A man of my childhood (Protestant) church died on December 27th. He was 91. I first met he and wife / family in the late 1970s, when I was 13. Jim was a simple, kind man. And he was heavily burdened by issues of mental health affecting his wife and daughter. A son, in the 1980s, nearly went to prison for juvenile delinquency. One of his grandsons killed his mother (Jim's daughter-in-law) in 2005. Jim and wife were married in 1958 in the famous "Little Brown Church in the Vale." He (they both) were devout, were gladly present at every church service, and the love of Jesus is clearly seen on Jim's face in the photo attached to his obituary. Thank you for prayers.
Yes. Thank you (and to everyone of course). I especially love how Andy Griffith and Don Knotts sang it on an episode of "The Andy Griffith Show."
