TODAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY Feb. 12,2007 In April 2007, Joey Lomangino, received from Conchita a letter, dated 12 February 2007, she had herself received from Archbishop Carlos Sierra of Oviedo, then the acting Apostolic Administrator for the Diocese of Santander, which read: “I want you to know that I am open to receiving and considering all information about Garabandal, and would like to continue—as long as our Holy Father wishes me to serve as Apostolic Administrator—the work that my brothers at the Bishopric have already done in reference to this subject. What I have just done is authorize the priests to go to Garabandal and hold Holy Mass at the Parish, at any desired time, and to administer the Sacrament of Reconciliation to anyone that wishes to receive it. I am sure the next Bishop will promote further studies to examine in depth the Garabandal events and will send the findings to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in Rome. I respect apparitions and have known of authentic conversions. How can we not always feel the need to open our heart to our Mother Mary to tell her that we need her protection, her help, her courage, her hope, her faith and her love when faced with these events! I encourage you to keep maintaining such devotion toward our Mother”

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 13,1966 CHRIST’S FINAL LOCUTION TO CONCHITA On February 7,1966 her own birthday, Conchita was leaving her village to go to the College of the Discalced Missionary Carmelites, at Pamplona. She was 17 years old and wanted to become a Postulant,then a novice in the Congregation, hoping that she would someday work among the Africans. But in a second locution that week, Conchita learned that the Lord was not calling her to be a religious sister. Conchita: “On Sunday February 13,1966, at the moment of Thanksgiving after communion, I received both a great joy and yet a greater distress, as well as a disappointment ! I heard the voice of Christ telling me: “ Conchita, you came here to college to prepare yourself to become MY bride and as you say, to follow me. Are you not saying, Conchita , that you do not want to do My will ? Well, now it is your will that you want to fulfill. Do you want to do like this all your life ? I choose you in the world, that you may stay in it ,so that you may face many vexations that you will find there for MY sake. I want all that for your sanctification, and so that you may offer this for the salvation of the world. You must speak to the world about Mary. Remember that in July , you asked me if you would be a religious sister. I answered you : You will find a cross and suffering everywhere. I am telling you this again”. “ Conchita, did you feel My call to become My bride ? No ! Because I did not call you”. I asked him : “ And how does one feel Your call to become a religious ? “ He told me : “ Don’t worry about that, you will not feel it “. I asked Him : Then you do not love me, Jesus ? “ He replied : Conchita, you ask me that ? Who redeemed you ? Fulfill MY will and you will find MY love. Examine yourself well. Think more of others, do not fear temptations. If you are faithful to MY love, you will overcome the many temptations awaiting you. Be intelligent, understand what I told you in a spiritual way. Do not close the eyes of your soul. Do not let anyone decieve you. Love humility,simplicity. Never think that what you are doing is great. Think of what you have to do, of what you must do,not to meritHeaven, but to save the world so that it may fulfill my divine will. Every soul that prepares itself, every soul well disposed to hear Me, will know MY will. “ “ Conchita, I wish to tell you that you will suffer a great deal from now on until the Miracle,for few will believe you. Me and Mary whom love you so much. “ I asked Him if in Rome also I would not be believed and he did not answer me. Then he told me : Do not worry about whether or not you are believed. THE REVERENT HORSE On Sunday June 27, 1993, a group of pilgrims from France praying the Rosary at the Pines of Garabandal, were surprised by a horse that appeared on the scene. But the most remarkable thing was that this horse stood reverently next to the main Pine that has the image of Our Lady mounted on it. During the Rosary, the horse, lowered its head, remained motionless throughout the length of the Rosary. When the rosary finished, he raised its head and began to walk away. Mary mentions “ Hell “. The Blessed Virgin reaffirmed at Garabandal the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church. from “GARABANDAL JOURNAL” Nov-Dec. 2002 MARY ON HELL: While hell is seldom if ever preached today in the majority of churches, the Blessed Virgin did not hesitate to make reference to it at Garabandal. In her second Message of June 18, 1965, delivered by Saint Michael on her behalf to Conchita, Our Lady said: "Many cardinals, many bishops and many priests are on the road to perdition and are taking many souls with them." If there is any doubt that perdition refers to hell, here is the Webster's Unabridged dictionary description: Perdition: 1. a state of final spiritual ruin; loss of the soul; damnation. 2. the future state of the wicked. 3. hell. In that same Message, Our Lady again alluded to hell when she said: "You are now receiving the last warnings. I love you very much and do not want your condemnation." Fashions dragging girls to Hell ? April 11, 1993, Interview with Conchita’s oldest brother, Serafin Gonzalez. Question: “ What did the Virgin say to the girls about fashions? “ Serafin: ”She told them that fashions drag people to hell and they should dress with decency and modesty if they want to be saved. These were her words. Much more meaningful now than it was back then when you consider the disaster all around (with the fashions). Hierognosis examples at Garabandal by Father José Ramon Garcia de la Riva “Several episodes of hierognosis (unexplainable recognition of religious relics or persons) happened in front of me at Garabandal. Without question, the visionaries recognized persons consecrated to God. They also knew the number of priests present in the village. In her diary, Conchita points out a Dominican who was there incognito. During her ecstasy, she spoke of him and they heard her call him “dominicou.” Later she warned him on behalf of the Virgin that he should wear his habit . . . “So beautiful!” * Also, the girls recognized whether an object had or had not been kissed by the Virgin. While in ecstasy, always. A hundred proofs of this could be given. I can personally verify that, even in the normal state, Conchita knew this. An example: — “Conchita, during the next apparition, would you offer this rosary for the Virgin’s kiss?” — “But it’s already been done.” Since I was sure that she had never seen it, I insisted. — “Be nice, do me a favor. Offer it during the apparition.” — “But why do you want her to redo it, since it has already been done?” she answered smiling. THE BLESSED MOTHER SPEAKS ABOUT CONFESSION AT GARABANDAL. At Garabandal the Blessed Virgin reinforced the importance of personal confession. When interviewed in April of 1983, visionary Jacinta Moynihan was asked: "Did the Blessed Virgin ever speak to you about the Sacrament of Reconciliation?" She replied: "Yes she did. Now there are people who want to do away with it, but the Virgin said it was muy importante - very important." On September 8, 1961, Canon Julio Porro Cardenoso asked the Virgin through the visionaries what she urged the Spanish people to do above all to amend their lives. The answer was: "Let them go to confession and receive Communion." “Affirmations of the Faith at Garabandal” : The Blessed Virgin reaffirmed at Garabandal the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church. START OFF LENT WITH THE MORNING OFFERING PRAYER. Our Blessed Mother said in Garabandal on October 18th, 1961, "We must make many sacrifices, perform much penance, and visit the Blessed Sacrament frequently. But first, we must lead good lives. " Through the "Morning Offering of Reparation" every act you do becomes a sacrifice. The word "sacrifice" means to make "holy." Once you have made your morning offering you make "holy" every act you do throughout the day. Conchita suggests we all should start our day with this morning offering prayer: “ O Jesus, through the Immaculate heart of Mary, and in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass being offered throughout the world, I offer you all my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate heart of Mary, for my sins, and the sins of the whole world. “
Many people have asked me what Conchita had recommended in the past for Lenten penances , as always, a simple and spiritual answer. Corporal works of mercy 1. To feed the hungry. 2. To give water to the thirsty. 3. To clothe the naked. 4. To shelter the homeless. 5. To visit the sick. 6. To visit the imprisoned, or ransom the captive. 7. To bury the dead. Spiritual works of mercy 1. To instruct the ignorant. 2. To counsel the doubtful. 3. To admonish the sinners. 4. To bear patiently those who wrong us. 5. To forgive offenses. 6. To comfort the afflicted. 7. To pray for the living and the dead.
WHEN WILL THE WARNING HAPPEN ? I see many people asking me when is the Warning, or offering up a date, without remembering to check the criteria FIRST. So here it is. We were not given the exact time and date, but we were given 3 clues as to when the Warning is approaching soon. The three clues were after an "important Synod," also “when Communism comes again “ and the global effects of Communism, especially religious persecution, and difficulty of mass being said and lastly the Pope returning from a visit to Moscow, Russia (and hostilities breaking out in Europe. Remember Mary said also “ No World War 3 “, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be conflicts). When all 3 have taken place, we are very close to the Warning ! Now other important details are Mari Loli told us that the Warning will happen in an “even year”, and the “same year” as the Miracle. (Calendar year, I know this because she also told us it would happen either 3 weeks or 3 months BEFORE the Miracle, she couldn’t remember which one ). Let’s all just go to mass and confession as frequently as possible, say a daily rosary, and pray for a global repentance and conversion when the Warning & Miracle do come. God bless, Glenn
Glenn, I am struggling with one thing - How Mari Loli could forget something our Blessed Mother told her. It was a very long time ago, yes, but this would have been so very important, as is everything Our Lady relates, that it bothers me just a little. I know that it's a possibility that she was meant to forget for some reason but why would she have been told in the first place then? Forgive my limited knowledge.
Putting aside the whole issue of "how could she forget", because even Conchita has told me in conversations, that she has forgotten certain details, like the date you met St. PadrePio ! ???? How ? Lets use logic to surmise a realistic possibility of the more important issue, when ? . If you were giving people the event of the "Warning", and want the full impact on a person, would you wait 3 weeks or 12 weeks to give them the Miracle ? People generally have short attention spans, so I'd go with the 3 weeks, and you ?[/QUOTE]
