The graces of the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony are available from the Heavenly Father, always on call. No rose gardens are promised, and there may be thorns, but God will never abandon you.
Dear DS7.....many here probably feel the same for various reason. Your situation combined with the prospects of a even more dismal future certainly explains your feelings of despair. But Gods permissive will allows these life events and we will likely only know why when we meet him...but getting through faithfully is a challenge. I hope you have a support in either family or friends. We all need to share our life struggles...most especially if your dealing with a disabled husband....you’re probably overwhelmed ! Try to reach out for help...get out with a friend occasionally for needed breaks. Join a prayer group like a rosary group. Most of these groups are filled with compassionate people who you’ll be able to share your concerns with. God chose us to be born in these hard times because He has a purpose for our short lives...everyone of us. You may doing your purgatory now DS7....for your souls eternal glory awaits and it will be all worth it. Most of us don’t struggle completely alone, don’t try to. Reach out. I’ll keep you in my prayers because many of us are worried for our future....it’s all uncertain for us. We’re operating on Gods grace! Praying God imparts this needed grace to you dear DS7! I think Desertstar7 is talking about leaving planet earth, that would not extend to a return journey. And of course we don't want her to be thinking this way. We don't want a fellow soldier jumping ship just when the going gets rough. Hang on in there Desertstar 7, you are not alone, we need you. Blessed Mother needs you here too.

Exactly , Julia...I think we are at the point of exhaustion from it all. Everything is going from bad to worse for many of us ....my well worn physical crosses are getting heavier and they are increasing in number. I spend alot of my day praying for all the many problems in my family and in the world to be healed and things are still getting worse not better! I for one feel like I want to just lie down and quit...woe is me BUT.... PERSEVERANCE is the word that keeps looming over top all my moaning and groaning! I told Our Lady that I would be loyal to her "come hell or high water" and ...as you say Julia... Im not gonna "jump ship " .....today!! ( Please Lord ..how much longer?)
You say it right Ellen. That just about covers it. We must pray for perseverance and courage. One day at a time.
Fight the good fight to the end, run the race to the finish. Whatever Donald J Trump did, good bad or indifferent. One thing is for certain, he is a fighter, and he will with the help of God fight the good fight to the end, and run the race to the finish. We should all take that on board. Remember this man has been persecuted for the last five years and he did not give up. He came from a life of luxury to fulfil a wish to restore the integrity of America. He might go down fighting, but we can retreat under the Mighty Wings of Jesus in the surrender Novena, and Jesus will take care of us all. Even Trump.

God has a plan for everyone of our lives. We were born with a purpose. We need to remain faithful and steadfast, but mostly we must TRUST that Jesus has this... No matter how bleak life looks, we must remember that we our life eternal is not this life...it is heaven. Maybe we will go through hell to get to heaven, but that’s a journey and regardless of how hard it is, it will end. Our eternity in heaven is the goal...keep your eye on the goal. It’s not wrong to wish this journey would end because when it’s that difficult, desiring it be over is normal. But as Christians, we have to fight the good fight, stay faithful and get the sacraments for strength. Stay away from all news, media, etc that causes anxiety. If your anxiety is too much, a doctor can prescribe a medication to help you. Stay away from negative people and try to tune out all sources of angst. Pray to St. Michael to intervene when you’re feeling overwhelmed...and your guardian angel. And remember, many of us are in the same boat...you’re not alone....you just feel alone. Please find someone that you can trust to share your worries. Reaching out to MOG members is a good start. Most of us have had seriously life changing events that makes it easy for us to identify with your pain. You are missing all joy in your life and can’t see any hope. Please seek out joyful opportunities even if they are infrequent. None of us are a island, we need one another....that’s how we get by. Unload the weight of the world when you’re feeling it and try to focus on the eternal goal. Never risk losing sight of eternity, but only God chooses that day, hour, minute and second. He knows His plan for your life and He knows what you’re dealing with....you are never alone because He will never abandon you....never. Hand it all over to Him and be at peace. Our goal is heaven....when our Lord schedules it. Ohhh, don’t be shy about seeking a doctors help here. You do what you need to do to get through the rough patches...God provided for this too. Fight the good fight...the battle is here and the victory is heaven....don’t miss it!

Thank you Ellen, but I’ve had to employ this plan for myself recently. I had many hard days over the last four years, so I can identify with others who are in that same place. So many folks are dealing with really tough situations and at the end of the day we know we can’t fix most of it....we are completely at the mercy of God and that itself leads us to the answer....just trust in Him. How others “ do life” without faith is beyond me.... Jesus, I trust in you++++ and yes....the other weapon.....the rosary!!
