I am no expert in Garabandal but I strongly suspect that the reason why these messages were suppressed is that they were prophetic regarding the condition of the Church in our present day.

Partly because of this remark from Mary: 2nd message: June 18, 1965-- “As my message of October 18 has not been complied with and has not been made known to the world, I am advising you that this is the last one. Before, the cup was filling up. Now it is flowing over. Many cardinals, many bishops and many priests are on the road to perdition and are taking many souls with them.
Padraig, As one who is called many names here, (good & bad ) I willingly admit ,when it comes to defending our Blessed Mother and her apparitions at Garabandal, I am fierce, unbending, and sometimes intolerant of those who expect every question to have a simplistic answer, (some of which requires a little faith in Mary's promises). Many also forget my childhood bone disease was healed by Joey's medal that Mary kissed at Garabandal, thus instantly convincing me her words were true, and she had my unwavering defense and loyalty forever. So this is more than just a "hobby" for me, its my life's mission, to carry the torch for Mary and the apostolate Joey started. So once again I will try and remind myself on a daily basis and heed your advice, but others should remember I'm only human and can take only so much nonsense from those who are not here to discuss, but disprove the apparitions ( even Jesus overturned tables at the temple when pushed too far) . 2026 new motto : "Charity" Thank you Padraig for the use of this forum.

GARABANDAL'S MOST IMPORTANT DATES June 18,1961 -1st appearance of St. Michael July 2, 1961 - St. Michael appears with the Blessed Mother (her 1st ) July 31,1961 - the girls in ecstasy, fall on the rocks on their knees, and also recite the rosary, without having learned it, without rosary beads, and without making mistakes regarding the “Mysteries”. August 8, 1961 - Fr. Luis Andreau has a vision of Mary, and is shown the “great Miracle”. He yells “ Miracle” 4 times. Later that night he dies on the way home. August 19 ,1961 The girls are 1st kissed by Mary. Oct. 18, 1961 - 1st Message given by St. Michael (from Mary ) June 19 & 20 1962 - the “2 nights of screams”, where the girls are shown the future possible “Chastisement”. June 22, 1962 - St. Michael tells Conchita that there will be a miracle of a “ Visible Host”, and she will announce it 15 days in advance. July 3, 1962 - Conchita announces the Visible host will appear in 15 days. July 18, 1962 - at about 1 am, the host appears on Conchita’s tongue out of thin air, and is caught on film. February, 1963 - Joey Lomangino goes to confession to Padre Pio, and asks if the apparitions are true in Garabandal, and Padre Pio says “ Yes”, and Joey goes to Garabandal and becomes friends with Conchita. July 18,1964 - Conchita is told that the body of the Fr. Luis Andreau (who died on August 8,1961) will be found incorrupt, the day after the “ Miracle”. January 1, 1965 - Mary tells Conchita at the Pines, about the “Warning”. June 18 1965 - St. Michael appears at the same spot he did 4 years ago and delivers Mary’s 2nd message. Nov. 13,1965 - Mary appears for the last time, holding the child Jesus (to Conchita alone). She kisses religious objects, tells Conchita “to visit her Son in the tabernacle, where he waits for us”, tells Conchita she cannot be brought to Heaven right now because “her hands must be filled with deeds, and now her hands are empty”.
Conchita & the doll picture. The reason I selected this picture was on purpose. I remember in the early days of when I was first learning and talking to Joey Lomangino who went to Garabandal countless times, that he had told me the doctors there had said the girls (even though they were 11, 12 years old ,and Conchita was ABOUT 15/16 in this picture ), still played with dolls and had the intellect and psychological understanding of an 8 or 9 year old, due to their remote mountain isolation. Now consider that when all these supernatural events had happened for 4 years ! I mention this to refute the internet lies that these 4 girls managed to orchestrate or fake over 2000 apparitions over 4 years, IMPOSSIBLE ! “The psychological age during the first month of the alleged apparitions would be about 8 or 9 years of age, in comparison with city or school children”. December 21,1998 The healing of Mrs. Consiglia DeMartino,of Salerno Italy, is the Miracle needed for Padre Pio’s Beatification. Saint Pio's belief and endorsement of the Garabandal apparitions ( and friendship with Conchita) is one of the great assurances we have of it's validity. “While he was living, the same Padre Pio guaranteed the authenticity of the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin. He met Conchita at San Giovanni Rotondo. Jacinta’s Vision of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Interview on December 23, 1978 Jacinta was interviewed by the Jesuit missionary Father Francisco Benac at his home in California on December 23, 1978. Here are some excerpts from this conversation: Father Benac: We have read about your vision of the Sacred Heart. Please tell me about this experience. Jacinta: “I recall a day when the four of us went a little further up (in the lane) from where the angel had first appeared—no one from the village followed us—when suddenly the other three fell into ecstasy seeing the angel. I was a little behind and seeing them in ecstasy I said to myself: "But I don't see anything." Then suddenly like a flash, I saw the Sacred Heart of Jesus which made a deep impression on me. He did not speak to me, but His gaze penetrated deep into my heart.” Benac: What impressed you most? Jacinta: His eyes, His look—a gaze that penetrated so deeply into me that I cannot explain it. Benac: What were your thoughts at that moment? Jacinta: Oh, Father, more than seeing Our Lady, this vision of the Sacred Heart had the greatest impact on me even though I did not see Him again. Whenever I see His image, I have an intense feeling of suddenly seeing someone very dear. Benac: Do you still feel this? Jacinta: Oh yes. I saw on the Spain thread that Pádraig is planning to go to Garababdal. I was just thinking that if it is not too much of a detour, one could visit also Fr. Andreau's grave in Ona - which is not too far south of Garabandal. I have forgotten where exactly his grave is located in Ona?

Conchita’s “Kris Kringle” story. It still amazes me to this day how Conchita does everything in her life ( and that of her family ) with a “spiritual “basis. I had called her many years ago (asking how her Christmas was) and was reminded of how they celebrate Christmas, and I’m pretty sure it's different than anyone else’s celebration that I’ve ever heard of. Their form of a “Kris Kringle” (where you secretly buy a gift for someone and reveal it later) is quite unique. It actually starts on Thanksgiving evening. They pick a random name of a family member secretly, and for the entire duration of the Advent season, they pray a daily rosary for the person they picked. On Christmas Day, the only gift given to each person is a Mass card for their intention, revealing who finally was praying for them the whole Advent season. Can you imagine telling your family we are not exchanging gifts but praying Rosaries instead? She is a beacon of holiness and humility in this troubled and selfish world. She finished by saying to me, “What are you doing for Jesus for His birthday?“
