You can't have authentic apparitions without drawing the devil's suspicions. It just goes with the territory.
I just watched this video which I think was very nicely done and at the very end of video the narrator suggests to go to Glenn Hudson’s Facebook page on Garabandal for more info.
Today in Garabandal history: DECEMBER 8, 1963: Awakened by a mysterious interior uneasiness, Conchita went to the church at around 5:30 a.m. with her mother. Before the church doors, she fell into ecstasy . . . The Blessed Virgin first "wished me a happy feast day," adding these profound words (almost identical to those said, in 1858, to Bernadette in Lourdes): "You will not be happy on Earth, but, yes, you will be in Heaven!" She also revealed to her other "future events" about which the visionary was told "not to make known" . . . Excerpt from the ‘'Garabandal'’ Book, by J. Serre, page 179
Today in Garabandal history, DECEMBER 8, 1964: CONCHITA'S NEW LOCUTION: SHE IS TOLD THAT ST. MICHAEL WILL COME AGAIN . . . "JUNE 18TH, 1965!" During a locution that occurred on this December 8, 1964, the Blessed Virgin of Mount Carmel revealed to Conchita that she would have a new apparition of the Archangel St. Michael, on next June 18, (1965). (He would then deliver for the world the second and ultimate Message of Garabandal.) The visionary widely circulated this information. Excerpt from 'Garabandal' Book, J. Serre, page 185
The WARNING IS IN THE SAME YEAR AS THE MIRACLE ! “ INTERVIEW WITH Mari Loli (Mazon Lafluer )“ July 27, 1975 “Needles” magazine, Autumn issue, pages 6 & 7 Q. You have said that you know the year of the Warning. Can you tell us if it will occur in the next few years or is it still in the distant future? A. No. I can't say anything. Q. Did the Blessed Mother tell you not to speak about the Warning? A. No, she didn't , but, because the Warning and the Miracle are within the same year, I feel it inside not to say anything. Q. How do you know the Warning and the Miracle are within the same year" A. During an apparition-I don't remember just when- the Blessed Virgin told me.
“ INTERVIEW WITH Mari Loli “ July 27, 1975 “Needles” magazine, Autumn issue, page 7 (More information on the Warning) Q. Reportedly, you have said that when the Warning occurs everything will stand still, even planes in the sky. Is this true? A. Yes, but just for a few moments. Q. You mean that everything will stop at a given moment and at that moment the Warning will occur? A. Yes. Q. When was this information revealed to you? A. During an apparition the Blessed Virgin told me all this. Q. Was all the information given you during one apparition, or did Our Lady tell you this over several apparitions? A. She told me all of this during one apparition. I don't remember now if she spoke about the Warning during any other apparition. Q. Do you know how long the Warning will last? A. Just a few minutes. Q. Are you afraid of the Warning? A. Yes. Like everyone else. I have faults, and the Warning will show me my faults and this makes me afraid.
Does one day before the miracle mean literally 1 day before the miracle or does it mean one day sometime before the miracle?
No because the 8 day notice would have already been given out by Conchita, and people would already have made plans to be there by then. It is NOT literally one day before.
MARY WILL GIVE TIME FOR THE MESSAGE TO BE SPREAD Fr. Laffineur asks : “Many believers in Garabandal want to work for the spread of the Virgin’s messages. But they are concerned because of the obedience that they owe to their bishops . . . What do you have to say about this? “ Conchita: “That’s very pleasing to the Virgin. She likes that very much. She desires us to work at spreading her message. But also she wants us to obey the Church, so as to give more glory to God. And she will give time for the message to be spread, with the permission of the Church. “ “ She Went In Haste To The Mountain” BOOK 3, Chapter 11, Page 194 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pope Paul VI : "Conchita, I, the Pope, bless you and with me the whole Church blesses you." “Message of Hope” Fr. Saavedra ,page 253 "It doesn't matter; tell these gentlemen that it is the Pope who has said that it is most important and most urgent to make these messages known to the world." “Message of Hope” Fr. Saavedra ,page 256
A Call to Repentance Reprinted with kind permission from St. Joseph Publications from the book She Went in Haste to the Mountain (Book 1) pg.180 Mary said : — You should avoid the wrath of the Good God. — I want to tell you to amend your lives. — You should sacrifice yourself more. — Think of the Passion of Jesus. We provoke the wrath of God upon ourselves by our own rebellion, our own disobedience, our own self-will. All evil consists in trying to follow our own ways, instead of seeking the ways of God. Our ways are very easy to follow; it suffices to allow ourselves to be led. But ours are ways of sin and they lead us to destruction. The Passion of Jesus! They are not interested in this. They are only interested in talking of things more to the liking of the man of today. "Enter by the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who enter that way. How small the gate and narrow the way that leads to life! And few there are who find it." (Matt. 7: 13-14)]
Today in Garabandal history : December 13, 1961, Conchita wrote in a letter to the pastor of Barro, Father José Ramón García de la Riva: “The day of the Immaculate Conception (Dec.8 ), the Virgin came to wish me good name day. ( happy feast day ) She had already said that she would come and when she came she was smiling and laughing a lot. The first thing she said was: "Happy name day”. José Ramón García de la Riva, Memoirs of a Spanish Country Priest, 1972, p. 145 Isn’t it wonderful to hear that the Blessed Mother “smiled and laughed a lot !
“Never think that what you are doing is great” Jesus to Conchita : February 13, 1966 “Love humility, simplicity. Never think that what you are doing is great.” Imagine you are Conchita for a minute. You’ve seen and talked to the Blessed Mother for 4 years! Talked to Jesus in Locutions, and are the main Visionary messenger for the Garabandal prophecies, and you are told by Jesus: “Never think that what you are doing is great”. Well that should be a lesson for all of us to strive for humility in all that we do in life.
Only the Girls could help each other in ecstasy “I remember once when Jacinta had tonsillitis and was in bed. It was raining, and she had gotten up that day, this was in the old house. I didn’t think she was going to have an Apparition but when I least expected it, she fell on her knees and had an Apparition. I stayed by the door without saying anything to her, and I thought, “you won’t leave through here.” I thought this because it was raining and she had tonsillitis, but I didn’t say it. I looked at her, thinking, as she was giving objects for the Virgin to kiss. Then, she grabbed my arm and went out very slowly, and I couldn’t resist. I don’t even know how she grabbed me. When she touched my arm, I felt something rigid that was neither hot nor cold. I took her jacket and said to her, “Oh, for goodness sakes! Put on your jacket.” I went to put the jacket on her, but she wouldn’t take it, she let it fall off. I ran and gave it to Loli, who was not in ecstasy and I said, “put it on her.” She put it on. There were things they could do for each other easily when one was in ecstasy and the other wasn’t. “ Once, Mari Loli was unscrewing a lit light bulb when she fell into ecstasy, she still had the light bulb in her hand, but didn´t burn herself. Jacinta went and removed her hand from the bulb. No one in the house could remove it and they were so worried that she was going to burn her hand, but nothing happened. Padre Pio’s letter confirmed by the Blessed Mother ! On February 9, 1975 the magazine known as “NEEDLES” (appeared in the Spring Issue 1975) had recorded an interview with Conchita, during which they asked her about this surprising letter from Padre Pio: Q. Conchita, do you remember anything about the letter? Conchita: “I remember that I received a letter in the mail that was addressed to me and the other three: Jacinta, Mari Loli, and Mari Cruz. They asked me what it was about, but since it was not signed, I kept it in my pocket until I saw the Blessed Virgin later that day. When she appeared I showed her the letter and I asked her who it was from. The Blessed Virgin told me that it was from Padre Pío. As I didn’t know who Padre Pío was, I didn’t ask any more questions. After the apparition, I told the people about the letter. A seminarian who was there explained to me who Padre Pio was and where he lived. So I wrote to him, saying that when he visited my country, I would like very much to see him. He answered me in a brief letter, saying: “do you think I can go up the chimney?” I was only 12 years old at the time, and I had no idea what a cloistered monastery was.”
Glenn, Regarding the sex of the “Young Martyr of the Eucharist that Conchita spoke about. Has Conchita stated just a young Martyr or has she nominated that it is a young boy/man, or has that just been speculation!
“The Miracle will be on the feast day of a young martyr of the Eucharist, a boy who carried Communion to persecuted Christians. “ She Went in Haste to the Mountain” Book 3,Chapter 7, pg 146
