Pelican on the Tabernacle door. I was asked “why is there a symbol of a Pelican on the Tabernacle in the church at Garabandal?” In Europe, the pelican was thought to be particularly attentive to her young, to the point of providing her own blood by wounding her own breast when no other food was available. As a result, the pelican became a symbol of the Passion of Jesus and of the Eucharist since about the 12th century.
I was asked why is Conchita giving us 8 days notice before the” Great Miracle” ? No reason was given by her but to my knowledge, the number eight in the Bible signifies “Resurrection and Regeneration.” It is the number of a new beginning. So it will be with the era after the Warning and great Miracle.
People always ask me why I am so sure the Warning & Miracle are in the same exact year, and so close to each other. I have proven the Miracle is in April already, and this information confirms my belief that the Warning is from January-to the end of March. Miracle after the Warning , 3 weeks or 3 months? ( backing up when Mari Loli said they are in the "same year" in the 1975 interview.) The following email was sent to me by famous author and lecturer of Garabandal, Thomas Fahy. Fahy is the author of “Suddenly & Unexpectedly” The end of our Times. Dear Glenn, In the late 1980´s or early 1990´s, two Priests, whom I knew personally at that time, visited Mari Loli in Massachusetts. On their return one of the Priests told me that Mari Loli disclosed to them, when they were leaving, that the Warning would be in an even-numbered year. Several years later I asked the same Priest if Mari Loli said even numbered year. He said, "Yes". I have also read about or heard the same from other sources, which I do not recall now. In another situation, I was told by a man in Massachusetts, who knows the Pastor of the Church that Mari Loli attended, that Mari Loli was speaking to her Pastor in Massachusetts one day, after he came to know about her relation with Garabandal, and told him that she could not remember whether the Blessed Virgin told her that it was 3 weeks or 3 months that the Warning would precede the Miracle. That would confirm that the Warning and Miracle are in the same year, as she said in her July 27, 1975 publicized interview. I take the same year to be the same calendar year. Fiat, Thomas Fahy
Conchita on Baptism (December 29, 2019 ) I was speaking to Conchita on this day about a Christening I attended, and she said "Your Baptism is more important than your Birthday, because that is the day you become a child of God !" Isn't her spiritual outlook on life amazing ?
I first learned about Garabandal from one of Maria's Talks which she traveled about giving.Eternal rest grant unto Maria, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen

JANUARY 1, 1965: CONCHITA'S IMPRESSIVE AND UNEXPECTED ECSTASY AT THE PINES: THE BLESSED VIRGIN OF MOUNT CARMEL REVEALS TO HER THE FUTURE "AVISO" . . . On this "first Friday of the month," Feast also of the Octave of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus, the Blessed Virgin appeared to Conchita at the Pines. The apparition, not previously announced to her during the preceding locution of December 8, lasted two hours, and unfolded in great discretion: two small shepherd lads, a little boy and a little girl, coming down the mountain with their sheep, were, in effect, the only witnesses of the ecstasy. On the same day, Conchita would reveal to Maximina the nature of her ecstasy, which bore mainly on the future Aviso. Still unpublished today, here is the very first reported written text by the visionary herself, a letter she was to send to Joey Lomangino on May 28, 1965: "The world is always carrying on the same way, if not worse. Few paid attention to the Message (the first one, October 18, 1961). My Son will have to give another one, and this will be the last one. After June 18 (1965) and before the Miracle, there will come a "disaster" from heaven, it will be an "Aviso" for the world to amend its ways. If, with this trial and the Miracle, Humanity does not change, the Chastisement will fall on us and the end of the times will also come. The "disaster," as she told me, is horrible, the kind we deserve. The Blessed Virgin also told me that we must not grieve over the material sufferings of the "chastisement" that we ourselves will have brought about because of our sins committed against her Son. These are the last avisos (warnings), and we must derive benefit from them. She told me again that the world believes there is a Heaven and a hell, but we do not think that we will have to go to the one or the other. Humanity thinks only about the present life (. . .)" The girls, especially Conchita, used several similar expressions to designate the future Warning: "trial," "a most powerful shock," "catastrophe," "disaster," "purification," "correction of the moral conscience of the world" . . . These different terms and expressions were, in fact, referring not only to the physical impact and cosmic dimension of the Aviso, but also to its interior moral and spiritual dimension, both of them to be experienced by all human persons, being Christian or not, and even by those not believing in God, the Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel . CONCHITA’S NEW YEAR’S PRAYER—JANUARY 1, 1967 Mother, I pray that this new year That I not be vain. I ask you also for sincerity, gratitude and Love for You. Lord, this is what I ask of you this year: Give me the spirit of sacrifice, of prayer. Let me receive Communion with more fervor, And visit the Blessed Sacrament more often. Forgive me, Lord. Thank you for all of the good that you have given us. Thank you for all of the good that you have given my family and Forgive us for not always doing what you ask. Lord, thank you for this new year and forgive me for last year. Lord, I pray for all those whom you have commended to me. Above all for those who need you most. Lord, I also pray for the souls in Purgatory. I pray for all of the sick. For those who spread the message; And for those who don’t want to know anything about the message. I pray for everyone. I also pray for those who write to me now, And for all who have written to me telling me about their needs. The events of January 1, 1962. A chance to believe. Dr. Ortiz tells us the following story: “I was in the village with Miss Margarita Huerta who had come from Madrid with a group of people. Three of the girls fell into ecstasy and were walking together through the street just above the plaza, going towards the Church. One of the men from the group, who was following at a distance, suddenly thought, ‘If this is from God, let the middle girl come to me now and offer me the crucifix to kiss.’ Immediately, the girl fell back from the other girls and held up the crucifix for him to kiss! He was very excited and later told us the story”.
Visionaries and Devotion to Mary A statement from Jacinta Gonzalez Moynihan “For me love and devotion for the Virgin Mary is infinitely important as it leads me to the love of Jesus, which is above all things. Maria Saraco passed away on 26th December. I met her while on pilgrimage to Garabandal in 2014. I was with an Irish group while Maria was leading an American group. I spoke to her a couple of times albeit briefly. My avatar shows me with her on one of our chats. I believe Maria headed up the initiative to raise funds for the 'road of mercy'. This is an alternative route up to the pines for those not able to walk the Callejo. RIP Maria, you did sterling work in aid of Garabandal & getting Our Ladys messages out to the general public.
