    MARTHE ROBIN (MARCH 13, 1902 - FEBRUARY 6, 1981)
    & Garabandal
“ Keep working for Garabandal without fearing what you have to suffer. Tell the 4 girls that I pray for them everyday”- Marthe Robin

At the origin of the Foundation of the Homes of Charity, Marthe was chosen by the Lord to live His Passion "the most completely after My Mother," He revealed to her in 1933 . . . He even added, "no one in the Church will ever have lived IT as completely as you will!"
Paralyzed since the age of twenty-seven, and also stigmatized, Marthe Robin would spend some fifty years of her life without sleep or food, nourishing herself uniquely with the Eucharistic Bread.
When Fr. Laffineur, O.P. died in November 1970, he had left behind him his plan for the diffusion of the Message of Garabandal in a difficult situation. His close collaborator Fr. Combe decided to ask Marthe, whom he knew well, for her advice. The famous woman mystic welcomed him in the first months of 1971, in her house of La Plaine . . . Here is the account of her meeting as reported by Fr. Combe himself:
    ". . . Myself: "Dear Sister Marthe, as you know, I care about Garabandal . . ."
    Marthe: "Yes, Father . . ."
Myself: "I was helping Fr. Laffineur . . . He died last November. And all that has followed . . ."
    Marthe: "Yes, the critics . . ."
Myself: "I see that you know. So I come to ask for your advice. To me, the situation appears to be so difficult that from now on I would like to take care of only my parish of Chazay d'Azergues. I have already enough work in this ministry . . ."
Marthe: (in a firm and almost cutting voice): "That's it, Father . . . You want to let everything go! . . ."
Myself (I received the blow right through the heart and waited for the rest . . .)
Marthe: "Aye! What must we do, Father, when we have received graces?"
Myself: "I understand, Sister Marthe . . . I must then take up again the spreading of the Message of Garabandal? But, by doing so, I will receive blows from all sides, from the 'critics,' from the
priests, the vicar-generals, and even blows from the shepherd's crook of Bishops . . ."
Marthe: "Ah well! You will offer them to God. There, father, give me some news of the "children" of Garabandal . . ."

This I did. Marthe listened, sometimes asking for details . . . Finally:
Marthe: "Tell the four girls that I pray for them every day!"
The limited time allotted to me for our interview was drawing to an end. Then Marthe asked me: "Would you like us to say an Our Father and a Hail Mary together?" - "Yes, Marthe. For the girls of Garabandal and their Bishop, for yourself and for the Houses of Charity and also for the blows dealt to us with a stick! . . ."
After our prayer, I said: "Marthe, would you accept to have my Guardian Angel invite yours every day to take part in my Mass!" - "Oh! Yes, Father; they will pray together." And our conversation ended as usual with my blessing given with deep emotion.
My heart was freed and determined; I came down from Marthe's room to the chapel of the Home of Charity. On my knees before the Lord Jesus, I gave thanks for the light received. Then, turning to the Blessed Virgin, I said to her: "Most Blessed Virgin, I understand very well . . . You want this . . . I will therefore take up again my pilgrim's staff . . . I am ready to walk for you to the end of the world" . . .
Later, I saw Marthe Robin again. Every time, we spoke of Garabandal. She was interested in making known the Message; she loved to receive news from me about the four children, about their families and . . . especially about the Bishop of Santander . . .
Another of Marthe Robin's testimonies on Garabandal is the one she gave to Msgr. J. Bretault (Founder and first Bishop of the Diocese of Koudougou). One day, I took him to Chateauneuf-de-Galaure, which he liked so much. Before dropping him off, I asked him to remember me to Marthe and to ask her for a little word for me. The little word was a long report he wrote out immediately with tears of joy before the Blessed Sacrament . . . Msgr. J. Bretault had been overwhelmed by all the information Marthe knew about the difficulties in spreading the news about Garabandal in France after the death of Fr. Laffineur. She asked him to transmit a few details and some advice . . . that were very useful and effective for me."
    [From 'Garabandal' Book,J.Serre pages 228-229]

Another great future Saint involved with Garabandal, Marthe Robin's cause for beatification was introduced in Rome in 1984. Pope Francis declared her “ Venerable “ on Nov. 8,2014.The recognition of a person as “venerable” is one step in the process leading to canonization.

    ARE YOUR HANDS EMPTY ?
    The Last Apparition at Garabandal
November 13, 1965, was a day mixed with joy and sadness for Conchita. The Virgin appeared with her Child to the teenager but it was to be for the last time at Garabandal.

"Talk to me, Conchita, talk to me about my children. I hold them all beneath my mantle. This will be the last time you will see me here but I shall always be with you and with all my children. Conchita, why don't you go and visit my Son in the tabernacle? He waits for you night and day."

Conchita said to the Virgin, "I am so happy when I see both of you. Why don't you take me now to heaven with you?" She replied, "Remember what I told you on your patronal feast day? " When you present yourself before God, your hands must be filled with good deeds done for your brothers and for His glory. At the present time, your hands are empty."
Mary said “ Conchita, I am not coming only for you but I am coming for all my children, with a desire to see them closer to our hearts”.

Glenn I’ve been thinking about the martyr of the Eucharist St Tarcisius. In Spanish St Tarciso is not a difficult name to pronounce. Conchita mentioned that the name of the martyr was not easy to say in Spanish. Also, is it possible Conchita may have described the martyr St Tarcisius in order to side track from the real martyr? Maybe she believed many were getting too close to the mystery. After all Our Lady wished it should stay a mystery until Conchita announces it. Conchita would just be abiding by her wish.

These quotes you posted here Glenn are some of the best evidence of the authenticity of the the Garabandal apparitions.
I really can’t believe that they would make these statements if they did not truly believe that Garabandal was valid. I hope we are close to the true revelation of the messages. Our world needs a reset from heaven, not from the anti God globalist that are currently and rapidly stripping faith in God from this earth. I think we are in for a heavenly reawakening...at least that’s my hope.
As Conchita is aging and the messages will occur in her lifetime, the window is closing in on the events foretold at Garabandal. I pray that all of our souls are prepared to recon with the revelation of our own souls. Trying to contemplate these events bring great anticipation and and trepidation. Personally, I am eternally grateful for having the knowledge of Garabandal and the faith to believe in its messages. We can’t say that heaven didn’t warn us, because our mother in heaven, like all good mothers, has called us to holiness knowing full well that our life is a constant struggle .
Garabandal gives us hope that Our Lady knows our struggles and shows us She is always there to guide us on the path to heaven .....
Maybe I’m too optimistic about future events and wish they would occurred soon, but even if these events are not pleasant, allowing the world to continue on as it currently is, is a dread worse that anything that the heavens remedy may be. It’s needed soon. I hope heaven intervenes to open the eyes of this fallen world....before more lose their immortal souls. We need a great reset now....from heaven.

Thank you for your perseverance in sharing the messages/ information on this forum. It’s worth all of the effort and time you take to awaken us all. ...while there is still time.

SAINT (POPE) PAUL VI : QUOTES ON GARABANDAL
After meeting Conchita in Jan.1966 he said:
“Conchita, I bless you and with me the whole church will bless you “.

Pope Paul VI had shown a very special interest in the apparitions. At an audience given to Fr. Xavier Escalda, S.J., the latter mentioned there were many opponents of the apparitions even amongst his own people. His Holiness promptly rejoined:
"It doesn't matter; tell these gentlemen that it is the Pope who has said that it is most important and most urgent to make these messages known to the world."

Father Escalada explained his work in spreading the message of Garabandal in Mexico and the Pope Paul VI encouraged him to continue saying: "These messages must be made known." Father Escalada asked the Pope for his permission to continue promoting Garabandal and the Pope said “YES”. Pope Paul VI said :
"It is the most beautiful story of humanity since the days of Christ. It is like a second life of the Virgin on earth. And we can never be grateful enough for it."

To Visionary Jacinta Gonzalez: "Jacinta, I am with you, but we have to pray much and have much patience . . : it. is necessary to pray that the Church will become aware of the importance of Garabandal."

Miracle after the Warning ,3 weeks or 3 months?
(email sent from Tom Fahy to Glenn Hudson)

    Dear Glenn,
In the late 1980´s or early 1990´s, two Priests, whom I knew personally at that time, visited Mari Loli in Massachusetts. On their return one of the Priests told me that Mari Loli disclosed to them, when they were leaving, that the Warning would be in an even-numbered year.
Several years later I asked the same Priest if Mari Loli said even numbered year. He said, "Yes". I have also read about or heard the same from other sources, which I do not recall now.
In another situation, I was told by a man in Massachussets, who knows the Pastor of the Church that Mari Loli attended, that Mari Loli was speaking to her Pastor in Massachusetts one day, after he came to know about her relation with Garabandal, and told him that she could not remember
whether the Blessed Virgin told her that it was 3 weeks or 3 months that the Warning would precede the Miracle. That would confirm that the Warning and Miracle are in the same year, as she said in her July 27, 1975 publicized interview. I take the same year to be the same calendar year.
    Fiat,
    Thomas Fahy
    3-20-15

YES. Actually, I heard this from the Priest who was with Fr. Gustavo. I have not been in contact with either of them for several years now.

Fahy was the author of “Suddenly & Unexpectedly” The end of our Times.

PADRE PIO'S BELIEF IN GARABANDAL :
Joey Lomangino’s recall of the when he talked to Padre Pio: “We made arrangements to come back again that same day and greeted Padre Pio in the cloister. When we knelt down, we said to him, “Padre Pio, is it true that the Virgin is appearing to the four girls of Garabandal?” And he said, “Yes.” We said, “Padre Pio, should we go there? He said, “Yes, why not?” And that’s how it happened. Because I received the assurance from Padre Pio that the Virgin was appearing and that he permitted me to go, then I wasn’t afraid and I went. “

Saint (Padre) Pio affirms Garabandal to a PH.D in confession.
Joachim Bouflet,PH.D. went to Padre Pio for confession in July of 1968. Padre Pio told him "Pray to the Madonna. Consecrate yourself to the Virgin of Carmel." "Yes, Padre, I pray to Our Lady of Mount Carmel. For that matter, I would like to become a Carmelite." He didn't comment on this but repeated with insistence, "Consecrate yourself to the Virgin of Carmel who appeared at Garabandal."
    Bouflet:"So it's true?"
Padre Pio : "Certo e vero!" ("Yes, it's true!")

“While he was living, the same Padre Pio guaranteed the authenticity of the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin. He met Conchita at San Giovanni Rotondo. Even during the last days of his life he talked about this to his brothers in religious life and left a personal message for the principle personage of the apparitions. “Fr. Pelletier -“Our Lady comes to Garabandal” page 219

From the book “The Final Hour “ page 141
On the topic of Padre Pio ‘s belief in Garabandal:
“Asked on another occasion about its authenticity, he answered curtly,
How many times must she appear there to be believed ? “

From the book “Thunder of Justice “ page 163
: An incident which confirms Padre Pio’s belief in Garabandal occurred early in 1966. Conchita, who was only 16 years old, was visiting Rome with her mother and Fr. Luna. She had been invited by Cardinal Ottaviani, Prefect of the Sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith. During the visit, Conchita met privately with Padre Pio. On this occasion, he took Conchita’s hand and her crucifix that Our Lady had kissed in Garabandal and held them both in his own two hands. The crucifix had passed through the hands of the child Jesus, during the apparition of November 13,1965.

Upon Padre Pio’s death in 1968 ,his close friend Father Bernardino Cennamo, was instructed to give Conchita several of his personal items. The priest gave Conchita one of the three veils that covered Padre Pio's face during his wake, saying that the stigmatist had requested this before he died. Conchita also was given Padre Pio's rosary, and one of the gloves he wore, stained by his stigmata.
Conchita recounts: “I had the veil in front of me, as I was writing later that evening. When suddenly the whole room became filled with fragrance, the perfume so strong I started to cry.”

The Emotion of Padre Pio about Conchita and his own words : Poor Conchita as she has suffers ... Loving the Blessed Virgin Mary with all his heart, belong to Her and working for Her, Our Lady of Garabandal, She is the one who has set her foot on the Mountain ... She is the Star on the Mountain (Father Laffineur has used Padre Pio words to call his own book “She is the Star on the Mountain) ...Padre Pio also added, We must support the seers of Garabandal……
March 3, 1962 ( Padre Pio wrote the girls a letter
    "My Dear Children,
"At nine o'clock this morning the Holy Virgin told me to say to you: 'O Blessed young girls of San Sebastian de Garabandal! I promise you that I will be with you until the end of the centuries, and you will be with Me during the end of the world and later, united with Me in the Glory of Paradise.'
    Padre Pio continued:
I am sending you a copy of the Holy Rosary of Fatima, which the Virgin told me to send you. The Rosary was composed by the Virgin and should be propagated for the salvation of sinners and preservation of humanity from the terrible punishments with which the good God is threatening it. I give you only one counsel: PRAY and get others to pray, because the world is at the beginning of perdition.
They do not believe in you or in your conversations with the Lady in White. BUT THEY WILL BELIEVE YOU WHEN IT WILL BE TOO LATE"

Padre Pio's visit to Garabandal in bilocation!
Conchita had written to Padre Pio requesting his advice on various subjects that concerned her, and before the letter had time to reach San Giovanni Rotondo, a group of Padre Pio's spiritual children composed of five Italians, one Frenchman, one Canadian, one Filipino and a Belgian priest, visit her in Garabandal, announcing to her the visit of Padre Pio to respond directly to her questions.
Then, on October 10, 1967, through a phenomenon of bilocation (the capacity of one person to be present in two places at the same time), Padre Pio's visit to Conchita took place at her house, where he was about an hour . She can see his figure, unmistakable habit, hear his voice, kiss his hands and notice the penetrating and characteristic perfume that comes out of his wounds.
During his visit, he said among other things that he had been in Garabandal four times and, as proof of the authenticity of his presence, he writes in a letter in Aramaic the phrase "in union of prayers" and signed P Pio.
Note: It must be reported that Padre Pio never left during his entire religious life, from the Convent in San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy. His visit to Garabandal only happened by the process of bilocation that only happen to some saints. 10-10-67

Today in Garabandal History MARCH 25, 1962:
    AN OUTSTANDING "FEAST OF THE
    ANNUNCIATION" AT GARABANDAL

A sheer wonder as well was this Feast of the "Annunciation" (or "Incarnacion del Senor," as it is still called, and rightly so, in Spain) in the little village of San Sebastian de Garabandal.
From 9:30 p.m. until midnight, Conchita, Mari-Loli and Jacinta, in ecstasy, sang the entire Rosary for the first time! They added several verses, that the Blessed Virgin inspired them to sing, to the traditional announcements of the different mysteries, including several short stanzas from the Ave Maria of Fatima. Always in ecstasy, the girls invited the people to join them in their singing. They rejoiced over the number of people accompanying them, and exclaimed:
"Ah, how happy the Blessed Virgin is! How she is smiling, and how she is looking at all of us!"
The stanzas 3, 4, 5 and 6 were taken, as we said, from the Ave Maria of Fatima.
The "three times" to which the children refer in the seventh stanza were obviously corresponding to the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Lourdes, at Fatima and at Garabandal. By virtue of the traits and accent proper to each of these "Three greatest public Marian apparitions," we can already observe how Lourdes is related to the Joyful Mysteries, Fatima to the Sorrowful Mysteries, and Garabandal to the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary. A truly admirable "spiritual logic"!
Translation of a few stanzas sung by the visionaries in ecstasy:
    O MOST BLESSED MARY,
    FLOWERS, WE BRING YOU,
    THE HOLY ROSARY,
    TO YOU WE OFFER.
(AVE MARIA, AVE MARIA, ETC . . .)
    O BLESSED MARY,
YOUR EYES ARE NOW FIXED . . .
    ON EACH AND EVERY HEART
    OF THIS HUMAN WORLD.
(AVE MARIA, AVE MARIA, ETC . . .)
    THE FASHIONS BEAR US
    TO THE FIRES OF HELL.
    SO, MODESTY DRESS
IF YOU WISH TO BE SAVED.
(AVE MARIA, AVE MARIA, ETC . . .)
    YOU MUST DO PENANCE,
    AND YOU MUST ALSO PRAY,
    FOR ALL SINNERS
    PRAY FOR FORGIVENESS.
(AVE MARIA, AVE MARIA, ETC . . .)
    ON THE THIRTEENTH OF MAY
    THE VIRGIN MARY
    CAME DOWN FROM THE HEAVENS
    TO THE COVA DA IRIA.
(AVE MARIA, AVE MARIA, ETC . . .)
    MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN
    NOW YOU KNOW OUR MESSAGES;
THE VIRGIN MARY WANTS THEM ALL DONE
FOR THE GOOD OF ALL HOMES.
(AVE MARIA, AVE MARIA, ETC . . .)
    THE VIRGIN HAS WARNED US:
WITH THIS TIME, IT MAKES THREE.
    OH, SWEET VIRGIN MARY,
    WHAT GRIEF DEATH GIVES US!
(AVE MARIA, AVE MARIA, ETC . . .)
    MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN,
    RECITE THE ROSARY,
    SO IN THE OTHER WORLD,
    YOU MAY FIND REST.
(AVE MARIA, AVE MARIA, ETC . . .)

    Feast of the Annunciation

The Sight Touched Even the Hardest of Hearts

    Jacinta's father, Simon, recalls:
“The three girls, Conchita, Loli and my daughter, up until then had only "prayed" the rosary. That day, however, they began to sing it and they sang the whole rosary. At the beginning of the apparition, there were only a few of us there, but by the end I think the whole village was there.

I felt an immense joy. I knew well how shy my daughter is and I thought to myself, ‘she must be seeing something great to sing like she's singing.”

My joy that day could only have been greater if I were to have seen the Blessed Virgin myself.” .

    Maximina wrote in a letter:
“The best thing happened on Sunday, feast of the Annunciation.
The apparition began at 9:30 pm and finished at 12 midnight. I can hardly explain what happened. They began to sing the rosary. Then they said that Our Lady asked for everyone to sing. Well, we sang with all our hearts! You can’t imagine!

We sang all the way to the cemetery. There, on their knees, they prayed one mystery. Conchita, next to the closed gate, reached through the bars with the crucifix in hand; it looking like she was giving it to be kissed. The sight touched even the hardest of hearts.
Afterwards we went back to the village, singing all the way. We sang the "Salve" and "Cantemos al amor de los amores" (traditional Spanish Eucharistic hymn), and then other songs that the girls made up while still in ecstasy. The girls exclaimed, “The Blessed Virgin is very happy because there are a lot of people! She smiles and looks at all of us!" .

Credo Christi Crux est Mea Lux

    Hi Glenn,

It's realized that you had prompted Conchita to offer some form of encouragement during this ongoing pandemic. You posted her response (as appended above) on March 19, 2020. Did Conchita actually respond to you on the previous day (March 18) - as some commentators on the Internet have claimed. It seems that on March 18, 2020, Mirjana Dragićević of Medjugorje announced that the Blessed Mother would no longer appear to her on a monthly basis. Accordingly, there has been some groundless speculation that these (alleged) synchronous events offer some inherent meaning or predictive value. Personally, I think it's sufficient and providential that the encouraging message from Conchita was posted on the Solemnity of St. Joseph - a 'quintessential' role model for embracing a quiet and humble life of detachment and prayer. Thank you!
