We all know about the special area of Garabandal called "The Pines". The 9 Pine trees where the Blessed Mother appeared, and foretold of the great Miracle that will take place there. Mary said "It will be the greatest miracle that my Son, Jesus, will have ever performed for mankind. The Virgin Mary referred to “the Pines“ : "God loves this place very much. This place is sacred."

In 1925, Serafín González, ( Conchita's Grandfather on her father's side,) was mayor of the San Sebastian de Garabandal, decided along with the Parish Priest, Don Ángel Cosío Vélez, that a plantation of pines trees should be carried out to commemorate the First Communion of the children of the place; the Priest blessed the New plantation, located on the village hill.

    Fr. Gustavo Morelos

Fr. Gustavo Morelos was a Mexican priest who passed away on March 7, 2015, at 87 years of age. He had heard of the news of what was taking place in San Sebastián de Garabandal in 1965, when the apparitions were in their final stages. He managed to spend nearly three months in Garabandal that very year, studying the phenomena and interviewing the girls, their parents and siblings, and several witnesses. He lived to see his nephew’s surprising recovery from an illness doctors considered hopeless He always attributed this healing to the Virgin of Garabandal. Since then and until his death, he worked to spread the messages of Garabandal. It is his conversations with Conchita that offered the clues as to the “ Miracle” being in the month of April.

    A beautiful Butterfly
    August 14,2022

Today I had the pleasure of a nice Sunday afternoon visit with Conchita and an unexpected little spiritual lesson arose from her thoughts. She had a clear glass vase, where she was telling me how she was observing the hatching of Butterfly worms.
She said (and I am paraphrasing some of this) “As I was looking at them, I was thinking how there are two lives in each cocoon, the worm and the Butterfly that eventually comes out of the cocoon. Much like ourselves, there are two lives in us. Our physical body and our Souls which are confined inside of our bodies, for a time, waiting to emerge, then we get to a point when our soul leaves our body and becomes like that beautiful Butterfly.
I am always amazed at how a truly holy person views even the simplest events or things in life, through "spiritual eyes". God bless Conchita.

Today in Garabandal History, August 15, 1961

There was a great deal of commotion during these vigils, the girls moving from one place to another in the village and in the neighborhood.
The vigil inaugurating the Feast of the Assumption on August 15, 1961, stands out among the most beautiful ones. It began at 2:45 a.m., when Conchita, Loli and Jacinta came out in ecstasy from Conchita's home.
For the first time, they sang Aves, a Noel as well, and a few "Mananitas" or short musical compositions. Then the Blessed Virgin brought them in front of the house of Mari-Cruz . . . prevented by her parents to follow the other visionaries who, once there, started an
improvised song or, more exactly, a sacred serenade!
That night, the candid hymns of the three children traveling through the dark lanes of the village, overjoyed in their ecstasy, symbolized the humble response of the earth to the songs of praise of the heavenly Court celebrating the Queen of angels and men. At about 4:15 a.m., always in ecstasy, they went to the church. The vigil came to an end at 5:00 a.m.
The sacred serenade sung for Mari-Cruz:

    Wake up, Mari-Cruz
    Do you not smell lilies
    The Virgin Mary brings you
To help you be very good?
    Wake up, Mari-Cruz,
She is coming, the kind Virgin
    With a basket of flowers
    For a little girl.
    Pick up the lilies
    That Mary brings you
    To help you be good.
    Good and holy little girl,
    You are very loving
But you do not get up.

“Between 8:00 or 9:00 the Virgin appeared to us, smiling very much as usual, and said to the four of us, “ Fr. Luis will come now and speak to you”

And after a while he came , and he called us one after the other. But we didn’t see him, we only heard his voice. It was exactly the same as when he spoke on Earth.

And after giving us advice ,he also told us something for his brother Fr. Ramon.

More importantly, he sent a consoling message through them to his elderly mother, for whom news of his early death had come as a great shock. ‘Be happy and content,’ he said, ‘for I am in Heaven and see you every day.’

He taught us words in French, and even to pray in Greek. He taught us words in German, and in English too. After a while, we didn’t hear his voice anymore. And the Virgin spoke to us and stayed for a moment and left.”

The following are Conchita‘s written messages taken from two letters from Conchita to youth groups from France, during their pilgrimage to Garabandal in 1970.

    Life of Virtue

    The Eucharist

    True happiness

    The Rosary

    Jesus’s passion

    Examination of conscience

    Look at Mary

"Be models for other young people"

"The Blessed Virgin wants you to help convert the world and, thereby, prevent the wrath of God over our sins.
She trusts in you; she trusts that your example and self-denial might make you models for other young people that haven’t received the graces that you have in hearing Our Lady’s messages."

"She asks you to have a spirit of penance, sacrifice and prayer. Without these weapons, we can do nothing."

    Visit the Blessed Sacrament frequently

"In the Blessed Sacrament you will find the strength to take on the life that the Virgin Mary is constantly asking of you. Make frequent visits to the Blessed Sacrament. Empty your hearts of earthly things that don't allow you to listen to God."

It comes from being with God

"The happiness which you have never felt is found only in the surrender to God and the Virgin Mary."

"Pray to her with faith and trust."

"Pray for one another, for yourselves, pray to Our Lady. Pray to her with faith and trust. She will give you everything that is good for you."

    Think of His Passion

"Let us all together think more about Jesus' passion, in order to forget about ourselves."

    God speaks to your soul

"You who listen to these words, listen to God who speaks within your soul, follow the voice of your conscience. Pause each day for just a few minutes to think about the bad you’ve done, the good you have failed to do and also the good you have done; ask forgiveness for the bad you've done and for the good that, through negligence, you failed to do and begin your Christian life again."

Would the Blessed Virgin do it?

"Pray before acting and ask yourself, beforehand, ‘Would the Virgin Mary do this? What would the Blessed Virgin do?’ It’s possible that at this moment, when you are about to do something bad, you change your mind."
Francis Vincent, Mario and Carol55 like this.

Today in Garabandal history, AUGUST 18, 1961:

"Prayer holds an important place in Garabandal. Magnificent, varied, profound, it runs through the "events" on the whole as never in any other great Marian Apparition . . . .

The girls devoted a great deal of their time to prayer. What is especially striking is the quality of their ecstatic prayer: a meditation filled with presence, moved to the extreme; a slow, poised recitation inspiring the full meaning of words as simple as "Mary," "blessed," "grace," "Jesus." " (Robert Francois Turner, 'I, Your Mother,' chapter 18).

The children spontaneously recited first the Rosary, then the Litanies, the Creed, the Our Father, the Salve Regina, in short what they knew. The Blessed Virgin had taught the visionaries all these prayers and, then, had gradually helped the girls to pronounce them clearly. So, on this August 18, the first thing Our Lady undertook was to recite the rosary with them: "I'll start the prayer and you will answer, very slowly," She suggested to the children.

The visionaries postures induced the crowds to be quiet and recollected. "They would fall on their knees in the tiniest fraction of a second, sometimes adopting an overwhelming attitude of petition, their faces turned to heaven" .

"To sing is to pray twice over" . . . The children improvised various hymns. From their songs there emanated a strange meekness and always a beautiful harmony.

The Blessed Virgin taught the girls to make correctly the various signs of the cross used in Spain. They made them with unmatched dignity. Many films testify to this.

On a day in September of 1963, some French people were invited to eat dinner with Conchita in a house near the girl's home. She was devouring pastries with the healthy appetite of girls of her age. Someone jokingly asked her about the sacrifices and penance mentioned in the message. Conchita accepted the joke in good humor and laughed. But suddenly she became quiet and seemed to concentrate; her face lit up; and with her hands joined on her chest, she began to speak:
“The Miracle will be on the feastday of a young martyr of the Eucharist, a boy who carried Communion to persecuted Christians. His companions, on seeing him pass by, wanted to force him to stay and take part in their games. Infuriated by his resistance, they ended up hurling stones at him until he was left almost dead. Later a Christian soldier came, who recognized him and carried him in his arms”.
One of those present exclaimed: Oh, that's St. Tarcisius!»
Conchita, without saying a word, as if she hadn't heard, turned back to her pastries.
After dinner ended and Conchita had left, those at the table exchanged their impressions. The oldest in the group concluded: It seems that Conchita saw this scene in an ecstasy, but without understanding what martyr it was. I don't think she even knows his name.

We're fortunate to have such an authority as yourself Glenn, on this.
I don't think this is by chance...
    Jesus places his soldiers strategically.
  14. Yes it is correct the miracle is on April 13th, I got this info from garabandal here is the link; Garabandal Great Miracle fact&rumor Last Update | Garabandal News (scroll down in the article) for anyone who is interested, Conchita told the French group in her kitchen that the feast day of the eucharist martyr of Garabandal is on April 13th. This means that the miracle is also on April 13th as the the miracle will be on the feast day of this eucharist martyr. I am inferring one from the other here. You can confirm with Conchita Glenn whether she said this or not seeing as you know her, I believe this source is credible and reliable and I am running with this.

    Utter nonsense.
  16. any name you wish

Aviso (who has stated his name before, if memory serves) admits freely that he was wrong about the date of the miracle and has stated that the upcoming date is his opinion.

Sigh, people will never learn. The date is hidden from us because God wants it that way. The miracle will happen in God's time, not ours... He will surprise us.
  18. why is it utter nonsense?
  19. Nope I prefer to believe Aviso's source, it is too credible and accurate to not be true.

I have had all these discussions over the last 30 YEARS with her already, she has NEVER said the actual date to anyone except at her meeting at the Vatican in 1966. Aviso has NO credibility or documentation, so the proof is on YOU to provide something concrete, not opinion, YOU WONT BECAUSE YOU HAVE NOTHING ! THERE'S NOT A SINGLE RECORDED STATEMENT IN ANY BOOK OR VIDEO THAT SAYS THIS ! Anyone with a brain would know that MIRACLE DATE information would have been disclosed already ,and shouted from every Garabandal site there is ! I'm done waiting time on ridiculous topic, believe what and who you want, I don't care.
