that "the Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel did tell me the name . . . in Spanish), which name I saw in the dictionary, but not understanding its meaning there!" [From 'Garabandal' Book, page 186]
A Jan 1 Warning in whatever year? Hmmmm? Also we see here that all the adjectives described of the future event- “disaster, catatrophe, trial, powerful shock, purification,” etc all describe the Warning itself and not some specific terrible event leading up to the Warning even know we do know the world be in a extremely bad state leading up to the Warning-worse than even now. Is that accurate Glenn? Thanks Prayers!
Sorry, because of bad English I'm not sure if I got it right. A "Jan 1 Warning" is just your speculation, John T, or is there an evidence in the text above which i do not understand? Thank you!
Just my opinion. Thus the question mark and the “Hmmmm?” I’m basing that opinion on the date our Blessed Mother told Conchita about the Warning(Aviso) on Jan 1 (1965). But again just my opinion. Peace. Happy New Year!
AFFIRMATIONS OF FAITH AT GARABANDAL https://ourlady.ca/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/Affirmatipns-of-Faith-at-Garabandal-.pdf
Glenn, I have never seen that interview but I see that Colin Donovan has some very good things to say about Garabandal here http://www.ewtn.com/expert/answers/garabandal.htm although I am not sure that he knows all of the details of what occurred there in regard to the apparitions. I was wondering if you or anyone here knows if the outdoor stations of the cross at San Sebastian de Garabandal were in place before the apparitions began or if they were put in place during or after the apparitions had begun? Thank you.
Hi Carol. Those Stations were put in long after the apparitions. The Village was built up more only over the last 20-25 yrs. Hapoy New Year
John, Thank you and Happy New Year to you too and to everyone else here including Glenn and Padraig, of course!

Did Padre Pio believed or he didn't in Garabandal ? I don't understand anything... A devout 93-year-old Irishman in Cork City who grew close to Padre Pio's inner circle during the early 1960s asserts that the saint had grave concerns about the future. "The world is afire," the man, Dónal Enright, quotes Saint Pio, the famous stigmatic, as remarking, when asked about coming times. "The flames of perdition are already lit; if men don't return to God, millions will die and millions will prefer to be dead." Enright said such prophetic utterances were conveyed to him and others by Mary Pyle, an American woman from New York City who spent forty-five years at San Giovanni Rotundo in the east-central region of Italy known as the Gargano as a personal assistant and interpreter for the saint. Entire books have been written about Pyle, who was received into the Franciscan Third Order by Pio himself and was described as the saint's best friend. She died the same year as Pio, an event that Enright says was foreseen by the future saint, who told her she would go before he did. (Pyle died on April 6, 1968; Pio died on September 23 of that same year.) Enright said he did not carry on many direct conversations with the famous mystic out of respect for the monk but was often present in the sacristy with a small group of followers for the daily blessing following Pio's extraordinary liturgy. The saint gave a personal rosary to Enright, who arrived at San Giovanni in October of 1960 and spent the rest of that year and the entirety of 1961 in proximity to the Franciscan monastery that Saint Pio called home for half a century. Enright, who became a close friend of Pyle's, says he has no doubt that Pio foresaw extremely tumultuous times for men. "In the end, the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Mother will triumph," opines Enright, who is currently at a nursing facility in Cork City but remains unusually alert, well-spoken, and strikingly lucid. "It will not be the end of the world but of Satan's time; the devil will be driven back to hell. People will come back to God." For our discernment. The Irishman further says he was told by Pyle that Saint Pio believed there would be a time of enlightenment after the chastisement and that "there will be a cure for cancer, and it will be so simple the medical experts will all wonder why they never thought of it earlier. "It [the renewal] will be the biggest victory since Calvary. I believe there will be a 'warning' sign before Our Lady's victory, but I'm not sure when." Enright indicated he does not believe the entire third secret of Fatima -- which included the image of an angel torching the world -- has been released. Enright says he asked Pio through Pyle about alleged apparitions that were occurring at the time in north-central Spain in a mountain hamlet called Garabandal, which has been in the spotlight of late due to the death of a man who was closely affiliated with it. "She said he (Padre Pio) approved of it," Enright told Spirit Daily. "That was in 1961. When I went back and asked in 1963 about Garabandal, she (Pyle) said Padre Pio said that Satan had entered Garabandal. Pyle was emphatic about Garabandal." Concerns about possible diabolical infiltration have been expressed elsewhere through the years, including by the mother of seer Conchita Gonzalez. Enright questioned certain prophecies from the apparition, including one to do with a priest who was supposed to be incorrupt but during a later reburial was found to be in a skeletal state. He asserts that when one of the seers traveled to San Giovanni Rotundo, she received a general blessing with others but later, when brought before Pio by a Spanish priest for a personal blessing, was denied for reasons that Pio never revealed. "They surmised it was because her skirt was a bit above the knees," Enright claims. It is impossible to confirm or dismiss such assertions. He also said there have been errant reports that a cloth or veil placed over Pio's face upon death had been given to the seer at Pio's request. "There were four cloths," says Enright, who kept close contact with those at the monastery. "They were like handkerchiefs. It was a priest who cut off a piece of one and gave it to the seer. There are just many, many errors in what has been written about Garabandal and Padre Pio." Enright's assertions potentially explain discrepancies through the years, with some claiming Padre Pio believed in Garabandal and even encouraged at least one devout man, Joey Lomangino, of Long Island -- in 1963 -- to go there (Lomangino, who died last week, became a fervent promoter of the site; he returned often to visit San Giovanni Rotundo), while a priest, Father Ermelindo de Capua, who had served as Padre Pio's English translator in the saint's later years, says Pio was negative about it. The Garabandal seer reportedly visited San Giovanni in 1966 during a trip to Rome, where Pope Paul VI reportedly blessed her. Enright believes that there is truth to the apparitions and that a prophesied great "miracle" will be seen at the site, high up in the beautiful Cantabrian Mountains. "It was definitely real. He [Padre Pio] believed the Blessed Mother was (initially) appearing there." One website asserts that "Father Bernardino, then acting Superior of Padre Pio’s convent in San Giovanni Rotondo, wrote a letter in 1969, which contained the following; 'While he was living, the same Padre Pio guaranteed the authenticity of the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin. He met with [the seer] at San Giovanni Rotondo. Even during the last days of his life, he talked about this to his brothers in religious life (noting that Padre Pio was also careful not to take a public stance on them)." orangina, spiritdaily is ONLY SUPPORTIVE OF MEDJUGORJE ! I have written rebuttals over the years which have NEVER been printed. As a personal friend of Conchita's, I've been to her house countless times since 1993, and she has humbly showed me the collection of personal gifts from Saint Pio to her. Saint Pio CONFIRMED to many people his undeniable approval. PADRE PIO'S BELIEF IN GARABANDAL : Joey Lomangino’s recall of the when he talked to Padre Pio: “We made arrangements to come back again that same day and greeted Padre Pio in the cloister. When we knelt down, we said to him, “Padre Pio, is it true that the Virgin is appearing to the four girls of Garabandal?” And he said, “Yes.” We said, “Padre Pio, should we go there? He said, “Yes, why not?” And that’s how it happened. Because I received the assurance from Padre Pio that the Virgin was appearing and that he permitted me to go, then I wasn’t afraid and I went. “ Saint (Padre) Pio affirms Garabandal to a PH.D in confession. Joachim Bouflet,PH.D. went to Padre Pio for confession in July of 1968. Padre Pio told him "Pray to the Madonna. Consecrate yourself to the Virgin of Carmel." "Yes, Padre, I pray to Our Lady of Mount Carmel. For that matter, I would like to become a Carmelite." He didn't comment on this but repeated with insistence, "Consecrate yourself to the Virgin of Carmel who appeared at Garabandal." Bouflet:"So it's true?" Padre Pio : "Certo e vero!" ("Yes, it's true!") “While he was living, the same Padre Pio guaranteed the authenticity of the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin. He met Conchita at San Giovanni Rotondo. Even during the last days of his life he talked about this to his brothers in religious life and left a personal message for the principle personage of the apparitions. “ Fr. Pelletier -“Our Lady comes to Garabandal” page 219 From the book “The Final Hour “ page 141 On the topic of Padre Pio ‘s belief in Garabandal: “Asked on another occasion about its authenticity, he answered curtly, ”How many times must she appear there to be believed ? “ From the book “Thunder of Justice “ page 163 : An incident which confirms Padre Pio’s belief in Garabandal occurred early in 1966. Conchita, who was only 16 years old, was visiting Rome with her mother and Fr. Luna. She had been invited by Cardinal Ottaviani, Prefect of the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith. During the visit, Conchita met privately with Padre Pio. On this occasion, he took Conchita’s hand and her crucifix that Our Lady had kissed in Garabandal and held them both in his own two hands. The crucifix had passed through the hands of the child Jesus, during the apparition of November 13,1965. Upon Padre Pio’s death in 1968 ,his close friend Father Bernardino Cennamo, was instructed to give Conchita several of his personal items. The priest gave Conchita one of the three veils that covered Padre Pio's face during his wake, saying that the stigmatist had requested this before he died. Conchita also was given Padre Pio's rosary, and one of the gloves he wore, stained by his stigmata. Conchita recounts: “I had the veil in front of me, as I was writing later that evening. When suddenly the whole room became filled with fragrance, the perfume so strong I started to cry.” The Emotion of Padre Pio about Conchita and his own words : Poor Conchita as she has suffers ... Loving the Blessed Virgin Mary with all his heart, belong to Her and working for Her, Our Lady of Garabandal, She is the one who has set her foot on the Mountain ... She is the Star on the Mountain (Father Laffineur has used Padre Pio words to call his own book “She is the Star on the Mountain) ...Padre Pio also added, We must support the seers of Garabandal…… March 3, 1962 ( Padre Pio wrote the girls a letter, this is the last sentence ) “ I would advise you to pray and make others pray because the world is on the road to perdition. They don’t believe in you or your conversations with the Lady in White now, but they will believe when it is too late.”
