Lets look at all the dates pertaining to Joey's life ask yourself are they significant ? FIRST. October 5 . Born on the FEAST DAY OF ST. FAUSTINA (who saw the upcoming Warning ) SECOND. June 27. After his accident that left him blind, on FEAST OF OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP ! THIRD. July 16. He woke up on THE FEAST OF OUR LADY OF MT. CARMEL ! FOURTH, Dec. 8th Joey was married on , THE FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION, FIFTH, He died on June 18th the DOUBLE ANNIVERSARY OF THE FIRST APPEARANCE OF ST.MICHAEL AT GARABANDAL, AND THE LAST MESSAGE FROM MARY AT GARABANDAL. Hmmmm, I think I see a pattern here .
GARABANDAL CONFERENCE IN TORONTO 11-9-96 WITH JOEY LOMANGINO AND JACINTA MOYNIHAN. I thought it would be a wonderful for those of you who have never heard Joey speak about his life, accident, conversion, meeting Padre Pio, trips to Garabandal, and the Warning and Miracle. I was blessed to accompany Joey and Marilyn Lomangino to Toronto for this Garabandal conference , organized by Dr. Michael Rozeluk and his wife Helen, who run the Canadian Garabandal site ( ourlady.ca ) At about the 51:25 mark of this home made video, and the end of Joey’s talk, you can see people lined up to meet Jacinta and venerate the crucifix our Blessed Mother kissed. Glenn, I looked up Ezkioga the other day and saw that the first apparition was on June 29, 1931 (feast day of St Paul & Peter). It occurred to me that this month of June, we celebrate 60 years of Garabandal, 40 years of Medjugorje and 90 years of Ezkioga. They are all even numbers and perhaps significant? I was meditating on this at mass yesterday just for a moment and got an inspiration: at the time of the Annunciation, the Virgin was told that her cousin Elizabeth was already 6 months pregnant with St John, the precursor to Christ. So perhaps the time between various apparitions is somehow related to the difference in time between the conception, birth and missions of St John and Christ? I don't know how it would make sense, it's just an inspiration, but as it came to me at Mass on June 18th I wanted to share it.
THIS DAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY : JUNE 19 JUNE 19, 1961 The next day the young girls went back to at the same time, and the same spot to wait for the angel. in the calleja, but he did not show up. Sorry to be so ignorant, but someone posted on this forum that in 2003 Maria Esperanza said the Miracle will occur within 10 to 20 years, i.e., 2013-2023. Has that statement actually been attributed to her?
Was Maria Esperanza one of the Garabandal seers? It appears she's not (unless she married and changed her name) and if she's not, then what good is that statement even if she did actually say it? Whew. Garabandal speculation is confusing enough to me without throwing in other self-identified "visionaries".
Maria Esperanza is not one of the seers of Garabandal, but a mystic in her own right. If she did say that, then I for one would pay attention to what she says, but I’ve never heard that before. Would love to know if this statement attributed to her can be confirmed.
She is not a Garabandal seer, and I prefer to keep this page just for Garabandal information,so if you wish to follow up on that quote ,please start another thread,in a different forum. Thank you.
THIS DAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY June 20,1962 - This is the second night in a row that the girls experience the foreshadowing of the future possible “ Chastisement”. They all raise their hands as to push away the vision. The terror is so great, they are heard to say “ Oh please let the children die before this happens”. This event so terrifies the entire village, that the entire village goes to confession and communion the next day !

THIS DAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY JUNE 21, 1961 The day starts out with the entire village going to confession and communion , from the previous evenings “night of screams” visions of the Chastisement. This is the second appearance of St. Michael , and the first ecstasy observed by witnesses. The girls describe him in detail. From the book The Village Speaks - “ In the afternoon, the angel appears at the “calleja”…He wears a long blue robe, without a belt, and has large pink wings, clear and beautiful. His face is neither long nor round. He has a very nice nose, black eyes and a dark complexion. His hands are very delicate and his nails are cut. His feet are not visible. He appears to be about nine years old. Although he looks so young, he gives the impression of invincible strength.
THIS DAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY :WEDNESDAY, JUNE 21, 1961: VISION OF A MOST ASTONISHING "CUADRO LUMINOSO" On that day, the children had a very mysterious vision. "It is something like a red light or fire, that forms a frame inside of which there is a triangle, an eye and a notice. Letters also are written, unknown, in an Eastern or Arabic style, as it were. . ." (Cuarderno major of the Fathers Luis and Ramon Maria Andreu, S.J., pp. 12 and 13). "Yahweh," the Name of God par excellence, such is certainly the translation of the inscription that was incomprehensible to the girls and which they saw inside the triangle. We are now before the third visible manifestation of the Glory of God: the revelation of His Name. This vision was unique in the history of the great Marian apparitions, even in the history of Christian spirituality and hagiography. Characteristic of a non-anthropomorphic theophany, it refers us back to the event of the Burning Bush, to the revelation of the Judeo-Christian God, One and Triune. "Blessed are the pure in heart: they shall see God" (Matt 5:8) . . . How, on this 21st of June, not point out also the connection between the children and the liturgical Feast of the Patron Saint of youth celebrated on that day: St Aloysius Gonzaga, honored precisely for his total purity of heart? THIS DAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY JUNE 22, 1961 At approximately 8:30pm in the “calleja”, in the presence of Fr. Valentin Marichalar, who is the Pastor of Cosio (a neighboring town to Garabandal) , the four girls fall into ecstasy and see the angel again. The first medical tests determine that the children while in trance are insensitive to pain ! The “Commission “ doctors ,in trying to discredit the girls claim of being in the presence of our Lady (while in ecstasy ) , put the girls through a number of seemly torturous tests,yet they were unharmed . For example , when pinching and poking the girls got no reaction, they resorted to sticking them with pins and needles, trying to see if a lighted match would burn them, throwing sand in their eyes ,to try and make them blink or react. Flashing camera bulbs in their eyes to try and make them blink, or trying to pick them up and drop them on their knees, but 2 men couldn’t pick them up. These events only convinced the onlookers and the Doctors, of the apparitions authenticity !
THIS DAY IN GARABANDAL HISTORY JUNE 22, 1962 St. Michael announces to Conchita the miracle of the Visible Communion. (later to become known as the “ Little Miracle “, when it will appear on her tongue out of thin air. ) The date will be announced 15 days in advance. Conchita considers this a small miracle. ( Later on July 3rd she announces the 15 day advanced notice to the public of the upcoming miracle. )
