Its not all doom and gloom. An ending of one day is the start of another. God makes all things new.

    2 Corinthians 5:17

16Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. 17Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 18Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation,…

I dislike very, very much writing about such things. But you know all births are painful but at the end of them a new life is born into the world. We will suffer pain, yes. But there shall be great joy mixed in and the greatest joy of all at the end of our journey.

I felt very sad after posting this thread today. But then I watched the old Ingrid Bergman film of Joan of Arc. Look at all the difficulties St Joan faced for following her voices but it led her on to victory in heaven.

We too must follow the voice of the Holy Spirit and onward to victory. The night may be dark but victory will come with the morning.:)

I do not ask that anyone believe or follow me, I ask that you listen to and follow the voice of God in your hearts.

The Readings from Mass tomorrow which is the Feast of the Baptism of The Lord seem very appropriate. In the end, Justice will triumph and we are called to witness

    Reading 1IS 42:1-4, 6-7
    Thus says the LORD:
Here is my servant whom I uphold,
my chosen one with whom I am pleased,
    upon whom I have put my spirit;
he shall bring forth justice to the nations,
    not crying out, not shouting,
not making his voice heard in the street.
a bruised reed he shall not break,
and a smoldering wick he shall not quench,
    until he establishes justice on the earth;
the coastlands will wait for his teaching.

I, the LORD, have called you for the victory of justice,
    I have grasped you by the hand;
I formed you, and set you
as a covenant of the people,
    a light for the nations,
to open the eyes of the blind,
to bring out prisoners from confinement,
and from the dungeon, those who live in darkness.

    Reading 2
Peter proceeded to speak to those gathered
in the house of Cornelius, saying:
“In truth, I see that God shows no partiality.
Rather, in every nation whoever fears him and acts uprightly
    is acceptable to him.

You know the word that he sent to the Israelites
as he proclaimed peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all,
what has happened all over Judea,
beginning in Galilee after the baptism
    that John preached,
how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth
with the Holy Spirit and power.
    He went about doing good
and healing all those oppressed by the devil,
    for God was with him.”

What can I say??? I'm not criticizing padraig your intuition but I would have concerns about the manner and content of your posts this morning. I don't think it prudent to post such alarmist material without providing some context and giving some level headed spiritually mature advice. We all have jobs and responsibilities. I will not confine myself to a ghetto and abandon those who may need some guidance and support in the ensuing madness. I think Charlie Johnston has it sorted with his three point plan and it is s something that each of us in our own capacity can take on board. I am not for one moment suggestting that we not take moderate and prudent precautions in terms of making some physical provisions (and as we live in the same country I may have some proposals for you) but at this late stage most people at a push could perhaps save enough to make do for a few weeks to a Month. To be honest when I first read your posts my initial reaction was that you had been hacked. And to be frank I'm still hoping this is the case. I remember when I first joined the forum you and a few others were in a veritable tail spin thinking that our Holy Father was a false pope and were expecting a illumination of conscience by the end of october. I am not trying t o chide you nor is there any malice in what I write. I am simply making the observation that at this time we need calm level headed guidance and not panic stricken outbursts.

For what it's worth, Padraig, your posts came across as calm and level headed to me. I sensed no panic at all. Like, no panic what-so-ever. This is reality-scary to some I suppose, but not to all.

Panic was perhaps the wrong term to use. Nevertheless I don't think it prudent to make such abrupt announcements without providing more substantial clarity on the nature of such intimations however th e fruit of discernment they may be. Like I said, back in October many had written Francis of as a heretic and at worst an antichrist, and without some calm reassurance who knows what may have become of this forum.

If you read Padraig's post carefully he says he will move 'when the time is right'! That is part of the mission that has been given to him after the Mother of God Forum ceases to exist.

John Martinez spent time on this site and others revealing what he has been given in the time to come referring to the refuges that God is planning for many of the faithful to live out the Tribulation period. Some places of refuge have been determined to be your own homes. Many others will be told to pack it up an be led to other places of refuge in communities prepared by heaven. It is best to pray, stay in the state of grace and trust in our Blessed Mother for your safety and living out the will of God. I also feel it is very important to prepare for allot of death around us. Perhaps in your own family. Verne Dagenais messages make very clear that "many sprititual babies" will be taken home during this period, lest they would not make to heaven. Some may not want to talk about death. Some would rather assume they will not be touched by the purification. I will not take anything for granted and will not look back as Lot's wife did if asked to give it all up and move in another direction other than what I am preparing for at this time. I think what Padraig started this thread for is to address the reality of the Storm affecting this site and the whole internet. I look at it as a reminder of the 10 bridesmaides, 5 were ready and 5 were not when the day of the Lord comes. Like a good bridesmaid (0r groom), Padriag is just making sure you have enough oil for your lamps during this upcoming journey and don't look back and say, would of , should of, could of.

I think we, all of us have a kind of reality fuse and when we think of certain things we want to switch off. For instance sometimes I like to think of my retirement and pension and how much more time I will spend praying in places such as in front of the Blessed Sacrament (where I could sit all day). This I find a very enjoyable passtime, I suppose most people my age like to think of sitting beside some forest lake with a fishing rod in their hands or what ever.

Then I do a double take and realise my reality fuse has gone and for me and others there will simply be no peaceful feet up retirement. It is a bit like been plunged in a little cold water bath.

However consider how much worse it would be , when the big cold water bath itself comes if we have not at least acknowledged to ourselves that all that we see around us is coming to a close.

Look around you at nature take even the squirrels. They see when winter is coming, they read the time of the seasons and make preparations. How much more should we, who read the times and seasons in the Heart of God?

What I right about is scarey yes , I agree. However it is I believe much less scarey than what the Queen of Heaven , the Mother of God has told us herself. On at least two occasions causing visionaries, children, to actually scream when witnessing the foretold events.

Our Lady of Kibeho- The heavenly warnings that went unheeded with tragic consequences
    [IMG]
The Rwandan Genocide in 1994 that Mary warned of 12 years before
Our Lady of Kibeho—The heavenly warnings that went unheeded with tragic consequences
Beginning on November 28, 1981, the Blessed Virgin Mary (and later Jesus) chose to appear at regular intervals to a group of teenagers in the rural countryside of Kibeho, Rwanda, giving them urgent heavenly messages intended to be shared throughout the country and the entire world. Because of the great importance of the alleged heavenly messages, the Church immediately began investigating the visionaries and the messages, and on June 29, 2001, the local Bishop formally and officially approved the events pertaining to three of the visionaries.

At the beginning of the events, the initial messages all came from the Virgin Mary, and they were full of her love for her children here on Earth. Early on, the content of the messages was often instructional, providing spiritual direction and guidance for people to live more devout lives, repent of their sins and reject sinful temptations, so as to draw closer to God. Mary's instructions for humanity included urging everyone to pray the rosary every day to ward off evil; and for all people to open their hearts to one another, and to help one another.
Soon however, some of the Virgin Mary's messages began to contain frightening predictions of war, catastrophes, and corruption that She said the world would be facing in the coming years. She gave the young visionaries terrifying glimpses into a future in which people's hearts would be dominated by hatred instead of love, and where the planet would be torn apart by wars of religion, failed economies, collapsing governments and natural disasters.

The Rwandan Genocide--The prediction of “a river of blood”
But amidst the messages of encouragement to repentance and love of neighbor there was one very significant message that seemed to be the most important of all the Blessed Virgins messages; in 1982 the Blessed Virgin specifically predicted the horrible 1994 genocide--12 years before it occurred. She said that "a river of blood" would flow across Rwanda unless the Rwandan people stopped harboring hatred and animosity for each other, and instead would need to turn their hearts with love and brotherly charity towards one another. And on August 19, 1982, the seers saw “a river of blood, people who were killing each other, abandoned corpses with no one to bury them, a tree all in flames, bodies without their heads.”
At that time this vision and the Blessed Virgin Mary’s prophecy seemed completely unrealistic to most, even though it is true that the Rwandan’s have a very long history of tribal feuds and the animosity amongst the different tribes and social groups has always been a significant problem for the country. What the Virgin Mary soon began to plead for is for the people to abandon this hatred based on tribal affiliations, and to see all of their fellow Rwandans’ as brothers. She strongly encouraged all peoples to have a love and concern for others centered and based on the love and mercy of Her Son, Jesus. And by practicing this love, She said the looming civil war and bloodshed could be averted. Sadly, too few Rwandans heeded Our Lady's advice, and the country descended into madness, mayhem, and murder, just as She had predicted. If they had only listened to the Virgin Mary's warnings when She appeared in Kibeho, the bloody genocide never would have happened!
Our Lady of Kibeho holding a Rosary
The Holy Rosary—The instrument through which the genocide could have been averted
Through her visionaries, the Blessed Mother urged all Rwandans to seek Her help to embrace Christ's love and forgiveness. She said that the surest and best way to accomplish this was by praying the rosary every day. The Virgin Mary said that the rosary was one of the most powerful tools in the world to defend us against temptation and evil. She pleaded with everyone to pray the rosary at least once a day, no matter what religion they belonged to, and promised all who did would receive special spiritual graces and blessings.

Jesus warning 12 years before the genocide
Along with the Blessed Virgin, Jesus Himself also appeared many times to the visionaries at Kibeho, urging the people to repent of their sins and to seek to live virtuous lives. Like the Blessed Virgin Mary, He also warned of a bloody civil war that would soon occur if the people did not change their tribal/sectarian animosity for one another. During an apparition 12 years before the genocide, Jesus had shown Segatashya (one of the alleged visionaries) images of homes in flames and people being hacked to pieces by killers armed with machetes. The Lord told Segatashya that this was what would happen if people continued to sin and to hate one another. When the bloody genocide gripped Rwanda, Segatashya himself was shot by a death squad.
A summary of what occurred during the genocide
Throughout the course of 100 days from April 6 to July 16 1994, approximately 800,000 Rwandan Tutsis and some moderate Hutus were massacred in the Rwandan genocide. During this period, more than 6 men, women and children were murdered every minute of every hour of every day. This incredible rate of killing was maintained for more than 3 months. Along with the intense bloodshed, it is believed that approximently 250,000 women were raped during the 100 days of genocide (a precise count is such circumstances is impossible) and roughly 30% of the women who were raped during the genocide were infected with HIV/AIDS. In many cases, this resulted from a systematic and planned use of rape by HIV+ infected men as a weapon of terror and future genocide. There were 10 times as many widows(women) than widowers (men) with almost 50,000 widows, and there were approximately 75,000 children who were orphaned as a result of the genocide.

    Rwandan Genocide
The Rwandan genocide is a warning and a precursor to what could come to all of humanity
Yet, the warnings of the Blessed Virgin Mary were not just for Africa. For She told the seer Marie-Clare Mukangango : "When I tell you this, I am not addressing myself strictly to you, child, but I am making this appeal to the world. Today, man empties things of their true value. Those who are continually committing sins are doing so without any acceptance that what they are doing is wrong."
Like Segatashya, sadly Marie-Clare Mukangango too was also killed during the genocide. She said the Virgin described the world as “being in revolt against God” and that the world “is on the edge of catastrophe.” And in yet another message to the seers we are told: “ The world hastens to its ruin, it will fall into the abyss… The world is rebellious against God, it commits too many sins, it has neither love nor peace. If you do not repent and do not convert your hearts, you will fall into the abyss."

Heaven warned of the bloody genocide if the Rwandan’s did not change their hearts—they did not, and 12 years later they suffered unspeakable horrors. In Kibeho and elsewhere in recent times, Jesus and Mary have been warning ALL of us that we must change our hearts—we must be converted and repent of our sins—or we too will suffer unspeakable horrors as a result and consequence of our sins and our hard hearts. Are we listening, or have we not learned from the tragic events in Rwanda?

    Fatima,

I too am praying for discernment at this time. Though my precious Geralyn and I have made some practical preparations, I think we need to ask God for which individuals we need to be watchmen (post #33). I believe I can no longer delay in this responsibility because a number of supports on which we all stand will be cut down this year. As Jesus said, "Repent and believe the good news!"

    Easier said then done.:barefoot:

    Dear Padraig,
First, blessings of the new year. I thank you for being a sentinel to us, and giving us your thoughts on what is to come. I too believe that we will soon be facing a pivotal moment in our salvation. My discernment from this visceral feeling, is to prepare for what is to come, not in a material way, but in a spiritual way. In my prayers, I feel that I need to get my soul in order, because whatever is to happen, will happen soon.

Yes actually we are not the only ones thinking along these lines. If you look for instance at Mark Mallet and Charlie Johnston, well they seem to be writing with the same urgency. Also as others have commented even people who are not believers at all seem often to have the strong sense that something , 'Is going down'. How any thoughtful person who looks at the world around us and not feel us surrounded by huge dangers at the moment is a puzzle to me. But then again , its true people believe what they want to.

I agree that spiritual preparation is at the centre of all, for as Jesus said,

    Mark 8:36

What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?

    Also:

    Matthew 6:33

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well
    .

...and we have His wonderful promise that He knows our needs and will take care of them:

    Matthew 6:28

    Do Not Worry
27"And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? 28"And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, 29yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.…

I have not up to recently been much into making material preparations. In the first place because I have no family to take care of, only the tow dogs. :D Even when I did try a little like growing things and storing tins away I could never take much interest in it. It all seemed so unreal and far apart from daily life. In either case I am not the most practical person in the world and could not take my own efforts too seriously. Neither had they seen them would I suppose have anyone else.:ROFLMAO:

However there was always in the back of my mind this thought. That when the hour drew a little closer I would get a little tap in the shoulder telling me to get my act together and speed things up. So it has proved; I have got the little tap , I am speeding things up and in Charity I am sharing with those I love , like those on the forum, that such is the case so that they to have at least a chance to get their house in order and the wheels in motion.

If it were only a matter of saving myself I still don't think I could summon a lot of energy. But in the first place I am simply doing as I am told/warned to and in the second place I understand that by helping myself I will help others . So I am doing my best. Maybe not a very good best , but yes I am trying.

I would encourage everyone who reads this to try to. I recall the words of St Teresa of Avila (whose five hundredth anniversary occurs this year):

    Christ Has No Body

Christ has no body but yours,
No hands, no feet on earth but yours,
Yours are the eyes with which he looks
    Compassion on this world,
Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good,
Yours are the hands, with which he blesses all the world.
Yours are the hands, yours are the feet,
Yours are the eyes, you are his body.
Christ has no body now but yours,
No hands, no feet on earth but yours,
Yours are the eyes with which he looks
    compassion on this world.
Christ has no body now on earth but yours.
