We were brought to Montana for a specific reason that I would rather not expand on over the internet. We know this. We also know that we need to get specific projects done but the money for them trickles in and its difficult for us, but not for God--because he is rich! We have received many items for an 800sf apt. which is on our property through donation, craigslist for free, or people simply saying, "do you know someone who needs this?" All has been through God's providential grace. The apt. is important because of the coming events. It doesn't have insulation or electricity completely hooked up, and the plumbing needs to be finished etc. All tho its a slow boat, we see God's action in it. I have been feeling very strongly that we NEED to get the apt. finished... In my dream last night I saw that I took my car into get it checked. I had paid for new rotors for the brakes and new brake pads. The new mechanic said, "Look at this", and showed me a substandard rotor. The place I had originally taken the car in to get brakes a month ago is usually a good place, at least the Owner Bill is. My angel told me, "The mechanic that put on your rotors a month ago is buying on the black market substandard rotors, this is very dangerous." "You are going to take the mechanic to court and you will win. This is how you will pay for the apt." I questioned the angel. "But Bill is honest, I hate to ruin his business, he has been very kind to us." The angel said, "Bill is honest, he will not be affected. His mechanic is licensed and bonded and he will have to pay." "Many people are receiving substandard parts for their cars and this can put their lives in danger." I woke up absolutely sure I was to do this. I have discussed this with my husband and put it in his lap (thats what I do--since he is the one who makes this kind of decision...kinda like my spiritual director...) He will pray about it at Mass today. Isn't that something? I have had many, many dreams and they seem to come true. My kids do to. Does anyone have any OTHER interpretation on this ???
Personally, I do not feel this is the Spirit of our God. To sue for profit is not of God. If I have a problem with my "brother", I am to bring it to him. If he does not listen, then take it to his boss. If his boss does not listen, you take it to small claims court to recover what it is you were cheated of. But to seek more damages then what was done to you does not seem like the Spirit of God.
_________________________________________________ BUSINESSMAN IN FIGHT OF HIS LIFE DETAILS HIS LIFE-SAVING VISION OF THE VIRGIN MARY www.spiritdaily.com He was on the ropes. He was millions in debt. A huge corporation was trying to take his patent, ruin his company, and break him legally. His marriage was full of tension. He wore a pattern on his kitchen floor, pacing. So desperate was Louis P. Saia III that he thought of stalking the executives trying to break him. There was nothing left for him and his wife (even his lawyers were dropping him) and he was so beside himself with anxiety -- an upheaval he describes as nearly worse than if a loved one died -- that he could think of nothing to do but put on his running shoes and try to run it off. The legal battle -- a true struggle against Goliath -- is detailed in an article that we linked to yesterday. But there was also an incredible spiritual element. Indeed, Saia's life and marriage and business were saved, as it turns out, by an apparition of the Virgin Mary. It was March 17, 1996, that Saia, of Houma, Louisiana, who operates Pallet Reefer Company, came to the end of his rope, and began running down a gravel road. He was not a religious man -- Catholic, yes, but the kind who thought nothing of missing Mass. That was about to dramatically change. After dispelling the violent thoughts -- getting rid of what he now perceives as having come from the devil -- he jogged near his home. "I began to run, and I get about 600 feet down this road and the road turns," he says of that fateful day. "When you make the turn, about 300 feet, is a little office building where we conducted the business that we were all fighting over [an invention for a new shipping container]. And I see someone on the porch. I was thinking, that's my secretary. I wondered why she'd be there on a Sunday. When I got about thirty feet at an angle, I look up to wave to my 'secretary,' but it's not her.On the porch, hands in prayer, is a woman with a white linen veil and a white gown. My thought was, gee, now I'm hallucinating. I rub my eyes and I'm still jogging and getting closer and I shake my head and now I'm 15 feet away -- and this time when I look, not only do I see her, with her hands in prayer, but I see a little bit of hair coming out from her veil and it's blowing in the breeze. "I see her eyebrows, I see the wrinkles on her gown, and her eyes -- which were very blue. Blue, blue, blue. A blue like I've never seen. Her hair was a light brown, like a chestnut brown. She was dressed in clothes like women wore in Jerusalem 2,000 years ago. She was rather short, about 5'3", and I got scared -- too close and I was seeing too much. I decide that I'm going to run past the porch as fast as I can, and that's what I did. I was scared. When I got directly across from the porch -- she was looking straight out -- I looked as I ran past and her eyes hit me and I was stopped cold in my tracks." Now he was looking at her from only 12 feet away, and her eyes, her incredible eyes, were touching his. From them came a wave of love unlike any he had ever felt. "I mean, my mother loves me and my wife loves me but it wasn't even comparable, it wasn't an iota as compared to the kind of love I felt from her," says Louis, who spoke to Spirit Daily yesterday and has also presented his testimony at church meetings. "Her love, the compassion in her eyes: if you took all the mothers in the whole city of New Orleans and you bottled up their love for their children, maybe that doesn't even come close. "I didn't get on my knees. I wasn't very religious. She looked like a holy person, and I just stood there and she read my mind. Her face was not smiling and wasn't frowning. It was serious. We were eye to eye and she says, 'I am praying to protect you.' The thing she says was not only the answer to my problem at that point in time, but an answer to my life. She says, 'Just have faith in my Son Jesus.'" That simple. That direct. "All these Harvard lawyers and Yale lawyers made my problem so complex, with the business situation, and she solves the business situation but more importantly the situation of losing my life from dying from stress and also my eternal life with one sentence: Just have faith in my Son Jesus." Now Saia knew who she was -- the Mother of God -- and felt drawn like a magnet. The aroma of roses was so pervasive he could taste it in his saliva. "I walked up to her, not even thinking, and when I got close, she looked as human as anyone," says Louis. "After looking at her, I decided I want to touch her. I moved to do that and when I went to touch the bottom part of her arm, I realized that my hand would go through and I backed off. I had leaned forward and my eyes were four or five inches from her and that's when I could see through her, like translucent, you could still see the linen, but it was like liquid, and I backed off one arm's length, and when I did, she looked again like she was as much flesh as we are -- as human as anyone -- and that's when I decided I needed to get on my knees and pray, so I got on my knees and prayed the Hail Mary. And when I opened my eyes, she was gone." But in the meantime, like a light switch, Saia had gone from the worst despair in his life -- a despair so bad he says that "death would have been welcome" -- to the best moment in his life. "It happened in a matter of a second," says the businessman. "The peace that I felt -- not only was there no panic, but I had never felt the joy and peace in my entire life like I felt then. And it wasn't leaving." Indeed, soon after, when his wife saw him, she couldn't believe the transformation. He looked 15 years younger. Incredibly enough, from total misfortune, from abandonment by his lawyers, from what appeared to be sure defeat -- with a huge corporation taking away his invention, and leaving him bankrupt -- he went on to a miraculous victory, a victory so dramatic that it was featured in a national business magazine. We'll get to that next: the incredible intercession right there in a courtroom and a remarkable ray of light that changed everything and against all odds allowed him to defeat Goliath. THIS IS THE WHOLE STORY--WORTH READING!!! IN A BUSINESS MAGAZINE NO LESS! [see Business Week article]
Who said I wasn't taking him to small claims court? Help me understand how bringing Evil to light and saving others lives is bad. Help me understand how a David and Goliath situation is something that is construed as bad. We are blessed to have a court system that 'sometimes' is fair and balanced. I hardly want to mess with someone who is dealing in the black market and put my family in harms way without getting the authorities in on it. If this is the spirit of God, and my angel speaking to me, when and how do I have the responsibility to obey and be obedient to them? I know when one lives in the Divine Will--it is better to have obeyed than not! I don't have dreams very often, but when I do, they are powerful. This is a good conversation for all of us to have. Because it IS HARD to discern and go forward. It is hard to see how things will turn out and that frightens us. It takes a lot of trust to go forward with Divine promptings. I could give you 1000 times I have gone forward in trust and was amazed and filled with joy that I was obedient to God because things turned out better than I ever expected or could have imagined. As I said, we are in the prayer stages in this.
Wow, what a story, mothersuperior! You know, whenever I hear stories like this, it seems that God provides just enough for what you need. Oftentimes not a penny more, but just enough. If this does come about, it will be interesting to see if that is what happens with you. When you have a dream like that, how can you believe it is anything else? You may be saving lives if you do expose someone who is doing wrong to people. That may be the bigger thing, not just the money you need, but the people that could be hurt "down the road". That may be the real "plan" of God.
It's true that St Paul warned that we shouldn't go dragging fellow Christians to court. However, this was when the Church was very, very small and tightly knit and it would have eeb neasy for a small Church group to arbitrate over such issues. The Church has no mechanisms I know of to deal with a bad mechanic. So I don't see a problem with bringing him , or anyone to court. God asks us to love our brothers and sisters, He never asked us to be doormats. I think its wonderful to have dreams so specific as this. I have dreams to obut they are not issue specific as this. I had a curious one two or three weeks ago in which I was in a big discussion with..of all things...a group of Chinese folks! Don't ask me what it was about ...I do think when we sleep our Spirit often travels....
padraig...you asked...I will answer. This dream is from a demon. You should not sue...and know if you do...it will end badly. In your statement of the dream this is what through up red flags. You state "you are going to take the mechanic to court and you will win...this is how you will pay for the apt". Sooo...the motivation is for personal gain...right? If it is simple to rectify a wrong...why don't address the mechanic directly...tell him your accusation and then proceed to see what corrective answer transpires. Why would you sue for personal gain. Be honest and upfront and demand no compensation above and beyond what you spent out of your own pocket. Otherwise...you have fallen into the demons trap and you will be held accountable before Gods good justice. Pray for conversion of that "bad mechanics" heart and God will reward you not with money but heavenly treasure called "grace".
This is the first time I have looked at my thread since I posted. What a controversy I have stirred up!! First off, I agree with Padraig. I used to write a consumer rights column as an assistant Editor of an Officer's Wives Magazine. I also have been asst. director to two Better Business Bureaus; I know what scams are and I know they are all over the place. If they are not stopped by SOMEONE they continue to the next guy. Secondly, my husband and I already discerned that this is not a dream I want to follow through with, because I had gotten a jury summons in the mail the week before I think I subconsciously had that in my mind. Luckily I have a husband who kindly helps me discern. He actually went out and tested the car brakes and found nothing wrong. HAD HE FOUND SOMETHING WRONG, we would have taken it to an expert and gone from there--we are not dummies--we actually go through steps to discern. Thirdly, our apt. is not JUST a place to obtain money. It is a place that God has provided that is going to house those that come. That is all I am going to say to that...We are not charging one dime for it. Its been shown to us that it is in need of finishing SOON! Fourthly, my dreams all my life have been important to me. It is a gift of God to receive 'actual grace' which shows me what I am to do in an exact situation and exactly what to say etc. This is the will of God. I have had dreams of finding things other people have lost, people whom I am going to meet, places I am going to go etc. These are gifts. I simply put up this dream because it was interesting and I wanted to share. I failed to say I was going to discern it at length tho before I certainly did anything! Fifth- It is a fool who allows others to use them and abuse them. Even Fr. Corapi who was going to have heart surgery was contacted by the FBI and was told his Cardiologist was a scam artist. He, with the help of the FBI was wiretapped and caught the Cardiologist in the scam and then Fr. Corapi sued. HE ALMOST WENT UNDER THE KNIFE BECAUSE OF THE SCAM ARTIST! There were many who DID go under the knife! So, quit jumping the gun. I'm no fool, except for Christ.
"I'm no fool, except for Christ". No...you are no "fool"...you are a blessed daughter of the Most High and my sister in Christ...peace!
One thing the TOurist Board here tells us is that people in Ireland do not complain enough. It is because of this the food in restraunts and hotels and the service can be awful, so they encourage us to complain. I must admit I don't find it easy to complain, we were taught as kids to sit quite and shut up and its hard for me to break the habit. But I admire folks who can make their point without exploding. An art.
