MASS FOR PRAYER REQUESTS IN GARABANDAL Every last Thursday of the month, the Pastor of Garabandal offers a Mass for prayer requests. You have a few days to send your request by Wednesday, so it arrives on time. Requests sent using this form in Spanish ( below ) are received in the email address of the Parish. Then printed and delivered every Thursday the Pastor, to be deposited in an urn at the foot of the altar , through the intercession of Our Lady of Carmel, before the Blessed Sacrament exposed in the Chapel of San Sebastian de Garabandal. I have downloaded the English explanation, but you might want to use " Google Translate" or something like that to send your prayers in Spanish so they can read it. TODAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY: MARCH 25, 1962: AN OUTSTANDING "FEAST OF THE ANNUNCIATION" AT GARABANDAL A sheer wonder as well was this Feast of the "Annunciation" (or "Incarnacion del Senor," as it is still called, and rightly so, in Spain) in the little village of San Sebastian de Garabandal. From 9:30 p.m. until midnight, Conchita, Mari-Loli and Jacinta, in ecstasy, sang the entire Rosary for the first time! They added several verses, that the Blessed Virgin inspired them to sing, to the traditional announcements of the different mysteries, including several short stanzas from the Ave Maria of Fatima. Always in ecstasy, the girls invited the people to join them in their singing. They rejoiced over the number of people accompanying them, and exclaimed: "Ah, how happy the Blessed Virgin is! How she is smiling, and how she is looking at all of us!" The stanzas 3, 4, 5 and 6 were taken, as we said, from the Ave Maria of Fatima. The "three times" to which the children refer in the seventh stanza were obviously corresponding to the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Lourdes, at Fatima and at Garabandal. By virtue of the traits and accent proper to each of these "Three greatest public Marian apparitions," we can already observe how Lourdes is related to the Joyful Mysteries, Fatima to the Sorrowful Mysteries, and Garabandal to the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary. A truly admirable "spiritual logic"! Translation of a few stanzas sung by the visionaries in ecstasy: O MOST BLESSED MARY, FLOWERS, WE BRING YOU, THE HOLY ROSARY, TO YOU WE OFFER. (AVE MARIA, AVE MARIA, ETC . . .) O BLESSED MARY, YOUR EYES ARE NOW FIXED . . . ON EACH AND EVERY HEART OF THIS HUMAN WORLD. (AVE MARIA, AVE MARIA, ETC . . .) THE FASHIONS BEAR US TO THE FIRES OF HELL. SO, MODESTY DRESS IF YOU WISH TO BE SAVED. (AVE MARIA, AVE MARIA, ETC . . .) There’s also a Synod scheduled for Oct of 2019. So it’s obviously not known if either this years Synod or next years is THE Synod “shortly before the Warning.” Time will tell. Only God knows if it’s one of those 2 or another one in future.
A BLESSED EASTER TO ALL HERE ! Garabandal and the Holy Shroud Only after Father Eusebio Garcia de Pesquera had written his comprehensive book on Garabandal, SHE WENT IN HASTE TO THE MOUNTAIN, did it come to light that the Shroud was mentioned at Garabandal. It was during one of Conchita's ecstasies when the Blessed Virgin spoke to the visionary about the Sabana Santa (Spanish for Holy Shroud). Among the spectators at that ecstasy was the Marquesa de Santa Maria, an excellent witness, and it was from her that Prof. Jacques Serre learned what the Virgin said about the Shroud. The Marquesa heard Conchita repeat the words of Our Lady: "It is the divine imprint of my Son."

Today marks the 2005 passing of one of the greatest Popes (and recent Saints) of our time, Saint (Pope ) John Paul II. His belief in Garabandal encouraged us even more to believe and promote it. There is a book on Garabandal, written by Albrecht Weber in 1993, entitled Garabandal Der Zeigefmger Gottes (Garabandal: The Finger of God), of which a first edition copy was presented to Pope John Paul II. He later asked his secretary, Fr. (now Archbishop) Stanislaus Dziwisz, to write to the author. In the subsequent printing (2000) of the book, on page 19, a portion of the Pope's message is reprinted, as follows:"May God reward you for everything. Especially for the deep love with which you are making the events connected with Garabandal more widely known. May the Message of the Mother of God find an entrance into hearts before it is too late. As an expression of joy and gratitude, the Holy Father gives you his apostolic blessing."Weber writes, "From the attached greeting in the Pope's own handwriting, with his signature, it is clear how deep an interest he has in the events of Garabandal, and how anxious he is that they should be made known in a credible way." On July 23, 1988, during a special general audience with the Pope at the Vatican ... "special" because it was held on Saturday, rather than the usual Wednesday... Father Robert introduced Garabandal Visionary Mari-Loli and family to him. Father Robert who was holding 7 year old Maria Dolores, one of the three Lafleur children, said to the Pope: "Your Holiness, a special blessing for your littlest children who come on behalf of The Blessed Virgin from Garabandal." Hi Glenn, I think this is my second message to you. I've always felt that this blog is alarming,astonishing,awe-inspiring,beautiful,breathtaking etc... you get the picture. I'm a 40 yr old Catholic who has been touched by the events of Garabandal. I want to thank you for this blog. Regretfully, I believe its the only thing that inspires me spiritually. Please pray for me......

Why do I stress doing the “Morning Offering” ? An interview with Conchita, directed by Monsignor Francisco Garmendia, Auxiliary Bishop of New York August 27, 1981, in New York. FG: What would you advise us to fulfill the Message of Garabandal? Conchita: “This is individual, each person knows, and each person is different, as the Virgin told us. I told Gladys yesterday that one day I wore like a hair shirt around my waist to make sacrifices and in one of the Apparitions, I told the Virgin and made motions pointing that it hurt here. Then she told me that it was not what she asked, but to offer every moment. In that moment she told me to obey my mother and to do things for the love of God and to make small sacrifices.” FG: So it is not a matter of beginning to do things, saying, now I am going to fast, now I am going to make large sacrifices, but to bear with what you are sent each day. Conchita: “ I believe that everyone is different, but She told us this. Sometimes one needs to make great sacrifices, sometimes I need to do it to gain God’s pardon or to gain a special grace but the Virgin told us to offer those things of each moment.” This is why I stress doing the “Morning Offering each day ! “ LIVE THE MESSAGE “ & THE ROSARY At age 16 Conchita was already was spiritually wise: "There is no point in our believing in the apparitions if we do not heed the message." “To guess at dates regarding the [prophesied] Miracle shows a lack of faith in the Blessed Virgin .Indeed, the energies expended on this are so much better spent on living the Message! “ If people wonder why God chose this place for the apparitions, here’s an interesting fact. I have posted the story that God and our Blessed Mother consider Garabandal “Sacred Ground”. It is a confirmed fact that the Rosary has been said there on a nightly basis for over 500 years ! When Mary first appeared at Garabandal, the first thing she taught the girls, was the Rosary. She actually took the time to teach them all the words and especially to emphasize saying it slowly. She taught the children to recite the rosary each time they saw her and that they actually did recite it during every apparition . Conchita, diary, jp89: "The rosary is a very important part of the Blessed Virgin's message"..." Mary also emphasized the importance of the daily rosary not only for our personal needs each day, but also she reminded the girls of the importance to pray for the dead, and especially her priests. I always thought it was interesting that of all the people in the world who supported and believed in Garabandal , the most influential was Padre Pio. He was known to have a great affection for our Blessed Mother, and coincidently, the rosary. He would do up to 30 rosaries a day ! Many years ago ,while having a conversation with Conchita, she asked me " Do you do the rosary everyday ? " I said " well, ...not everyday, I'm busy,I have several jobs". She said " Don't promote the messages ,unless you are going to live the messages". Wow, that kind of knocked me for a loop, but she's right ! It is amazing that when you make the time to do those things , it seems like there is plenty of time to do them. God is funny that way. One of the most powerful weapons we all have ,is sitting right in our homes everyday, waiting to be used, USE IT !

That was very detailed information. Thanks Glenn. I knew these things but often forget the sometimes “important” detail here and there. It’s a great reminder. Some thoughts that struck me: I laughed when Mari Loli said the Warning was soon in 1975 interview. But then later she explained that to mean time goes but so fast so that’s why it’s “soon” to her (despite now being 43 yrs later now & counting from then). May she RIP & Pray for us. Now I know we shouldn’t harp about dates, but since dates were in these interviews I noted/was pensive about The statementMari Loli said that the Blessed Mother told her the Warning and Miracle are “within same year.” So that being “analyzed” or thought out- the next stop for both Events is 2020 based on that statement by Mari Loli- again told to her by Our Blessed Mother per the interview. Simply because the Miracle is in the Month of April deducted from other interviews with Conchita, the Warning is in an “even” year (said by Mari Loli (Neither event happening this year because so many things-namely 3 things that have to happen before Warning-haven’t happened yet) and again, Per this interview given by Mari Loli, the two events-Warning and Miracle- are “within same year.” So 2020 is next up. Of course it could be later but 2020 is next up. Time will tell. Lastly, and I was a bit sad re this. That being the several answers given By Conchita re Joey recovering his sight on the day of the Miracle. Conchita was simply repeating what Our Blessed Mother told her. And since Our Mother in Heaven NEVER lies it means we simply DO NOT UNDERSTAND IT and won’t fully if at all until the day of the Miracle. I’m in the belief what Glenn says that we will be surprised on Miracle day what we learn re this (again if God permits us to know). RIP Joey. We miss you dearly. Pray for us!!
