We provoke the wrath of God upon ourselves by our own rebellion, our own disobedience, our own self-will. All evil consists in trying to follow our own ways, instead of seeking the ways of God. Our ways are very easy to follow; it suffices to allow ourselves to be led. But ours are ways of sin — and not only the sin of the world that so many new books now propose — and they lead us to destruction. On the other hand, the ways of God, how difficult they can be at times! His are the ways of triumph and salvation; but they can only be traveled thru effort and sacrifice: two things that our weakened nature abhors. The world — men prone to serve the flesh — inclines to ease and not to combat, to pleasure and not to service, to leisure and not to work, to the good life and not to good living. This manner of living — spread throughout the Church — is inflicting mortal wounds. Pseudo-prophets, with their distorted nuances ranting about renewal and liberation, are attempting to discredit the ascetic and penitential way of life, as though asceticism were not an evangelical sign, but the despised remnant of a naive and misled monastic spirituality unworthy of esteem. Self sacrifice? Self denial? Self renunciation? How absurd! Neither the clergy nor the laity want any of this. Anti-asceticism is the order of the day. But for whom did Jesus say, If anyone wishes to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross? (Mt. 16: 24)Certainly this is not for those who never mention Him except to speak about self-determination, self-fulfillment, self-advancement . . . Thus many things explain themselves. How could a person like this accept the message of June 18th that insistently requests things that they themselves are trying at all costs to renounce? — You should sacrifice yourself more. — Think of the Passion of Jesus. The Passion of Jesus! They are not interested in this. They are only interested in talking of things more to the liking of the man of today. For them the only things that matter are actions and words favorable to their self-expression and lifestyle, which is far removed from, He made Himself obedient to death, the death of the cross! [How much some would like to efface one of the principal declarations of teh Gospe: Enter by the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who enter that way. How small the gate and narrow the way that leads to like! And few there are who find it. (Matt. 7: 13-14)]

APRIL 16, 1962 A message from Heaven ! THE "HOLY WEEK" AT GARABANDAL Mercedes Salisachs, a Catalonian mother of five children, and also a woman of Letters well known in Spain, became an outstanding protagonist of the Garabandal event. She went to the famous little village four times, her first and overwhelming stay occurring during the Holy Week of April 1962. And quite understandably, since she was then to learn, at the end of the paschal vigil, through Mari-Loli but on behalf of the Blessed Virgin, that one of her sons, Miguel, a young talented artist-painter, killed in a car accident at the age of twenty-one, "was in heaven and that he was 'accompanying' her every day!" TODAY APRIL 16, 1927 Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI’s 93rd BD ! Pope Benedict XVI & Garabandal Pope Benedict XVI knows all about Garabandal , and been very receptive to learning more about it. Not only has he met and interviewed Conchita, ( When I personally spoke to Conchita about the meeting in the Vatican , she told me she only met him when he was Cardinal Ratzinger, not as Pope Benedict.) He has all the latest investigation papers, eyewitness testimonies of the miracles, etc. performed through the intercession of Our Lady of Garabandal, sent to him by the well known promoter the late Fr. Francis Benac, S.J. He has also read the Garabandal book “ O Children Listen to Me “ Cardinal Ratzinger became the Prefect (head) of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, on November 25, 1981,the Vatican department in charge of protecting the sacred deposit of the faith handed on from the apostles. Considering how close he was with Pope John Paul II, who was a vocal supporter of Garabandal, him meeting Conchita, reading up on the subject, it’s no surprise to me, that he is a believer too. The reason I say this is I have it on good authority that he has conveyed his belief to a Vatican priest ,who is also a Canon Lawyer (who wishes to remain nameless ). According to journalist John L. Allen Jr.'s 2005 biography entitled: 'Pope Benedict XVI: A Biography of Joseph Ratzinger' (pages 118-119 ) his interest in Garabandal began long before becoming Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. It actually began when he was a professor of theology at the Gustav Siewerth Haus Academy, located in Germany's Black Forest. Every summer he gave a course in dogmatic exegesis at the private academy from 1970 thru 1979. It is said that he knew of and took the Garabandal apparitions seriously even then. Author John Allen, Jr. confirmed this from several of Joseph Ratzinger's former graduate students. Monsignor Juan Antonio del Val, in addition to giving permission for the movie made by BBC, made a personal investigation for several years about the Apparitions of Garabandal and is one of the witnesses on the video, “Garabandal, the Eyewitnesses,” produced by Michael Tubberty and published in more that thirty languages by Monsignor Roman Danylak, titular Bishop of Nyssa, Rome, Italy. (January 24, 2000). Monsignor del Val testifies that the findings of the investigation of the Apparitions of the Most Holy Virgin Mary in Garabandal were sent to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith; more specifically, to Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger. ( This led to Pope Benedict XVI confirming belief in Garabandal).
I spoke to Conchita tonight 6pm EST, she asked for prayers for her friend & Mother Superior from boarding school, Mother Nieves, she has covid19.
I will pray! God bless and heal her! These photos of Conchita are sweet. When I listen to her interviews on video, she is so humble and a bit shy. Never attention seeking....one reason I believe in Garabandal ... Because of her credibility.
Thank you for the great information shared here regarding the Garabandal apparitions, etc.... to be honest, I'm not sure I've ever posted here before, maybe once long ago (not sure?)... although I've read many of the posts over the years. I just wanted to say thank you for making this information available for those of us who love Jesus & Our Lady. Happy & Blessed Easter to all, and may Jesus' Divine Mercy be on each of us and those we love, and those who are at their death bed (or near) needing prayerful assistance at this time (possibly including Mother Nieves).
At age 16 Conchita was already was spiritually wise: "There is no point in our believing in the apparitions if we do not heed the message." (Star on the Mountain, p. 118 ) “To guess at dates regarding the [prophesied] Miracle shows a lack of faith in the Blessed Virgin .Indeed, the energies expended on this are so much better spent on living the Message! “ March 2013 Glenn’s conversation with Conchita With all of the arguing over which of the different visionary’s is right, predicting dates, the future of our new Pope, the direction of the church, I've learned one thing, its all distracting, and detracting from our spiritual goals. The best advice I ever got was from Conchita ( when I asked her about the direction of all these things) ,she talked about what is most important,maintaining your spiritual life (Confession, penance ,mass, communion, the rosary, etc. ) and she said " I surround my self with good people, pray and don't worry " . ( Sounds like she took the advice of her friend Padre Pio )

Apologies if this has already been answered. Will mankind experience a healing of sorts when the warning occurs? When one thinks of all those in chronic pain, depression or enslaved by addictions etc, how will they be able to freely respond to the warning if they are caught up with other serious issues?
After the warning comes the miracle at Garabandal. All who are present in Garabandal during the miracle will be healed. Millions will be present. I am going to book flights as Conchita will give 8 days notice of the miracle.
Correct except the last part. Blessed Mother never said how many would be present. There’s no guarantee “millions” (or even hundreds would be present) Our Blessed Mother said “The sick.” She didn’t say all of the sick or some of the sick. She just said “the sick” will be cured. Re how many will be there at the Miracle is unknown. I hope, like you do I/we are Blessed to be there. It’s up to God. Peace!
And what about the time between the warning and the miracle? Will those of us who struggle with life changing illnesses and issues receive any additional grace to help us respond to the warning? Just wondering.
Gods Mercy and power are not to be understood by us. So as an example God will enable someone with Dementia/Alzheimer’s during the Warning to understand clearly the bad they have done and the good they failed to do in life. God will show us our sins and the consequences of them. But not only that, He will make us understand in the Warning how He sees our souls and the difference between each sin in His eyes. Not ours. The Warning, as scary and for some as terrifying as it will be, will be the greatest and last act of Mercy God will perform since His Crucifixion. You and all despite our illnesses/issues will clearly be able to choose right from wrong. Good or evil after the Warning. The difference is we will know without a shadow of a doubt what we are choosing (and we can still choose because God will NEVER take away our free will) The Warning is coming to “Change the Conscience of the World,” as well as to purify and prepare us for the Great Miracle to follow.
