Escalation - very worrying

It was a really beautiful day yesterday, very unusual here for late October and since it was a Saturday there were crowds of happy people out and about as I walked along the sea front. But a sadness and apprehension came over me, especially as I looked at the young people and children. They are facing immense challenges as we spiral towards Wars, in fact who knows if they will even live much longer? Selfishly I also think of myself and how I will cope in Spain with all that is to come.

I know what is coming is a Purification and will turn people back to God. What good if people lead long and materially well of lives if this leads them only to hell? So I know what is coming is necessary and for the greater good. But it is rather like taking a trip to the dentist. I know it is for the good but I can still fear it a little and this which is coming down at the moment is a million times worse than a trip to the dentist.

Scripture and the saints warn us not to worry. I do try not to, but it is hard.

Last night I woke up in the dark and asked God to speak to me directly to cheer me up. I take a notion to do this from time to time. At once I felt Him draw closer. Then I saw an image of Christ holding me in His arms like a little baby. I saw the baby turning and twisting as though it were about to wake up and cry. But Jesus hugged it closer and it turned and fell asleep again.

We are so very, very small and God is very, very great. Dear Lord hold us in your arms like the very small babies we are and carry us through the coming storms.

Yes.God bless our Phillipino brothers and sisters. Fr Calloway calls them God's shock troops. :)He recounts how a group of Phillipino women praying the Rosary dragged him right into the Church and the priesthood.

My attitude about Garabandal is the same as about Medjugorje, even though I am Croatian and have the same last name as the two seers... There are signs of the supernatural that are undeniable, but there are some things that cause confusion and in some cases even "spooky". But I wouldn't get involved in a conversation about it. No one is obliged to believe in any private apparition, we have the teaching of the Catholic Church, the Mass as the greatest sacrifice that Christ left us as well as Himself in the Eucharist. Everything needed for salvation is there and private appirations are not something we have to believe.

If someone is stronger in faith because of them, then great. But in my case it would cause a certain kind of confusion where I don't want to go... Here I take the same position as the Catholic Church, if the messages are true then they will come true in the next 20 years (more or less). If they are not, they will perish like everything that is not of God. As for Fatima, Lourdes, Guadalupe, Akita, I have firm beliefs and not only because of the confirmation of the Church, but also a whole series of facts... Again, neither one will save me, but only God's grace and living the faith according to the commandments and laws that God left us and that the Catholic Church proclaims.

I am glad that numerous conversions are taking place in those places and that many are approaching faith in Christ. That's the most important thing in the end..

Yes I'm well aware no one is obliged to believe. I was just pointing out that it is not necessary to wait for church approval to believe if you find it worthy of belief in your own discernment. I'm also aware that we have everything necessary for salvation. But I take the view of, if our blessed mother is appearing, she's doing it for a reason

So true Padraig. All this has been on my mind of late. A lot of my personal conversations with God the Father revolve around fear. I know we are not to fear but to trust but it is so hard to let go of that fear. I keep asking for him to help me overcome the fear of what is to come not so much what may happen to me but when it involves my children and loved ones. It is so hard for me not to fear an awful moment where I see them in fear and am helpless. I came across a story recently of a man they found alive burried in the mud in the hills of North Carolina. He was so defeated when they came to rescue him. He told them not to because he has lost the will to live since his children and wife were gone. They told him, how does he know they are gone? They are finding survivors all the time now. He said I know because they stopped scratching at my legs 2 days ago. They were under him. His fear and complete loss of will is my fear. In these awful times that I think we all know we are facing, how am I to lose this fear of all these what ifs that could happen to my children. I know it is a parent's greatest fear but I just can't shake it of late. I keep imagining them in awful situations and looking at me for help and I can't help them. So alas I pray for strength and the grace of peace when the storm does hit home if indeed it does come to me. I beg to be spared of this helplessness to be able to be the strong and courageous father that my kids have always looked to in all their moments of fear.

According to the news, the former Soviet republic of Estonia has practically doubled the number of Catholics since its independence in 1992 until 2022, going from 3,500 to 6,700 faithful. Due to this fact, the Apostolic Administration of Estonia is now being replaced by a diocese, and the French-born prelate Phillipe Jourdan will be its first bishop.

I have the uneasy feeling that far, far more people died in those two storms than anyone is letting on. Maybe God's wish is not that we necessarily overcome our fears but wrestle with them as best we can. IF our Catholic Martyrs all went to their deaths with no fear whatsoever I suppose it doesn't make it much of a Sacrifice?

I recall the account of the execution of Saint Cardinal John Fisher. He publically admitted before he died that he was very frightened. That maybe makes him all the more admirable than less.
It is our love rather than our courage that God values.

Yes, I believe they are covering up the loss of life, many are still missing. According to locals from NC there may be something sinister going on. There are reports about residents who are being encouraged by FEMA to accept buy outs for their property. Apparently this part of NC has one of the most valuable lithium mines in the world.

That scripture verse makes me think of bloodlines, especially the part about wiping "their" descendants from the sons of men. I often wonder if Covid was an attempt at destroying/modifying certain bloodlines. Getting into the nephalim and such.

I have been feeling much the same thing, Andy3. Father Mark Goring has been speaking about the joy of reading the book, The Father Speaks to His Children by Mother Eugenia Ravasio. It is truly wonderful, comforting, and all of the goodness of a true Father speaking to his beloved children. The following excerpt of one of His conversations with Mother Eugenia makes me feel like He would love nothing more than to pull us all up into His lap and hold us close. I am not afraid when I listen to His words. (Here is a link: https://fatherspeaks.net/eugenia_msg.html)

“I live with them more intimately than a mother with her children. Since man’s creation, I have never for one moment stopped living beside him. As his Creator and Father, I feel the need to love him. It is not that I need him, but My love, as Father and Creator, makes Me feel this need to love man. Thus I live close to man, I follow him everywhere, I help him in all things, I supply everything. I can see his needs, his toils, all his desires, and My greatest happiness lies in helping him and saving him. Men believe Me to be a terrifying God Who is going to cast all mankind into hell. What a great surprise it will be when, at the end of time, they see so many souls they believed lost, enjoying eternal bliss among the elect! I wish all My creatures to be convinced that there is a Father Who watches over them and Who would like them to enjoy, on earth, a foretaste of eternal happiness. A mother never forgets the little creature she has brought into the world. Is it not even more wonderful that I remember all My creatures? So if a mother loves the little being I gave her, I love him more than she does, because I created him. Even if it happens that a mother loves her child less because of some defect, I, on the contrary, will love him still more. She may later on forget him or think of him rarely, especially when because of his age he is no longer in her care, but I will never forget him. I will always love him, and even if he no longer remembers Me, His Father and Creator, I will still remember him and love him.”

Writers on Catholic Mysticism often used to refer to the, 'Secrets of the King'. Which I suppose is very similiar to the Marian Secrets often referred to in very many Marian Apparitions.

    Proverbs 25:2

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.

    Matthew 13:11

He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.

A good recent example of a Secret of the King came from Medugorje were one of the visionaries asked Our Lady if there is life on other planets? To which Mary replied,

    'That does not concern you'.

A good example of a Secret of the King from Scripture is the date and time of the End of the World which is concealed, we are told , 'Even from the angels'.

    Matthew 24:36

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Why should there be such Secrets? Well our end on Earth is simply to secure our Salvation. All things that work to that end are fine, but anything that might distract or confuse us might very well send us racing down Gnostic rabbit holes may very well not be good. I think knowledge of the Nephilim might be one such rabbit hole we don't need to go down. I strongly suspect this is another Secret of the King.

All this reminds me of the Ancient Legend of Pandora and the box.

    • The legend of Pandora's box is a Greek myth about the first woman on Earth, Pandora, who was given a box by Zeus that contained all the evils of the world:
      • The gift
Zeus gave Pandora a beautiful box as a gift, but told her never to open it.

    • The opening
Pandora's curiosity got the best of her, and she opened the box.

    • The consequences
Pandora released all the evils of the world, including sickness, death, hunger, sorrow, greed, and envy.

    • The hope
As Pandora closed the box, she managed to keep one thing inside, which is usually translated as "hope
