I hope I have time to watch this later. Fr Gaitely is a great gift to the church...a great gift to all of us really. He wrote 33 days to Morning Glory, which many of used for our consecration to Mary. It is such an inspirational read...he was clearly moved by the Holy Spirit. Kathy - when you did your first consecration to Mary, what prayers/book did you use? Was it Morning Glory, Maxmillian, something else? Just wondering, as you felt the de Montfort consecration impacted your life more. BTW, the "dying to self" I talked about on another thread that you mentioned, I got that from Fr. Gaitely in the Morning Glory book. I'm not smart enough to think up stuff like that on my own!!
I will go through the "33 Days to Morning Glory" this summer and remake a consecration on August 15th. I also presented the idea to the Legion of Mary and they were also enthused. So I ran it by my pastor and he has heard Fr. Gaitley and was impressed by him so as I go through this consecration, I will let my pastor know if this is as good as initially it looks. They have a whole parish program that can be done over 6 weeks. It is followed by the "Consoling the Heart of Jesus" for Our Lady leads us to her Divine Son. One pastor said these programs led to the institution of perpetual adoration in his parish. That is the goal here too!
