Two Symbolic Losses in the War for Soulshttp://www.onepeterfive.com/two-symbolic-losses-in-the-war-for-souls/

The article has been removed from the website. My immediate reaction to Fr Gabriel Amorth's death was one of dismay. Then, I realized that he, and others have gone on to the next life to do more for us here. That gives me comfort.

I'm inclined to agree with some of the comments beneath the videos - that there are University Professors finally reaping what they sowed. I don't know about the Professor from Yale and his wife were teaching, but he didn't do himself any favours by pandering to the demands that he apologise for their "hurt" in not having the power to determine what others could wear at Halloween. Pandering is probably become so ingrained in them that they aren't even aware that they're doing it. I expect that they all thought they were safe in their higher education ivory towers, but the real world catches up on everyone eventually.

And if the real world doesn't catch up with someone, we all end up before the Throne of God. There is justice, eventually.

One thing he said was to blame God for the pain and suffering in the world and he did so with a certain bitterness. Worse beside him stood two apostate Catholics who are aslo atheists.

I feel as though in a dream, for when I was young I would never imagined people would turn their face away from God in such a tidal wave. The true believer is now becoming more and more uncommon. It reminds me of what Jesus said, 'When the Son of Man returns will He find Faith on the Earth?'

I wonder if this article was removed due to the possible smear of Bishop Konderla's good name. He's known as a faith-filled, conservative priest. Definitely one of the good guys. Here's an interesting article about him from earlier this summer.

Is this the great apostasy we are now living through? They say things will get so bad that even the most faithful will be tested. We need to pray that we all keep the faith. The changes are happening rapidly. Mass, Daily rosary, and sacraments to cover our soul. We will all be tested as many here on the MOG can testify....trials and tribulations abound ...just hold fast to the faith.

And pray for lost and dying souls too so that none may be lost. I've felt the call to this for some time now, and I hope that if I should ever be so wounded as to fall away from my faith, then, this same prayer by others will save me.

  10. Thank you for posting about Deacon John, Crew Dog. I read that yesterday. Powerful.

Seagrace, I have felt that call to pray for the lost and the dying, as well, for quite awhile. I agree with you.

I think it is the great apsotasy. I suppose really there are two great things we cna point to evetns in the wider world and events within the Church.

In the woder world events like the invasions of Iraq by Geroge Bush whcih has been our entrance of one of the horses of the Apocalypse the times of wars and rumours ofwars, the times of revoulions and wisepsread unrest.

I think the Great Warning Bell of Persecution for us in the Church if immediate coming persecution will be when our won spiritual leaders start to deny the Real Presnce of Christ in the Eucharist. Oh of course at first they will not come right out and say this, but they will kind of hint at it. I suspect we are already far, far down the road to this occuring.

    Padraig,
Perhaps the number one attack on God by the modernists. Once we lost respect for life, there was nothing sacred. Roe versus Wade was the line Christians should never have allowed to be crossed. We were all asleep at the wheel. Lukewarm. May God forgive us all.

The atheists think they play a trump card when they accuse God of all the suffering in the world, but apart from the absurdity of blaming someone they claim doesn't exist (how they can hate nothing), do they not realise what they are offering? If God does not exist, what solution does that offer to the problem of suffering? None, it would be just a brute, unavoidable fact, a yoke devoid of all meaning and purpose, an inevitable torture of existence.

We Christians can offer a cause, a purpose and a compensation for suffering for anyone who is willing to carry his Cross. No matter how hopeless things seem there is Hope.

The changing of the liturgy, the facing of the people by priests with its implicit turning of his back on God, the removal of the altar rails, communion in the hand, extraordinary ministers, non-existent catechesis, 'the sharing of a meal' and now approved communion for mortal sinners. God help us, the stage is well-set.

Yes it's true. But on the other hand many of us are bright eyed and bushey tailed and ready for what ever Satan may throw at us. :) I still enjoy a good fight and this looks like the biggest one of all time.

I think there may be a paranormal reality here. That some people consciously or unconsciously ar eimitating the Rebellion of the Fallen Angels.
