Famine is one of the Four Horses of the Apocalypse. It must be tied into drought, although famine is probably tied into the manipulation of the Deep State. But yes, I agree with you that it is on a world-wide scale now. Good observation.

Interesting question.. I know some bits and pieces of Climatology - but never the whole nine..

Droughts (which contribute to Famine) are as the opposite of the Flood in the days of Noah which 'covered' much/most/all of this planet..

Our Lord Jesus forewarned us of how things shall be as Earth's events move nearer toward the End.

Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.

Earthquakes generally associate with Volcanic activity which can reduce the level of Solar Irradiation reaching Earth's surface - just as a large cloud would do - aka "cooling"

I know that COLD climates can bring in desertification for reason of lack of rainfall due to more water is now locked up in the form of Ice, and doesn't become rain clouds

We've had drought and heat in some areas .. and Flooding in others.

Some speculate that this Winter shall be Colder than 'usual'..

    I don't know.

YES.. There's been serious flooding in many parts of the world..
I don't know how much of that is covered in domestic news reports.
This link gives a general idea,,,

We had flooding in places very close by but it didn't affect us personally. It was amazing all the rain we got a couple days ago! We had to take the whole family out in it to close on our house sale, and my tennis shoes were instantly soaked through by the torrents running across the parking lot. We needed it; it hadn't rained here all summer long!

This is a great tomato batch. Glad you have lots of tomatoes. We have a better batch this year than most. Good idea to dehydrate onions and peppers. You can always add them to Sloppy Joes.
My old French teacher said that you can blanche tomatoes, remove the skin, and then put them into freezer bags and freeze them. I haven't done it, but maybe there are a few members out there who need this info.
    Good work, Katfalls.

Yes that method works very well--especially for stews and soups. Or stewed tomatoes which are up on the list of comfort foods.:)

Europe's drought the worst in 500 years - report https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-62648912

The latest report from the Global Drought Observatory says 47% of the continent is in "warning" conditions, meaning soil has dried up.

Another 17% is on alert - meaning vegetation "shows signs of stress".

Compared with the average of the previous five years, EU forecasts for harvest are down 16% for grain maize, 15% for soybeans and 12% for sunflowers.

The ongoing heatwave and water shortages have "created an unprecedented stress on water levels in the entire EU", Research Commissioner Mariya Gabriel said.

The report warned that nearly all of Europe's rivers have dried up to some extent.

Apart from the obvious impact on boats, dry rivers are also hitting the energy sector, which is already in crisis. Hydroelectric power has dropped by a significant 20%, according to the report.

The report warns that the situation is worsening in countries including Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Romania, Hungary, northern Serbia, Ukraine, Moldova, Ireland and the UK.

The researchers' stark warning follows rapidly-sinking river levels across Europe which have exposed relics of the past - including so-called "hunger stones" warning of potential famine and the sunken remains of World War Two Nazi ships.

And in the UK, which had an official drought declared in several regions,
some trees have turned an autumnal shade of auburn - in what's considered a "false autumn" due to the heat.

Not much. Per the website "https://factsanddetails.com/" on China:
Since historians began keeping records in 602 B.C., the river has changed course 26 times and produced 1,500 floods that have killed millions of people. The root of these disasters is the large amount of silt generated by soil erosion.

In the past, the Chinese have repeatedly tried to dam the Yellow River to reduce the damage caused by flooding with little success. Also there have been periods where the river ran dry:
The Yellow River has dried up more than 30 times since 1972, when it ran dry for the first time in recorded history. It ran dry all but one year in the 1990s. In 1994, it ran dry for 122 days along a 180-mile section in Shandong, not far from where it empties into the Yellow Sea. In 1996 it ran dry 136 days. In 1997, for 226 days, denying water to 7.4 million acres of farmland and producing a dry riverbed that stretched more than 372 miles. The outflow o the river is just 10 percent of what t was in the 1940s. Timely releases of reservoir water kept it from drying up in the 2000s.

Currently, there are 20 major dams currently on the Yellow River and another 18 are scheduled to be built by 2030.

So the Yellow River has been receding and flooding as long as man has lived on it. it's just some periods are more recent and more devastating than the others.
