This is so hard. I guess we can ask God to give us this grace but it's so very hard nonetheless. Some ppl have done the most evil things & they never show any remorse.
I feel your pain & I think God will have to supernaturally do this for us. I'm finding it hard to forgive my family for so much generational evil. My grandmother would put her children in sacks & hang them from a tree when they misbehaved. She'd gamble her days away & assign chores to the kids, she was never home. My Aunty remarried without telling her kids. One of my cousin's parents didn't want him so they abandoned him, thank God my great Aunt who was ever so loving raised him. It's getting a bit easier to forgive my dad since his dad used to beat him when he was drunk so I feel sorry for him, but my mum is adamant she had a wonderful childhood, she followed her mother's footsteps of gambling day & night, she was also never home. My brother & I raised ourselves. We have 2 nuns in our family that refuse to confront my Aunty about making us all lie to my cousin about his adoption, we had to go along with the lie he's our biological cousin - lies are not of God. I can't confront my Aunty myself as I don't even live in the same country. I ask God, how in the world do I forgive all this LOL.
Thanks for sharing. We will pray for you and all your family. You are right, humanly very hard if not impossible. Only with nature of Christ within us csn it be done. It’s a journey but you are blessed that you can name your cross and claim it. Peace.
Thank you!! You & your family are in my prayers also. Maybe we just have to wait on God's perfect timing with this as well. I pray for ppl that have committed such evil, if they deny what they've done, don't show any remorse or make any reparation it will be very scary for them when God's judgement comes. It's never wrong to pray for God's justice either since God knows the physical or mental harm. I pray ppl know God & choose not to be separated from Him. Praying for the grace to forgive & give it to God since no one can hide anything from Him either.
