The Lieutenant Colonel that was a Priest Dr. Gonzalo de Federico, a military doctor, tells us about a conversation he had with the military chaplain, Lieutenant Colonel Fr. Isidoro, on the air base in Getafe, Spain, in the spring of 1970. Fr. Isidoro explained to Dr. Gonzalo how the girls in Garabandal discovered that he was a priest, despite the fact that he arrived when the ecstasy had already begun and that he was wearing his military uniform. "I arrived when the girls were in ecstasy and were already speaking with the apparition, surrounded by a great crowd… One of them said, ‘I have to kiss the hands of all the priests? Right away…’ And she did. When she finished, she spoke with the apparition again and we heard her say, ‘There is one more? I didn’t recognize him dressed that way.’ She came towards me and kissed my hand. “The only way to identify by the uniform which of the Armed Forces a person belonged to, especially while wearing a trench coat, was by the circular emblem on the cap was a different color for each branch: red for flight; blue for intendance; white for intervention; yellow for sanitary; cadmium red for juristic; black for aircraft engineers; and purple for ecclesiastic. How could a girl from a town in Cantabria know this if she had never seen a uniform in her life? I was amazed.”
THE MORNING OFFERING PRAYER Our Blessed Mother said in Garabandal on October 18th, 1961, "We must make many sacrifices, perform much penance, and visit the Blessed Sacrament frequently. But first, we must lead good lives. " In 1945 Jesus told Lucia, the seer of Fatima, "The sacrifice and penance I now seek and require is the fulfillment of your state in life and the observance of my laws." Whatever your state in life may be you can sanctify all your daily actions if upon arising you recite sincerely the morning offering prayer. Through the "Morning Offering of Reparation" every act you do becomes a sacrifice. The word "sacrifice" means to make "holy." Once you have made your morning offering you make "holy" every act you do throughout the day. Whatever trial God permits to pass your way during the day becomes a penance — whether it be work, bad weather, rebellious children, sickness in the family, tight economic conditions or misunderstandings by relatives or friends. All these sacrifices and penances obtain graces the Blessed Virgin needs for the conversion of sinners. Padre Pio said it best, "If you knew the value of suffering, you wouldn't give it up." “ O Jesus, through the Immaculate heart of Mary, and in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass being offered throughout the world, I offer you all my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day in reparation for the offenses committed against the Immaculate heart of Mary, for my sins, and the sins of the whole world. “ Use this Morning Offering Prayer to start your Lenten season !
On Saturday, March 3, 1962 A letter arrived in Garabandal addressed to all four visionaries. It was typewritten in Italian, and had an Italian stamp, but wasn't postmarked. Nor was it signed. Mary would later confirm to Conchita that it was in fact Padre Pio who sent the letter to them. The letter said: "My Dear Children, "At nine o'clock this morning the Holy Virgin told me to say to you: 'O Blessed young girls of San Sebastian de Garabandal! I promise you that I will be with you until the end of the centuries, and you will be with Me during the end of the world and later, united with Me in the Glory of Paradise.' Padre Pio continued: I am sending you a copy of the Holy Rosary of Fatima, which the Virgin told me to send you. The Rosary was composed by the Virgin and should be propagated for the salvation of sinners and preservation of humanity from the terrible punishments with which the good God is threatening it. I give you only one counsel: PRAY and get others to pray, because the world is at the beginning of perdition. They do not believe in you or in your conversations with the Lady in White. BUT THEY WILL BELIEVE YOU WHEN IT WILL BE TOO LATE" Below is the actual letter.
Patrick, here's my thoughts... I think that it would be a better use of our time to do as the Blessed Mother asked us to do, to Pray, amend our lives and to love one another as our Father loves us… It is human nature to try and guess the date and time of any future event…. However, as always, it could change based on our behaviors as determined by God The Father…
I agree it is human nature to be curious about the timeline. Not knowing it is probably better because we know to be constantly checking our soul, going to confession, mass and praying our rosary …..all of the time. Heaven has intentionally hid these dates from our view for a reason…probably for our own good. If it were beneficial to know, heaven would impart it to us via Our Lady….and Our Lady will tell us at heavens determined time. But yes, most of us are as curious as you. Scripture does tell us to look at the signs of the times, so many see “it” coming soon…IMO.
@Glenn do you or anyone else know what this Holy Rosary of Fatima composed by the Virgin Mary is or have a copy of it?
Padre Pio’s FATIMA ROSARY ROSARY OF THE VIRGIN OF FATIMA ———————- Pray and make others pray this rosary that has been dictated by the Virgin Mary in a personal message. ———————— It is prayed like the common rosary of the Virgin, only that the mysteries are replaced by the following: ———————— 1) In this first mystery we see how the Holy Virgin chose Fatima as her favorite city to spread her messages. 2) In this second mystery it is contemplated how the Holy Virgin chose the Cova de Iria for her visions. 3) In this third mystery we see how the Holy Virgin chose the three little shepherds for their celestial conversations and to entrust the great secret to them. 4) In this fourth mystery we see how the secret of Fatima is the greatest secret of all that she has said. 5) In this fifth mystery we can see how the visions of the Blessed Virgin continue to be present in all parts of the world.
The First Wedding Ring Kissed by Our Blessed Mother The first ring given to Our Lady to be kissed belonged to Maximina, Conchita’s Godmother and aunt. Jacinta went to Conchita’s house in ecstasy. Maximina was talking to Conchita and said, “Conchita, since our wedding rings are blessed, maybe Our Lady will kiss them. It just occurred to me. Give this to Jacinta so she can give it to Our Lady and we’ll see if she kisses it.” Conchita said to Jacinta, “Jacinta, take this ring. Present it to Our Lady to see if she will kiss it.” Jacinta didn’t know whose ring it was. Jacinta said to the Blessed Mother: “Take this ring, kiss it… Oh, this is Maximina’s wedding ring? Well, here, kiss it!” Our Blessed Mother kissed the wedding ring and then Jacinta went over to Maximina, took her hand, and put her ring on her finger. This was the first time the girls called the wedding rings ‘alianzas’ (which in Spanish means covenant, as they are a sign of the promises made) and the first time they looked for the owner to put it back on his/her finger. Later they gave many more wedding rings to Our Lady—that same day they gave several to be kissed.
My latest interview 3-4-22, with Carol Kelso called "Update on Garabandal, Giving us Hope for the Future!" (Sorry I set up the camera alittle too close for my liking ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hd8ci1X1vis
A Doctor’s experience ( Testing Mari Loli & Jacinta in ecstasy) August 1961. Dr. Felix Gallego and his wife Josefa test the 2 girls. "My husband approached the kneeling girls, grabbed Loli under her arms, and attempted to lift her. It was impossible to even budge her. She appeared welded to the floor, more like a block of stone than a little girl. The he tried to tip her over, pulling her to the \side, and again could not move her. He tried several times with no results. He couldn’t even move her enough to pass a piece of paper between her knees and the floor. " “ He then tried the same test on Jacinta with the same results. My Husband is a strong man, and it’s unbelievable that he couldn’t move two small 12 year old girls, they appeared to weigh tons.” “GARABANDAL JOURNAL” – MAY-JUNE 2005
Alberto's "alpargatas" It all that happened during the ecstasies, one of the things that caught the attention of the villagers the most was how quickly the girls would run when they were in ecstasy. When they were out of ecstasy, they ran normally like any mountain girls would run, girls that were used to working hard, but they didn't run any faster than all the rest. However, when they were in ecstasy, they ran incredibly fast. They seemed to be taking normal steps, without running in any exaggerated manner. They didn't fly either, because their feet were touching the ground. Whoever tried to follow their pace found it to be impossible; not even the youngest, fittest boys in the whole village were able to keep up with them. When they were finally able to catch up, the girls were as if they'd made no effort whatsoever, while everyone else was sweating and out of breath. If that weren’t enough, as the girls were running, they didn't even look at the ground, which was all stones and mud, uneven and full of things to trip on. Their head was always looking up towards the vision. Alberto Mazón was a young man at the summit of his physical strength. He was famous for being the fastest runner in the village. When the neighbors in the other shelters went down to the village to buy bread, salted sardines, or other non-perishable goods, they came back up talking about how fast the girls would run, and how nobody was able to keep up with them. Alberto found that odd, and one day he said to his wife “Manolita, get my ‘alpargatas’ together; tonight I'm going to run alongside the girls.” Alpargatas are a type of shoe, with a sole made of esparto grass that was typical during the summer in Garabandal. Normally in Garabandal, everyone would use clogs - a rustic wooden shoe that protected from the cold and the mud - but to able to run, the "alpargatas" were the best thing to wear. That night, the girls had already received two interior calls from the Blessed Virgin. At any moment, they would leave their houses in ecstasy. With his "alpargatas" well tied, Alberto was waiting outside Loli's house ready to get running. When Loli's father, Ceferino, saw him he said, “Make sure your ‘alpargatas’ are well tied because you're going to need them.” Alberto replied very full of himself, “What for?” Ceferino said jokingly, “Because you're going to lose.” “We'll see about that,” replied Alberto. Their conversation was interrupted by the sound of the girls leaving their houses. Alberto took off running as fast as he could, but he had only reached Rosarito's house (about 20 feet from Ceferino's) when he lost sight of the girl, who was already passing by Avelina’s house on the outskirts of the village, close to the sight where the visible Communion took place. Since Alberto had an upright and noble heart, he had no problem in recognizing that he had lost. What was very clear to him afterwards was that once the girls had entered into ecstasy their bodies were capable of more than what was normal for the human nature. This didn't happen just once or twice, but during every apparition. As the villagers say, “Miracles? We saw pure miracles every single night.”
Hi Glenn, excellent information, especially for the new-comer's to the site! I do have to ask though, you mention towards the end of the video of a "tw0-stage" miracle... I'd like for you to expound on it for us... As always, thank you! Frank
Glad to Frank. There will be an "initial" miracle for about 15 minutes, then a second permanent sign will be left at the Pines for eternity.
ANICETA GONZALES (CONCHITA’S MOTHER) 1971 INTERVIEW She died on March 7,1990 Aniceta, Conchita’smother, was sixty-two years old at the time of this interview in 1971. She took care of the home and worked in the fields. She died on March 7,1990. Number of Ecstasies : I only missed two of Conchita’s ecstasies. The first time was because a lady said she felt sick and I brought her in and gave her some tea (then she felt better than I did). The other time was because a truck went over the cliff [and everyone went to see it]. I saw all the other ones. I wouldn’t miss them for anything. Conchita did not always have her ecstasies in the same place. She had her calls and fell into ecstasy mostly at home and from there she went to the pine trees, to the cemetery, to the streets, through town, to the church mostly at two, three, four or five in the morning. After the message she had perhaps one to four per week. Appearance of Their Faces : Simply beautiful, peaceful faces without fatigue or weariness; the girls were left with only one thing: happiness. When they ran all over the hill, Conchita would come home fresh while the young men from the village who were running after the girls came home short of breath, soaking wet and exhausted. Conchita looked at them and laughed; her pulse was normal. I never heard her say anything [in ecstasy] as I was always some distance behind her. In addition to Conchita, the other three girls also came to my house, mostly at the beginning, not so much later. Proofs :The four girls were in their own homes and would leave at the same moment and meet for their ecstasies in the same place. I witnessed this and when they got there Conchita told the Virgin, “My mother is very ugly and black, and her hair is turning white.” Some priests present said, “Turning white, no,” but I did have some white hairs. Synchronization of Movements: As the Virgin was about to leave, Conchita said, “But you have been here less than a minute!” and the Virgin answered, “An hour.” And Conchita said, “Already an hour?” Of the other three girls, Mari Cruz was highest up the hill with Conchita somewhat lower and the other two further down. They were speaking in a low voice and we couldn’t hear them, but they could be heard repeating exactly at the same time, “An hour?” A priest checked his watch and said, “Exactly an hour!” Ecstatic Falls: I don’t know about the other girls, but as far as Conchita goes, I have seen her fall a thousand times. Once she was sitting on the stove ledge (the hearth is raised above the floor some 60 centimeters) when she went into ecstasy and fell to the floor on her knees. There was a loud thud as bone hit the stone floor but as usual, when she came out of the trance, there wasn’t even a scratch. Blessed Objects :I saw Conchita carrying big piles of religious objects to be kissed by the Virgin, and then, in ecstasy and without looking, return them to their rightful owners. One time, as she was walking in ecstasy, a lady slipped a wedding ring into her pocket without her knowing it. Awhile later she said to the Virgin, “Ah, I have a wedding ring in my pocket? No I don’t.” But it appeared that the Virgin insisted, and Conchita put her hand in her pocket, found the wedding ring, and offered it to the Virgin to kiss. She turned around and gave it to a gentleman that was apparently a teacher from Bilbao. [As a proof to see if the girl would return the object to the right owner, often another person would give it to the visionary.] Cases like this happened by the hundreds. SAINT MADRE MARAVILLAS OF JESUS, O.C.D. (1891-1974) was canonized by Pope John Paul II in Madrid 2003. St. Maria Maravillas of Jesus This extraordinary Carmelite nun, who was beatified in 1998, less than 25 years after she died, founded the "Association of St. Teresa," with the purpose of restoring the rule of life of the original Constitutions of 1581, rigorously established by Teresa of Avila one year before her own death. Mother Maravillas "knew" that Garabandal was authentic. She even clearly shared her conviction with her spiritual daughters, assuring them that "the phenomena occurring at San Sebastian de Garabandal come from God!" In an unusual side note. St. Maravillas warned Bishop Puchol Montis on April 25, 1967 (one of the former Bishops of Santander ) that he would have a sudden death. Bishop Montis seems to have opposed the events of Garabandal irresponsibly in her opinion. Monsignor Vincente Puchol Montis, reports in his Note of March 17, 1967, that 1) There was no apparition, neither of the Blessed Virgin, nor of the Archangel, nor of any other person from Heaven. 2) There was no Message. 3) All the events that occurred (at San Sebastian de Garabandal) have a natural explanation . . ." On March 19, the Spanish Television made this Note public. He died as a result of an automobile accident on May 8, 1967. Now there is some very interesting "coincidences" relating to the Bishop's death. After his written letter of March 17,1967 trying to discredit the apparitions and messages, he is warned by Mother Maravillas. He refuses to change his stance on Garabandal. He is told of his future death on April 25th, and dies on May 8th, ( THE FIRST FEAST DAY OF ST. MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL,Who started the apparitions at Garabandal ! ) Not only that but when found dead in the car, his hands are " blackened " ,but there is no fire ???? Draw your own conclusions.
