The miracle of the sun is a supernatural event that occurred in Fátima. A miracle of this magnitude in Garabandal should be known worldwide, and I, who live just a few kilometers from San Sebastián de Garabandal, have never heard of it. A miracle related to the Eucharist occurred in Garabandal, "el milagruco" (the little miracle).
Hierognosis examples at Garabandal by Father José Ramon Garcia de la Riva. “Several episodes of hierognosis (unexplainable recognition of religious relics or persons) happened in front of me at Garabandal. Without question, the visionaries recognized persons consecrated to God. They also knew the number of priests present in the village. In her diary, Conchita points out a Dominican who was there incognito. During her ecstasy, she spoke of him and they heard her call him “dominicou.” Later she warned him on behalf of the Virgin that he should wear his habit . . . “So beautiful!” * Also, the girls recognized whether an object had or had not been kissed by the Virgin. While in ecstasy, always. A hundred proofs of this could be given. I can personally verify that, even in the normal state, Conchita knew this. An example: — “Conchita, during the next apparition, would you offer this rosary for the Virgin’s kiss?” — “But it’s already been done.” Since I was sure that she had never seen it, I insisted. — “Be nice, do me a favor. Offer it during the apparition.” — “But why do you want her to redo it, since it has already been done?” she answered smiling. OCTOBER 5 , 1930 JOEY LOMANGINO’S (earthly ) Birthday. I could write pages of what an enormous blessing it was to meet Joey, first as a boy, and have a healing from the kissed medal on my legs, then 20 years later, and start working with him, becoming friends with him, getting to know his family, and all the spiritual lessons he taught me along the way, always with a smile and laughter. I treasured all 20 + years I knew him, and what makes me smile everyday is how all my pages has grown, knowing he is watching over me, and knowing his life's work of making Mary’s “Message of “Garabandal” known around the globe, continues everyday here, with his blessing, since 2009. He was the greatest Apostle of Garabandal. I know he is enjoying his Heavenly reward now. I once asked Joey, “ what was your greatest blessing in life ? “ ( thinking to myself well maybe it’s meeting Padre Pio, Conchita, the messages of Garabandal, his family ). He said “ my blindness “. A little dumbfounded I said “ why ” ? “Because if I had never been blinded , I never would have probably been saved” . He taught me one lesson after another. October 6, 2002, SAINT JOSE MARIE ESCRIVA AND GARABANDAL On October 6, 2002, Pope John Paul II canonized Jose Marie Escriva, the founder of Opus Dei in St Peter’s Square, Rome, in the presence of more than 300,000 people from all round the world. The link between St Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer with the Garabandal apparitions is not well known. In the summer of 1962 he spent a few days of holiday in Suances, Cantabria, during which he visited Garabandal, accompanied by several young men , members of Opus Dei. He spoke cheerfully and profoundly to the girls, an experience they still recall fondly after all these years. As it happens, news of this visit came out by chance years later when somebody showed the girls a prayer picture for God’s favor through his intercession, printed during his canonization. It was then that the girls joyfully recounted the meeting. He would not have risked his reputation if he did not believe in the apparitions, and tell others about his trip to talk to the girls. This was also confirmed by Mother Nieves, Conchita’s Mother Superior at her boarding school.
TODAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY: OCTOBER 7,1962 FEAST OF OUR LADY OF THE HOLY ROSARY AT GARABANDAL The young visionaries, in ecstasy, cried out in unison: "Viva Santo Domingo que lo (i.e. el "Rosario") ha fundado!" ("Long live St. Dominic who 'founded' the Rosary") as they were reciting the rosary. This feast of our Lady of the Holy Rosary was highlighted by the magnificent ecstasy of Conchita who ran through the village, while singing the rosary for more than an hour. According to the visionary “ the rosary is a very important part of the Message of Our Lady at Garabandal”. * On that day as well, the Blessed Virgin kissed Loli’s Missal , page by page. OCTOBER 8, 1962 MARI-LOLI AND JACINTA LEARN ABOUT THE COMING OF A VERY GREAT MIRACLE. After a month of deprivation because of a new disobedience to her parents, Jacinta began to have ecstasies again. On this October 8, 1962, the two visionaries especially learned of the coming of the future great Miracle that would prove the authenticity of the Messages and the "events" occurring at San Sebastian de Garabandal. Mary’s 2nd message: June 18, 1965 “As my message of October 18 has not been complied with and has not been made known to the world, I am advising you that this is the last one. Before, the cup was filling up. Now it is flowing over. Many cardinals, many bishops and many priests are on the road to perdition and are taking many souls with them. Less and less importance is being given to the Eucharist. You should turn the wrath of God away from yourselves by your efforts. If you ask His forgiveness with sincere hearts, He will pardon you. I, your Mother, through the intercession of Saint Michael the Archangel, ask you to amend your lives. You are now receiving the last warnings. I love you very much and do not want your condemnation. Pray to us with sincerity and we will grant your requests. You should make more sacrifices. Think about the passion of Jesus.” As we reflect on this message we can ask ourselves, have we heeded this important message ? 1. Do we pray for Cardinals Bishop's and Priests? 2. Do we adore the Blessed Sacrament? 3. Do we make to turn the wrath of God away from ourselves? 4. Do we ask for forgiveness through the sacrament of reconciliation? 5. Do we make personal requests of our lady with sincere hearts and expectation? 6. Do we make more sacrifices? ? 7. Do we think about the passion of Jesus ? Our lady asks us to amend our lives. “You are now receiving the last warnings” Our lady loves each one of us very much and has given us the way to Holiness and eternal salvation if we follow her requests. Our Lady of Mount Carmel of Garabandal ,pray for us.
Am I the only one who reads this as if it is directed primarily towards certain Cardinals, Bishops and Priests? Also, Our Lady is being censored which is the same thing with Fatima, and apparently the same group of authorities. She let it pass with Fatima, never recalled her lamenting, but here she gives her love and is done.
October 10, 1967 Padre Pio's visit to Garabandal in bilocation! Conchita had written to Padre Pio requesting his advice on various subjects that concerned her, and before the letter had time to reach San Giovanni Rotondo, a group of Padre Pio's spiritual children composed of five Italians, one Frenchman, one Canadian, one Filipino and a Belgian priest, visited her in Garabandal, announcing to her the visit of Padre Pio to respond directly to her questions. Then, on October 10, 1967, through a phenomenon of bilocation (the capacity of one person to be present in two places at the same time), Padre Pio's visit to Conchita took place at her house, where he was about an hour . She can see his figure, unmistakable habit, hear his voice, kiss his hands and notice the penetrating and characteristic perfume that comes out of his wounds. During his visit, he said among other things that he had been in Garabandal four times and, as proof of the authenticity of his presence, he writes in a letter in Aramaic the phrase "in union of prayers" and signed P Pio. Note: It must be reported that Padre Pio never left during his entire religious life, from the Convent in San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy. I read this as a warning to all humanity...to me it sounds like she's at the end of her rope so-to-speak with us. When my mom was at the end of her rope...she use to say to us kids: "... just you wait until your father gets home..." Yikes...
OCTOBER 11, 1962 CONCHITA FALLS IN ECSTASY AT THE EXACT MOMENT OF THE OPENING, IN ROME, OF THE ECUMENICAL COUNCIL VATICAN II On the morning of the Opening of the Second Vatican Council, it was raining heavily in Rome. But when the Conciliar Fathers started in procession towards St. Peter's Basilica, the sky suddenly cleared up and the sun came out again. At that same moment, another amazing phenomenon was unfolding at Garabandal; just as the radio was transmitting, at 8 a.m., the Opening of the Council and the inauguration ceremony, Conchita fell into ecstasy in her home; it lasted throughout her wandering through the lanes of the village, where witnesses could hear the seer talking of the Council with her Vision! The visionary, who did not yet know the date, asked the apparition if the Miracle would occur during the Council. The beginning of an answer would be given to her during an important ecstasy, on the following 18th of November. Reverend Ramon Garcia de la Riva had spent, in the company of several other persons, the night of October 10 to 11 at Conchita's house. OCTOBER 12,1961 MARY THROWS DOWN A STAR ! It was the feast of Our Lady of the Pillar [The feast of Our Lady of the Pillar is on October 12th. It is a great feast day in Spain and Latin America. Juan Alvarez Seco, the chief of the Civil Guard, stated: «On October 12th, while apart from the others, I received the cross to kiss from the four girls, as if it were a congratulation from the Virgin for being the feast of our patron and for having come on that evening to Garabandal.»] during another day of our apparitions, at which Loli and I were present. While we were looking at the Virgin, a star with a very long tail was seen beneath the Virgin's feet. Several people saw this. We asked the Virgin what it meant; but she didn't answer. The ecstasies that began on the evening of October 12th extended into the middle of the night. The people began leaving, and toward 2:30 in the morning almost no one remained in the little village plaza except a small group consisting of responsible men: Dr. Ortiz from Santander, Luis Adaro from Gijón, Rafael Sanz Moliner from Oviedo, and Rufino Alonso from Pola de Siero. They had met there, waiting for their wives who had gone to Mari Cruz' home to collect some religious articles that they had entrusted with the girl to give to the Virgin to kiss. Mari Cruz had an ecstasy during which she had gone up to the Pines. There she had prayed a Station to the Blessed Sacrament, and later stopped in the calleja, at the site of the first apparition, where she prayed another Station. The people in the plaza soon saw two of the girls, Conchita and Loli, go under the balcony or terrace connected to the house of Loli's Grandmother. They were in ecstasy there and let out a shout at the same time as they raised up their arms. "We saw the Virgin throw down a star." «Instinctively» — Dr. Ortiz said — "We looked upwards toward the sky, and we saw a star cross from the north to the south (that is, in the direction toward the Pines) with a great brilliance, leaving a trail that lasted several seconds ... I know that Maximina Gonzalez and other women of the village saw the star too. On the contrary some young boys, who were at the entrance of Ceferino's house and who ran toward the girls on hearing the cry, didn't see anything because they were under the balcony like the girls. After the star had passed, we went where the girls were and accompanied them praying toward the church, at whose entrance the ecstasy stopped. Immediately we asked them: — Why did you scream? — Because we saw the Virgin throw down a star. — But you couldn't have seen the star, since you were under the balcony! — Well we certainly saw it. The Virgin did this." Father Valentin mentions this phenomena in his notes: "We were in the plaza. Conchita and Loli shouted out loud with fear. Everyone was frightened. Some of the people looked at the girls; others looked at the sky. Those who did the latter said that they saw a brilliant star that crossed from one part of the sky to another, and that it could not in any way be mistaken for a shooting star or comet. After having screamed, the girls laughed and went on happily, as if dancing with joy." It is understandable that all these things, wrapped like this in a halo of mystery, and probably magnified by being transmitted from person to person, necessarily had to leave the people very impressed. With all these things happening, it would be easy to think: Where will all this end? Surely all these things are an announcement of something great to come. OCTOBER 13, 1961: A "13TH OF OCTOBER" WITH PROFOUND AND PROPHETIC RESONANCES? A crowd of seventy thousand was present at the "Miracle of the Sun" at Fatima, on October 13, 1917. The Blessed Virgin was appearing for the sixth and last time, on that same day in 1917, to the young visionaries of the Cova da Iria, . . . under the title of 'Our Lady of Mount Carmel'. At Garabandal, on this "October 13," there occurred a mysterious cosmic phenomenon, the only one of which the Blessed Virgin refused to explain the nature or the reason, to the girls! Conchita and Loli, in ecstasy, saw, as it were, a dazzling star, not a comet, "nothing of that kind," said Don Valentin, who, at least in part, had witnessed the event, as had other people there. October 14, 1961 Fr. Ramon Andreu’s trip and miraculous healing. October 14, 1961 Fr. Ramon Maria Andreu’s trip - “We came to San Sebastian de Garabandal." Two days after the feast of Our Lady of the Pillar, there appeared for the first time in Garabandal a German engineer who was residing in Spain at Madrid: Máximo Förschler Entenmann. Although Protestant, he was very closely tied to the Andreu family; because of this he came accompanied by Fr. Ramón María. The journey was not easy. It was the 14th, the second Saturday of October, the octave of that special feast day of the rosary that had taken place in Garabandal. Let us listen to what he says: "Some 20 kilometers before Cossio we had a tremendous smash-up with another car on a mountain pass. The accident could have had fatal consequences. Only later did I come to understand that it was without doubt the Most Holy Virgin who had saved us from certain death. Because of what had happened we came to San Sebastian de Garabandal very late, after eleven at night. We retired to the house where we had lodging (all the houses of the village were open to Father Ramón María Andreu); and following this, at twelve o'clock, Father began to be very sick, with nausea, cold sweats, and terrible pains in his left ankle, which seemed very swollen . . . In the village were a doctor from Santander and a bone specialist from Burgos. [The house where Fr. Andreu and Mr. Forschler were staying belonged to a woman named Epifania, called Fania. Dr. Celestino Ortiz Pérez was the doctor from Santander and Dr. Renedo was the one from Burgos.] I called them. After an examination they made a diagnosis: besides the obvious swelling, there was probably a fracture of the ankle, at least a hairline crack. [So severe were his pains that he was not able to tolerate the slight weight of the sheet put over it to cover it. After a long time — it had to be 3:30 in the morning — we began hearing a noise in the street, and people shouting that the owner of the house should open the door, since Jacinta was there in ecstasy, wanting to come in. Shortly afterwards she appeared in the room, went toward Father and gave him the crucifix to kiss. [Jacinta entered the room, raised the crucifix up in her hand, and said to the vision, “Father is very sick! Cure him. He is delirious , . , Cure him.” At the exact moment when the priest kissed the crucifix that the girl held out to him, his pains disappeared completely. “She went in haste to the mountain”, book 2, pages 21-22
A couple of years ago, the mountains surrounding Garabandal burned. Some time later, I approached the pines and, on the way up, noticed that someone had tried to start a bonfire with malicious intent on the same hill where the apparitions took place. The grass was burned, but instead of spreading to the pines, it went out, and the area was filled with white lilies.
