The Ukraine, as it was always known until very recently, is a region, not a nation, and Poland has its eyes firmly gazing on that part of it that used to belong to Poland. All these 'horrendous regimes' you mention are nowhere nearly as horrendous as the Western Empire of Sodomy and Molochism, which has desired regime change in Moscow for many years in order to implement its policies of LGBTQ in that country. In these 'horrendous regimes', children are a lot safer and a man is a man and a woman a woman. Over $100 billion of military aid has been thrown into this conflict by the USA and the results have been disastrous. The fact remains that at the Minsk Agreements in the late 1990s, Putin was clear in his request that NATO not expand eastward to the Russian border. There was a lot of the nodding of heads by NATO countries at the time. But after the revolution in Ukraine in 2015, a new government was established and the USA poured $ billions in to help construct a pro-West formidable Army. In other words, the USA, chose to apply pressure. And one other note, it was not Russia that sabotaged the gas line in the Baltic Sea, but the West. Conclusion: The West, and particularly the actions of the USA, have helped to precipitate and escalate this war as much as Russia. The best action for Catholics in my country to take at this time is to repent, pray, fast and vote against those who have continued to propagate this conflict. Period. Actually, you have a point there.. I for one haven't yet worked out yet if Russia is genuine. I do not know if it will come down on the side of good, or evil. It could well be that the Russians are in league with the West. And that this is a war designed to take the world to the very brink.
