Yes, and the "End Times" are described by St. Paul as starting when the "man of sin" will rebel against the teachings of God while he "sits" in the "temple of God":

2 That you be not easily moved from your sense, nor be terrified, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by epistle, as sent from us, as if the day of the Lord were at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means, for unless there come a revolt first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, 4 Who opposeth, and is lifted up above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself as if he were God. [2 Thessalonians 2]
St. Paul is describing an illegitimately-elected antipope who gives his consent to mortal sin. The guy who comes after Pope Benedict XVI and sits in the "temple of God" is Jorge Mario Bergoglio. Bergoglio has officially given his consent to the sin of sodomy by commanding his ministers to bless people who are obstinately practicing this sin.

If you will put together what Conchita says with what St. Paul says, then we must conclude that we are in the End Times right now and that the man claiming to be "the Pope" is actually "the man of sin."

No, that's referring to the antichrist, not a pope or antipope. And Conchita mentions the Pope going to Moscow. Not an antipope. Which you might argue doesn't say anything about Francis, but it does say that there is a pope whenever the foretold events begin to happen.

Again, go back to what Conchita said. Count 4 Popes after the death of John XXIII. The last of the 4 Popes is Benedict XVI. So, after Benedict XVI, the "end times" begins, according to Conchita, not me. Pope Benedict XVI died on December 31, 2022.

Now look at what St. Paul said again. The "day of the Lord," which the Church Fathers interpret as the key event near the end of the "end times," will happen ONLY AFTER the "man of sin" sits in the "temple of God." The "man of sin" sitting in the "temple of God" is the FIRST SIGN of the "end times."

Therefore, I argue, the person claiming (illegitimately) to be Pope after Benedict XVI will be the "man of sin." This "man of sin," who the Church Fathers call "the Antichrist," reigns for a short period of time (3.5 years to 7 years after Pope Benedict dies). For argument's sake, let's say his uncontested "reign" starts January 2023.

So, the "pope" who goes to Moscow must be an apparent Pope (but actually an antipope), a man not canonically-elected who deceives people into believing he is a true Pope. Why? Because the Warning and Miracle occur during the "end times." But the "end times" starts immediately after the death of the fourth Pope (Pope Benedict XVI). That would make Jorge Mario Bergoglio "the Pope" during the "end times." Conchita does not mention that the Virgin Mary spoke of a fifth Pope. Why do you think that is? Could that be because the Virgin Mary knew that apparent "Pope" is not a real Pope, but an imposter, a usurper, and a destroyer?

This man, says St. Paul, will teach people to consent to mortal sin. Who, but a person claiming to be a Pope, could cause Catholics to change their traditional beliefs regarding what constitutes mortal sin? Who could convince Catholics that it is morally-acceptable to bless practicing sodomites?

Please read your Catechism, which I have quoted below. When discussing the "end times," the Catechism references the Book of Revelation Chapter 13, which states of the Antichrist that "there was given to him a mouth speaking great things, and blasphemies: and power was given to him to do two and forty months" [Rev. 13:5]. So the reign of the Antichrist (however that is calculated) is a very short period. And his reign is the essential feature of the "end times."

Here is the description of the "end times" according to the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

    The Church's ultimate trial

675 Before Christ's second coming the Church must pass through a final trial that will shake the faith of many believers.573 The persecution that accompanies her pilgrimage on earth574 will unveil the "mystery of iniquity" in the form of a religious deception offering men an apparent solution to their problems at the price of apostasy from the truth. The supreme religious deception is that of the Antichrist, a pseudo-messianism by which man glorifies himself in place of God and of his Messiah come in the flesh.575

676 The Antichrist's deception already begins to take shape in the world every time the claim is made to realize within history that messianic hope which can only be realized beyond history through the eschatological judgement. The Church has rejected even modified forms of this falsification of the kingdom to come under the name of millenarianism,576 especially the "intrinsically perverse" political form of a secular messianism.577

677 The Church will enter the glory of the kingdom only through this final Passover, when she will follow her Lord in his death and Resurrection.578 The kingdom will be fulfilled, then, not by a historic triumph of the Church through a progressive ascendancy, but only by God's victory over the final unleashing of evil, which will cause his Bride to come down from heaven.579 God's triumph over the revolt of evil will take the form of the Last Judgement after the final cosmic upheaval of this passing world.580

    573 Cf. Lk 18:8; Mt 24:12.
    574 Cf. Lk 21:12; Jn 15:19-20.
    575 Cf. 2 Th 2:4-12; I Th 5:2-3; 2 Jn 7; I Jn 2:1 8, 22.
    576 Cf. DS 3839.
577 Pius XI, Divini Redemptoris, condemning the "false mysticism" of this "counterfeit of the redemption of the lowly"; cf. GS 20-21.

The "man of sin" is the Antichrist. The "end times" is not the "end of time". And the deception and reign of the Antichrist happens at the end of time, right before Christ's second coming.

After the current crisis we will be granted an era of peace (long or short nobody knows). That era predates the reign of the Antichrist.

But he's not. He can't be. The timeline alone automatically excludes it. And the established defining characteristics of the Antichrist are missing as well.

No, that's not necessarily true. You don't know how long Francis' papacy will be. You don't know how long the next pope's papacy will be either. And so on.

It's pretty clear that the number of popes were only mentioned in reference to the beginning of the end times. Nobody knows how many more popes will exist until the end of time.

The Antichrist will do the following: deny that Jesus is Christ, that He came in the flesh, exalt himself above God, declare himself God and demand to be worshipped as God.

The fact remains that no pope or antipope did any of that.

Conchita is 75 years old this year. She will announce the Miracle before she dies. The Miracle occurs within the period called "the end times." The Warning precedes the Miracle. The Garabandal prophecies say that BEFORE the Warning occurs "things will be at their worst." The Catechism of the Catholic Church says that "the worst" time for the Church is the period of the Antichrist, the Church's Final Trial.

The order of events is as follows according to Garabandal and the Catechism taken together:

    - End times begins after death of fourth Pope (Conchita)
    > Antichrist/Church's Final Trial/Things at worst/Communism (Catechism + Garabandal)
    > Warning (Garabandal)
    > Miracle (Garabandal)
    > Second Coming (Catechism)

Please read your Catechism. The true "definitive order of justice, love and peace" (Section 672) comes only AFTER the Church's Final Trial. The Antichrist claims to usher in a humanistic peace based on naturalistic human principles (the brotherhood of man ignoring the commandments of God) in opposition to the teaching of Jesus Christ.

Through this false teaching, the Antichrist ushers in a "false peace." He teaches that this false peace will come only if we tolerate sin. Then Jesus comes with Our Lady and crushes him and those who follow him.

You're conflating two different things. Our Lady (via Jacinta) is referring to the current crisis that she's been warning about ever since Fátima. The Warning will come when things are at their worst in the present crisis. It's not when things are at their worst in all of history. And I'm sorry, but you continue to cherry-pick. You are ignoring the fact that after the warning and the miracle there will be an era of peace (the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart) which precedes the reign of the Anthichrist and the end of time. You're are also ignoring the established key characteristics of the Antichrist from the Gospels, which no pope or antipope has or had so far.

    Conchita met Sister Lucy
One of the three visionaries of Fátima, Sister Lucy, was still alive (and is at this writing) during our visit. Conchita told me that once when Sister Lucy was receiving visitors that she was one of those lined up to say hello to her. When Conchita met her, the nun looked up and said, "Don't I know you?" Conchita made light of this as she told me the story, but I couldn't help marveling at such familiarity in this first encounter.
Except from “ Miracle at Garabandal” Chapter 6, by Harry Daly, 1983

Sr. Lucia of Fatima asked the former Bishop pf Fatima if she could go visit Conchita in New York twice! To me this is just one more affirmation of the validity of the apparitions, and Conchita herself.

You are still not reading the Catechism. Please do so.

Any substantial, real "peace" ("my peace I leave you, my peace I give you") that comes to this world will only come AFTER the Church's Final Trial. Any "peace" prior to Christ's return is a false peace engineered by humans, thinking that they can save themselves with a different method than that laid down by Jesus Christ. This false peace is the essential to the concept of "millenarianism" referred to Catechism section 676 that I quoted above.

Those who are waiting for and hoping for this false, human-engineered peace are those who will be deceived by the Antichrist. Here is what St. Paul says about that in 1 Thessalonians 5:

3 For when they [the deceived] shall say, peace and security; then shall sudden destruction come upon them, as the pains upon her that is with child, and they shall not escape. 4 But you [the remnant], brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 For all you are the children of light, and children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

You are the one who's not reading Scripture and what the Cathecism informs about it.

Once again, you continue to ignore the revealed key characteristics of the Antichrist, which are absent from Francis and any previous pope or antipope. You gloss over all of that as if none of that matters, but it does matter and if you're to be taken seriously you can't simply ignore it.

You are also ignoring the fact that Our Lady promised a period of peace that would be granted to the world. Not "false peace" or "human-engineered peace" as you are labeling. But peace. Granted from above. Only after this period of peace will the Antichrist finally appear, deceive the world and reign for a short while until Christ comes.

For discussion's sake, can you describe what you think this "period of peace that would be granted to the world" will look like? Do you think we will have all governments destroying their weapons? Will every person in the world become Catholic? For how long do you believe this "peace" will last?

Also, please provide those quotes from Our Lady to back up your description.

For the record, there will be a supernatural peace granted to certain souls during the worst period of the Antichrist (see Apocalypse 12:14-16). This idea is also captured by the figure of Noah and the Ark. As Jesus says in Matthew chapter 24, the end times will be like the days of Noah. Most will be swept way into error. Only a few will survive spiritually.

  14. LusoKnight

I do not know. If I were to guess, I would say this peace will last at least a generation. I don't think governments have to destroy their weapons for peace to exist. Nor does everyone have to become Catholic, although I do think Catholicism (and the Church itself) will grow again.

    As for the quotes:

"You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is going to end: but if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the Pontificate of Pius XI. When you see a night illumined by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that he is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father. To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of reparation on the First Saturdays. If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred; the Holy Father will have much to suffer; various nations will be annihilated. In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she shall be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world."

Conchita & Jesus’s comment on belief and approval of Garabandal

Conchita: “ I would also like to say about Rome that there are people there who want to put too much pressure on the Church.
I believe that it is better to leave it as it is, and to do what they can. They should try to speak about the Virgin’s Message,
but the rest they should leave in God’s hands.”

The Lord Himself said to me: “Don’t worry about whether they believe you or not, especially in Rome. I will do everything. “

“This is what I would like to say to all those who want for Rome and the Bishop to move ahead.”

Conchita’s Interview with Monsignor Francisco Garmendia, Auxiliary Bishop of New York on the date of this interview, here in New York on August 27, 1981.

What you are failing to understand is that when Jesus and Mary speak of "peace," they do not mean a universal peace among all men. Jesus explained that HIS PEACE is different from the earthly peace desired by worldlings:

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, do I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [John 14]

If you read the context around the above quote, you will understand that the peace that Jesus gives is given only to those who keep his commandments. Here is what he said just before the above quote:

21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them; he it is that loveth me. And he that loveth me, shall be loved of my Father: and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22 Judas saith to him, not the Iscariot: Lord, how is it, that thou wilt manifest thyself to us, and not to the world? 23 Jesus answered, and said to him: If any one love me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and will make our abode with him. 24 He that loveth me not, keepeth not my words. And the word which you have heard, is not mine; but the Father's who sent me. 25 These things have I spoken to you, abiding with you. 26 But the Paraclete, the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring all things to your mind, whatsoever I shall have said to you.
Get it? If you do not love Jesus (i.e., keep his commandments), you will not receive HIS PEACE, the peace of the Holy Ghost in your soul.

Here are Conchita's words from an interview in February 1977:

Question: At some point, you have said to Father Marcelino Andreu: "When the Warning, we will know that we enter the end of time." Can you explain to us what you wanted to say?

Answer: The Virgin told us that the Warning and the Miracle will be the last public warnings to be carried out by God. So I believe that at that time we will be at the end of times.

Question: Do you have any advice to give people about this event?

Answer: We must always be prepared, so that we have peace in our souls and that we do not get too attached to the things of this world. Instead, we must think that we are here on Earth so that we can go to heaven and be Saints.

Do you understand what kind of peace is being discussed here? It is not an earthly-political peace. It "peace in our souls" that the Period of Peace is talking about.
