Sounds very like dispensationalism to me. I was under the impression that the Catholic Church is the New Israel. I don't think this neo-conservative worldview corresponds with the teaching of the Catholic Church. The Church considers that the Jews will inherit the Holy Land only after they recognise Christ as their Messiah. Ironically, this is considered by the Church as the trigger for the End of the World. So, the Jews will only truly regain their Promised Land when The Lord creates His New Heaven and New Earth. What we are seeing is a heretical attempt by Christian Zionists to take Heaven by storm. The Jewish Zionists mostly see their actions in secular terms, but cynically exploit the Christian heretics for their support. https://www.catholic.com/magazine/online-edition/jews-and-the-rapture https://voiceofthefamily.com/what-should-a-catholic-think-about-the-israeli-palestinian-conflict/ https://www.catholic.com/magazine/print-edition/israel-and-the-church Also, Palestine was no more a 'wasteland' than most of that region before the arrival of the Zionist colonialists. It was just typical of the state of economy and culture of most of the world at that time. It was pre-industrial and agricultural, not unlike Ireland in those years. A significant portion of the area's population was Christian, many of them descendents of the original first Christians who had converted from Judaism. There are still many Christians remaining in what is left of the Palestinian population. The Jews executed their true Messiah partly because He had no interest in leading them to a worldly kingdom. Now, there seem to be those again calling on Him to do so. We must also not forget that this is by no means the first false messianic attempt by the Jews to establish what they perceive as their messianic birthright, a secular 'New Jerusalem'.
This is the same French military that was recently driven out of its African former colonies with its tail between its legs. In the Ukraine, they'd fold quite a bit faster than even in 1940, I suspect. Macron is a dangerous bluffer.
I totally understand what you are saying, however in the weird ideology of today, leaving colonies is a good thing and allowing Russia to win is a bad thing. I get the impression that Trump will win this november, that the US will pull out support for Ukraine at some point. That Macron will try to fill the gap left by America once it leaves. Which kind of fits prophecy.
The more I investigate the topic, the more I believe it is not cut and dry. I believe that today Israel is the Catholic church. However there are instances in prophecy where Israel does appear to refer to the Jews of today in the Holy Land.
It is plausible, but is it Christian to support genocidal slaughter on the basis of what is private prophecy that is not even Catholic-derived? The Church does warn us to beware of false prophesy.
From: https://www.lifesitenews.com/analys...deceive-americans-into-supporting-their-wars/ "How Israel uses the 'hasbara' technique to deceive Americans into supporting their wars Four decades ago, Israel began a propaganda campaign called 'hasbara' to help change the American public's perception of Israel. The strategy is now deployed to get American lawmakers to support the Israeli 'campaign' in Gaza. Tell Congress to stop the Biden administration from funding wars in Ukraine and Israel Editor's note: This is Part 2 of a three-part series. Read Part 1 here first. (LifeSiteNews) — In 1984 a propaganda campaign which continues to this day was commenced to change the American public's perception of Israel. This was the year which saw AIPAC began distributing its "college guide" to the perception of Israel on U.S. campuses, and in which the American Jewish Congress sponsored a conference. This conference recommended a concerted campaign to change the minds of Americans about Israel. Called "hasbara" in Hebrew, this was undertaken to counter the impact of the horrific images generated by Israel's 1982 war in Lebanon. The Washington Post reported in 1982 that Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin had complained of a "battle over the truth." What was the battle? Begin's government claimed only 600 civilians had been killed by Israel, whilst U.S. "intelligence officials labeled as accurate an estimate of 10,000 civilian deaths ... first received from the Lebanese ambassador to the United Nations. [Senate Foreign Relations Chairman Charles] Percy added that the 'unconfirmed' estimate may be as high as 14,000." READ: US too concerned by 'political, economic' gains, says Lebanese bishop in urgent peace plea The headline was "Numbers Game Clouds Toll in Lebanon." Israel has been playing this game ever since, denying the reality of casualty figures in its Gaza war, even as The Lancet and its own intelligence sources admit they are accurate. Lawrence Wilkerson, chief of staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell during the early 2000s, says about his experience with the Israeli regime: "I never, ever believe Israeli figures. The Israelis are patent liars. Let me say that again: They are liars." Whilst it downplays casualties, Israel also pursues the Dahiya doctrine, which "calls for the use of massive, disproportionate force and the deliberate targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure." Why is it called Dahiya? It is named after the site of a former Israeli war crime. "The doctrine is named after the Dahiya suburb of Beirut, where the Lebanese paramilitary group Hezbollah has its headquarters, which the Israeli military leveled during its assault on Lebanon in the summer of 2006 that killed nearly 1,000 civilians, about a third of them children, and caused enormous damage to the country's civilian infrastructure," the Institute for Middle East Understanding explains. This is one example of an "unpopular policy" that the use of propaganda is intended to promote. This is the purpose of "hasbara." ... (pls read the link for more)
My main point is the apparent lack of combat readiness in French ranks. Something that they conceivably share in common with the rest of NATO. Perhaps including the US, whose record of military success, in a multitude of wars, has been poor for many years. The fighting in the Ukraine is serious stuff. Can the West tolerate the returning body-bags, for starters?
I don't think we can ever support a genocidal slaughter. I know of one instance of it in the old testament, and God spoke directly to King Saul who had authority to do so. I agree, but reason and logic isn't exactly a strong suit of the west today.
Israel once again bombed Christians in Lebanon and destroyed the Church in the city of Derdghaiya, killing 5 civilians, including paramedics. They also attacked UN peacekeeping forces in Lebanon, in which several soldiers were injured, which was confirmed by the headquarters itself. And the attack was not accidental, but deliberate on several occasions. BEIRUT/JERUSALEM, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Israeli forces fired on two positions used by U.N. peacekeepers in Lebanon on Thursday and at a third one on Wednesday, the U.N. force said, as Israel warned Lebanese civilians not to return to homes in the south and pressed on with its assault on Hezbollah. The UNIFIL force said two of its peacekeepers were injured in one of the incidents, when an Israeli tank fired at a watchtower at the force's main headquarters in Naqoura, hitting the tower and causing them to fall. There were no casualties in the other two incidents, a U.N. source said. "Any deliberate attack on peacekeepers is a grave violation of international humanitarian law," UNIFIL said in a statement, adding that it was following up with the Israeli military. By the way, I read somewhere that they were attacked because supposedly the Irish are in that UN unit, and they don't like them (Ireland). Normally I wouldn't have paid attention to it, but I recently read about Jonathan Pollard, an American Jew who worked for the US National Security Agency and spied for Israel, in the process he disclosed thousands of classified documents to Israel, but also to the USSR... He was arrested and sentenced a life sentence, but Israel granted him citizenship in 1995, many lobbied for his release, which was done in 2015. Basically, he recently said that all Arabs from Gaza should be moved to Ireland for allegedly supporting Palestine. However, many Western countries such as Spain, Norway, Slovenia, Belgium support the Palestinians... Then I found quite a few articles confirming the "hostility" of Israel and Ireland even before the conflict over Gaza... Of course, everything is wrapped up in the fact that Ireland and the Irish hate Israel and the Jews and are anti-Semitic. They blame it on Catholic Church: "Historically, the Catholic church in Ireland bears a heavy responsibility for this anti-Jewish hatred. Over the years, the church has pumped out stereotypical hatred of Jews as parasitical moneylenders and exploiters of working people. " https://danielrosehill.medium.com/i...land-its-way-beyond-closing-time-89d2d18bdce8 https://www.jpost.com/opinion/article-696833 https://medium.com/@cailiansavage1/...st-anti-israel-country-in-europe-c297efff319e https://www.jpost.com/international/irelands-obsessional-hatred-of-israel-579378 Is it possible that the Irish Catholic spirit is the reason for this? DeGaulle do you know anything about this?
I absolutely think this is a likely possibility. Israel is very petty and wants to punish anyone who goes against them. Essentially Ireland committed the holocaust by not supporting Israel in their eyes.
UNIFIL confirms Israel hit three bases (ANSA) - ROME, OCT 10 - Israel on Thursday targeted three UNIFIL bases in southern Lebanon, the spokesperson of the UN mission Andrea Tenenti told ANSA. The mission includes some 1,000 Italian military personnel. Two outposts are Italian while the third hosts the mission's headquarters. Lebanese military intelligence sources told ANSA that the Israeli army on Thursday opened fire at one of the Italian bases along the demarcation line with Lebanon. The sources said the location fired at by the IDF was the UNP 1-31 base on the hill of Laboune, an area under the responsibility of the Italian contingent. According to the same sources, after an Israeli drone repeatedly flew over the base, Israeli artillery fire targeted the entrance of the bunker sheltering Italian soldiers. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/unifil-confirms-israel-hit-three-bases/ar-AA1s1Hwm So Israel is attacking both Irish and Italians in Lebanon. This gets more absurd with each passing day, Israel is out of control.
I talked to two Irish soldiers in Jerusalem who were serving in Gallilee as part of the United Nations peace keeping force. They said that all the Irish who went out there started off supporting the Israeli's, but when they actually saw what was happening out there turned against the Israeli's and supported the Palestinians. I got a shock one time at the Sea of Galillee when I walked around the corner and found a large Irish Flag flying. It was them, the UN Irish.
I couldn't claim to know much about anything. However, it is my perception that there are certain Jews, who seem to be in the driving seat at present, that hate nothing as much as they hate Christians, even as they cynically manipulate many to support them. In particular, they hate the Catholic Church and it would not surprise me if they were involved in much of the anti-Catholic hatred that spews from our mainstream media. There is also another factor. In the midst of a coalition of colonialist powers, Ireland's history is one of being colonised. Unlike the other members of the EU, Ireland knows what Palestine is being subjected to, and the grave injustice of it. Israel may fear the threat of our own witness weakening the resolve of Israel's supporters in the EU. Of course, the Jewish diatribes about hatred are simply projection. One need only study their Talmud or read of their long history of slaughtering Christians over the centuries, from Cyprus (in the second century) to the Holy Land (in the seventh century, in the Persian invasion of Palestine just prior to the rise of the Mohammedans) and onto our own time, when they murdered huge numbers of Christians as the primary cutting edge of the Bolshevik revolutions in Russia, Hungary and Bavaria, a century ago-the latter probably the atrocity that angered Hitler into devising the Holocaust, because hatred begets hatred.
They can do what they like, the Americans are facilitating them. Ireland and Italy are Catholic. As I said, there is nothing some Jews hate as much as they hate the Catholic Church. Not all of them, of course. Many of them expressed their gratitude after WWII to the Catholic Church, the only institution, along with Catholic Spain that saved a significant number of their lives. Also, Jews were only rounded up in Catholic Italy after the Germans took it over. Albert Einstein testified that the Catholic Church was the only institution in Germany that resisted Hitler. As it is said, eaten bread is soon forgotten.
…I ventured out of my daily “Garabandal Info and Answers” check in, to see if there was anything posted about the Spirit Digest site. Twice I attempted to see what was new on there, but both times the site wasn’t there, only a weird notice . So while here, I’m once again just going to toss in my unsolicited, perhaps worthless two cents. Regarding Israel; I was aware, long ago, what the prevailing view on this site was of the current ( and past) goings on there. This is my view; For most of my nearly six decades, I have been aware that Israel is the lone democracy in a part of the world dominated by countries that not only hate them and often teach their children to hate them , but harbor views that I find quite frightening. And, for decades, I have heard, read or been made aware of countless verbal and physical attacks on Israel by these surrounding countries. The prevailing train of thought here is that while some of these other countries may be run by those with barbaric views, Israel has no moral compass of their own, as they routinely launch attacks which harm civilians. My following questions are entirely rhetorical, because no one can answer them for me, definitely. 1). “Is” Israel launching attacks and needlessly harming or killing civilians in the process? Since I find the media completely biased and untrustworthy, who in the media is reporting this? Even if it’s multiple sources, are they trustworthy and giving the whole story? 2). What, exactly and specifically, is Israel supposed to do when the goal of many surrounding countries is to destroy them, and countless attempts are made in the name of that idealogy? How do you ferret out killers who hide among the masses? And do the countries that harbor these regimes and individuals bear “ any” responsibility for them? Do their citizens? …In any reporting or citing of reports I have not heard answers to any of these questions . …But what turned me off originally from any discussion on this broad matter, which I freely admit I know far from anything about, is how others who disagree to one degree or another were often summarily dismissed as foolish, in need or prayer and more. One older gentleman who was very polite to me in a private message said he refuses to post here any further because of the unnecessary hostility he faced for simply stating a viewpoint, without attacking others who disagree. I have no idea who the good guys, bad guys and suspicious players are in all things Israel. I remain an idiot. We all know there are good guys and bad guys involved, but I just dont know how anyone can post for certain who they are, in this era of ultra biased reporting. That’s my 2 cents. Now I have only 3 cents instead of a nickel in my life savings.
A friend wrote me a message... The Israelis demanded that the Irish, that is, the UN troops, withdraw a few days ago. After the attack, of the 300 or so Irish, all remained. 90 of them were on leave, all of them asked to be returned immediately at their own request... You are an incredible people , if the Irish had been in Srebrenica and the territory of the former Yugoslavia during the war instead of the Dutch, the massacre would never have happened.
I remember being at a holiday campsite in a wooded part of France years ago, when a fire broke out. Most people evacuated in an orderly fashion-it turned out not to be a major fire-but you wouldn't have seen the Dutch for dust, such was their panic.
