I love that Mary Magdalene was so full of grief that her tears almost blinded her. Have you ever been like this? So full of tears that you can barely see?

When she first got to the tomb and saw Jesus was no longer there, she looked to an angel, she was either so full of grief that she didn't notice that he was an angel, or else she didn't actually care who he was, she just wanted her Jesus. So she said to him "Where hast thou taken my Lord?"

Everywhere else in the bible people dropped to their knees in fear, or had to be told not to be afraid. This women only had one aim. Jesus.

She then turned to the gardener, didn't recognize him at first, of course it was Jesus. Her love and her loyalty were rewarded. Blessed are the pure in heart, they shall see God.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread and
forgive us our trespasses as we
forgive those who trespass against us.
    Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

What startles me the most in all the encounters Mary Magdalene and the Apostles have with Our Lord right after Resurrection is basically a proof that they did not believe He will Resurrect in 3 days - no one! - everybody was thinking that the body was missing, even Mary Magdalene...
This is, btw, a rebuttal to one of the theories by historians, that the Apostles and women were so sure He has risen, that had hallucinations - the texts of all the Gospels contradicts the very base of this theory.

Yes, for me it shows that they didn't understand what it was that Jesus was trying to tell them. Good old Thomas always said what he was thinking, (one of my favorite apostles) "Master, what do you mean, where you are going we cannot come." He was very literal, understood what he could taste and see before his eyes.

Our dear Thomas was the first to experience the dark night of the soul.

How often are we told something that we don't really understand until we have experienced it for ourselves.

Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia. / For He whom you did merit to bear, alleluia.
Has risen, as he said, alleluia. / Pray for us to God, alleluia.
Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia. / For the Lord has truly risen, alleluia.
Let us pray. O God, who gave joy to the world through the resurrection of Thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, grant we beseech Thee, that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, His Mother, we may obtain the joys of everlasting life. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

They both ran, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter and arrived at the tomb first; he bent down and saw the burial cloths there, but did not go in.

When Simon Peter arrived after him, he went into the tomb and saw the burial cloths there, and the cloth that had covered his head, not with the burial cloths but rolled up in a separate place.

Then the other disciple also went in, the one who had arrived at the tomb first, and he saw and believed.

For they did not yet understand the scripture that he had to rise from the dead. Then the disciples returned home.

    The Ascension

The Second Glorious Mystery - the Ascension of Christ – from the Gospel according to Luke, chapter 24, verses 46-53.

And he said to them, "Thus it is written that the Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins, would be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. And (behold) I am sending the promise of my Father upon you; but stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high." Then he led them (out) as far as Bethany, raised his hands, and blessed them. As he blessed them he parted from them and was taken up to heaven. They did him homage and then returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and they were continually in the temple praising God.

“This final stage stays closely linked to the first, that is, to His descent from Heaven in the Incarnation. Only the one who 'came from the Father' can return to the Father: Christ Jesus". (Article 661 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church).
