Yes, anger. But often anger wears the mask of civility. Here's the respectable face of American exceptionalism and Christian Zionism. At first glance, he might appear to be living in a parallel universe, far removed from the wholesale slaughter in Palestine with the active participation of his Government which is now bombing little Yemen and aiding the bombing of Lebanon. Dress him in a frilled shirt, give him a monocle and snuff box, polish up his accent and he would fit in any withdrawing room in regency London. Colonialist oppressive war mongering passing itself off as peace loving. They get away with it by convincing enough of their countrymen that theirs is a superior, more civilised brand of humanity under constant threat from the enemy at the gate who is best fought "over there". No wonder people like Gandhi said they liked our Christ but not Christians. Mr. Hanson is a true son of the Reformation. Irish Catholics suffered for centuries at the hands of his ilk. Today it's the turn of Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. It will be Catholics' turn again soon enough. There is no good side in any of the current conflicts.

The German chancellor, who will very probably soon be newly elected, is also taking part.

"The CDU chairman and candidate for chancellor of the Union parties in the upcoming Bundestag elections has once again unpacked his idea of a German ‘24-hour ultimatum’ to Russia, which he has already voiced several times during the election campaign.

In an interview with Stern magazine, Friedrich Merz promised that if he were elected German Chancellor, he would ‘immediately’ set Russia a deadline of 24 hours to end the war in Ukraine. If the Russian leadership does not comply with this demand, he will hand over Taurus cruise missiles to Kiev and authorise the shelling of Russian territory...

Russian President Vladimir Putin had warned that the release of Western long-range weapons for strikes on internationally recognised Russian territory being considered by NATO states would be seen as direct participation in the war by the country whose weapons are being used to fire on Russia. In his interview, Merz described this warning as ‘really nonsense’ and ‘stupid stuff’. "

I have read that Merz was (is?) very high up in the Blackrock corporation that owns a very high proportion of the Ukraine. If so, he might wish to protect his company's investments there, regardless of the human cost.

Merz seems a madman, as no human being is capable of being that stupid.
Do you not know? Only Jews' lives matter. Christian Zionists go along with it, because they think Heaven is meant exclusively for them. It is incredible how many Americans buy into all this. And, incredibly dangerous. Certainly dangerous for all those (mostly innocent) Palestinians. But, also for the entire world, because of the connections with the Ukraine and Taiwan. E. Michael Jones asserts that Protestantism is a Judaised form of Christianity. Events are increasingly proving him right. There are even Catholics who buy into this.

I had no idea Victor Hansen was a Zionist and I watch him quite regularly. This saddens me. It is like some kind of disease so many are afflicted by it. Poor man. A kind of blindness.

He's a Netanyahu mouthpiece and full of BS on geopolitical matters. He was someone I admired in the past. Now he fills me with revulsion.

I'm ashamed to say that it took a needless war in Europe and genocide in Palestine for me to grow some respect for Jeffrey Sachs. Sachs may not have any faith (at least not Christian faith - I think he's Jewish) but he's a man of peace who clearly believes in helping to improve the lot of struggling countries. There's a video of a question and answer session held at the Cambridge Union recently that's well worth watching. It's over an hour long but worth the time. I have huge respect for Sachs now. I'm still wary that he seems to have too much influence in the Vatican on matters other than economics and geopolitics because he's not Catholic. I think he'd make a great Catholic and have added his conversion to my general prayer intentions.

Yes I too have been struck by Jeffrey Sachs. He has drawn back from the Woke Dem party. His views on population control are sketchy. At least used to be.

According to experts, the German economy is headed to the toilet to be followed by the rest of the Eurozone and it looks like it will be a race between the Euro and the £ to see which gets there first. Maybe the elites have shares in the arms industry and are hoping war will boost their share value.

I stumbled across an article on a Protestant website recently where the author was bemoaning the influence of Christian Zionism in the US. The author blamed the Scofield Bible. Apparently a mam called John Nelson Darby brought the Christian Zionism error to the US and he engaged Scofield to produce a reference or study Bible which has since become the best selling Bible in the US. According to the author, both Darby and Scofield were shady characters and were funded by a criminal defence lawyer with very wealthy clients. He (or she) reckoned that the belief became widespread through Bible study groups attended by mainline Protestants and Catholics. Another Protestant website seemed to share the assessment of the characters of Darby and Scofield but used more moderate language. I'm not sure but I think that Oxford University Press may now hold the publishing rights to the Scofield Bible.

    Couldn’t agree with you more.

Sachs is often featured in Judge Napolitanos YouTube show. The good judge has tremendous respect for him.

I uploaded a short Sachs interview above.

Sadly, the three appointments of Trump are all warmongers. You know Trump may have fooled me the first time, but not this time. We are in for some trouble.

I wouldn't give up on Trump, just yet. One with intentions of negotiating for peace is advised to do so from a position of strength. Trump is renowned for making deals. He would be naive to enter negotiations with Putin in the company of peaceniks. You can't win with a losing hand. He brought arch-neocon John Bolton into his last administration, yet it was a time of relative peace.

I read today (on ZeroHedge) that some US "Top Admiral", has said that if them darn Russkies hadn't had nuclear weapons, NATO would have whopped 'em and driven them out of Ukraine. Apart from the inherent absurdity of the statement from a military that lost to the Taliban, and more ridiculously that it comes from a naval officer about a land-locked conflict, the statement needs to be thought through more deeply than is the case in the article. In fact, in terms of what is euphemistically called conventional warfare, NATO, via its supported proxy (and one that was larger and more battle-hardened than any equivalent in NATO itself) has received a comprehensive beating by Russia, in the Ukraine. Therefore, the only logical interpretation of the Admiral's pompous claim is that the only thing preventing NATO from nuking Russia, as being the only possible way they could defeat them, is the pesky spoilsports having nukes of their own.

Now, we're being prepared for the demise of Zelensky and a 'peace deal'. But, the chickens are now coming home to roost and Putin is insisting that NATO withdraw to the German border. A defeat is about to turn into a rout.

Some guy with a desk job, probably. It's amazing how bloated the US military is now in terms of officers, the vast majority of whom have never seen combat.
