Taimse Im' Chodladh
Do not awake me for I am asleep....Oh St Patrick awake awake....
I have to mention this as I play it quite well if I don't say so myself.. This whistle tis a beautiful sound..
I wish I posted those last two tunes, I love them, I also play the Lonesome boatman on whisle and flute, but it wouldn't be for the discerning listener.
I am posting this not for political reasons but for spiritual.
I too like Enya, have several of her albums. I love this song by Mary Black.
I have always loved this one from Van Morrison
Perhaps the most beautiful Irish Ballad
In the rare ould times
Mayo are into the All-Ireland final.
We had 3 weeks of sun shine for the fisrt time in nearly 20 years.
And the basilica in knock is getting a big extension!! (for a big return to faith)
The west's awake
Isn't it, Padraig - and not wishing to sour things, but if you look at the scenes of Gweedore at 1:26 and 3:27 you can see they are from the infamous 1886 evictions - the entire family is outside with a few sticks of furniture and a pot or two - all they own - and the door behind them is barred with a few planks.
Want to borrow an All-Ireland song?

If this is the first you've heard of him, trust me, it won't be the last.
Hey Indy! Ready to predict the final score tomorrow? Is your house all red and green? Bubbly in the fridge?
I love All-Ireland Sunday, and the weather is to be perfect.
I have to admit I'm Galway through and through but am 100% behind our Mayo neighbors, its a great county with great faith. So yes I will be sporting some red and green. I'm not the best at predicting scores I think Mayo will win by 2 points... Lets see which county has said the most Rosarys.
Here's a Galway tune.
And now one for MAYO!!
Gorgeous scenes in that video Indy, but did I see the Sleeping Giant? Isn't that off the coast of Kerry?
Hoping Sam's wearing red and green at 5 pm ....
Krizevac, Mayo must be trying to copy some of Kerry's success... ahh well maybe next year. I hope they are at least pleased about the mighty consecration of Ireland to Our Lady that took place in Mayo this year..
This one's for Dublin.
