Josie just told me it had uploaded - the side doors of the church were open and you can hear the cicadas chirping away in the background - their own little song of praise to God.
Joe I ask Our Lady to give you special protection and help. You have been a stalwart and faithful friend to all of us--not just Luke. I for one will be sad to lose touch with you. I hope you will check in from time to time. God bless!!!
I will be sad to lose touch with you too and do hope you check in from time to time. One thing we have learned on this journey with our brother Luke is unity even in our differences. Thank Luke for that lesson!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you Joe. You have been a strong bridge connecting all of us to Luke and family. You mirrored Our Blessed Mother as a great intercessor and we all appreciate your kind efforts to bring us to his side.
I have sent photos of Luke’s mass service card and the memorial book to Brian in the hope that he can post them. I tried but it said they were too big.
Joe kindly forwarded some photos from Luke’s funeral and I was able to resize and reorient them: View attachment 9447 View attachment 9448
Joe, the Mass was so beautiful. The homily was full of truth and mercy, one couldn't help but weep. Thank you to Brian also for the help with the photos.
From Josie to me today “I would certainly like to be able to take the children on a bit of a holiday next week as they've been so busy looking after their dad and mum they didn't get a holiday at all. So any contributions would certainly make that easier to consider doing...am wondering do you think it would be best to set up another of those givealittle pages. It makes overseas donations easier and safer for everyone. What do you think?” I said I thought it would be a good idea and asked Josie to let me know when it was set up and I would notify the forum. A bit of a holiday will be just that.
From Josie a moment ago “My sister is going to set it up again and include requests for help towards the upcoming cost of headstone. Yesterday was beautiful. I feel so proud of Luke and my girls. God bless”
Joe, I have just finished praying my way through Luke's requiem Holy Mass. The tears fell at times. Thanks! Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!
I have been praying for Luke and will continue to pray for him and his young family. I am sure he is already resting in peace! May God continue to bless and keep us all through these difficult times!
Last year, long before Luke knew he had cancer, and when money was more lacking than usual, Luke cancelled his life policy. It was only for $80,000 NZ but even the small premiums for that proved to be too much for the budget. It would have helped greatly now. Luke told me this a few weeks before he died.
Oh Joe that is so terrible. Please help us to know how to help Josie. Perhaps like before with that NZ version of Go Fund Me? Could someone reestablish it?
Hey, I recognize that avatar. Glad to see our absentee Bostonian is still alive! Safe on the Father's Lap!
