Hi Carol55. Yes, "the chastisement is definitely coming." But you must understand, "the chastisement" is not for those people who heed the words of Our Lord and Our Lady. That is what the word "conditional" means. If you DO NOT heed the words of Our Lady, then you (individually) will experience "the Chastisement." If you DO heed the words of Our Lady, then you (individually) will experience either the "the Rest" or, alternatively, a kind of purification on this earth (like an earthly purgatory). Just as, in normal times, different people will go to Heaven or Purgatory or Hell, in the end times, different people will experience the "Rest/Marriage Supper" or the "Great Tribulation/Purification" or the "Chastisement/Wrath." It all depends of their individual's response to God's call to repentance at the Warning. And the "Chastisement" will definitely not be 30-40 years away. It will happen in the 2020s.

JOEY’S GREATEST BLESSING I was accompanying Joey Lomangino on a flight down to Alabama to appear again on EWTN’s Mother Angelica LIVE tv show in 1996. While on the flight down, we always had wonderful personal conversations. This one day, we were discussing how we originally met, and what a great blessing it was for me, and I asked him “ What was your greatest blessing ? “ Now I expected one of several answers, ( his family, his Apostolate work, Confession with Padre Pio, Padre Pio restoring his sense of smell, meeting and being friends with Conchita, etc. ) His answer shocked me ! He said while he had many blessings , “ Being blind “. I said “ really, how’s that ? “ He went on ” because if I never had been blind, I never would have been saved”. It was his blindness that led to his spiritual sight and salvation . Padre Pio told Joey “I can’t give him sight for his eyes, but I can give him sight for his soul.” Can any of us ( who are sighted now ,as he once was sighted as a boy ) endure that suffering of having lost our eyesight, consider it a "blessing " ? Wow, how insightful.
Hi Carol, I wouldn't worry too much about it, or the miracle, or the warning for that matter either. Not that these things aren't important, but Garabandal can have an adverse psychological effect on some people. The visionaries are all good examples for a healthy psychological approach to the messages as they have continued to lead ordinary lives. I believe only one, Conchita, knows the timeframe for the miracle, but the others just lived good humble lives. The same should be true of us, I wasted a lot of years "preparing" for events that have yet to take place, and even if they happen tomorrow, I shouldn't waste today, because if 20 years can go by, maybe another 20 will pass. I have seen so many people, even Priests, with something similar to scruples in these regards and it can lead to a pitfall of bad mental health. I do not know how much time we have, and I don't know the state of my soul, but I know that neglecting my daily life and responsibilities is only going to make things worse (speaking only of myself, no implication to others). I think the main thing is for those who are unaware of Garabandal, or who are just getting to know Our Lady for the first time, that the situation is serious, but if you already know that than walk in faith. Even the unbelievers sense the foreboding of something, but sometimes they are more practical in just carrying out their affairs. It's a thin line, the razors edge so to speak.

CONCHITAS MESSAGE TO GARABANDAL WORKERS OF IRELAND (1975) ( Presented by Joey Lomangino during his 1975 lecture tour) Dear People of Ireland : I know how hard you are working for Our Lady’s message, but what we do is never enough to make known and fulfill the wishes of Our Lady. Also I want to tell you that we do not have much time to make reparation for our sins and those of our brothers. But let us not forget that God and the Blessed Virgin are waiting for us every moment with Their pardon and Their love. Let us go often to the Blessed Sacrament. Prayer and penance are the most powerful weapons for all. Let us pray continuously and let us always be disposed to defend and honor the name of the Hearts of Jesus and Mary. SPIRITUAL CURRENCY While visiting Conchita on January 13,2021, we talked about a great many things, and in the course of talking about prayers she said something interesting that I have never heard of, or thought about. Each time we say the “ Hail Mary” we end the prayer by saying : “ Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death, Amen.” She said when we say that prayer slowly, we are asking Mary repeatedly to pray for us at the hour of our death, and it is like putting a coin in our “Spiritual bank”, which accumulates for that hour ! Wow! It never ceases to amaze me how she sees things through only “spiritual eyes”. Thank God we have such a wonderful example of humility and spiritual guidance.
…I always feel like I’m starting from scratch with my daily, imperfect prayers. After reading this, it’s nice to think that maybe I’m building up a little bit of spiritual coins in the bank when I’m doing my best at praying.
Today in Garabandal history: On December 6, 1962 Conchita had a 90 minute ecstasy around 5:30 in the afternoon after which, she provided two more pieces of information regarding the Miracle: 1) One day, before the Miracle, something will happen that will cause many people to stop believing in the apparitions of Garabandal. The doubts and desertions will not be due to an excessive delay of the Miracle. 2) On the day of the Miracle, the note that she was forced to sign in Santander (stating that the apparitions were not authentic) will disappear. “SHE WENT IN HASTE TO THE MOUNTAIN” Book 3 page 103 #2 * The Commission was so desperate to discredit the apparitions, and especially Conchita, that they actually removed Conchita from her home, brought her to another town, CUT MOST OF HER HAIR OFF, (because these “Doctors” thought her hair had magical powers ! What fools ! They had a priest ( Fr. Luis Gonzalez ) threaten her by saying: “If you persist in talking about apparitions, you will be disgraced. We will declare you crazy and lock you in a mad house. And your parents will go to jail.” Dr. Pinal ,the Commission appointed doctor ,and Dr. Morales, tried to “Hypnotize “ her ! They forced her to sign A BLANK PIECE OF PAPER ! (which the Commission conveniently filled in later,admitting to her guilt )This happen to a frightened 12 year old, separated from family or counsel. Can you imagine this happening in today’s age ? This outrageous behavior today would be called “Criminal Child abuse” !
