I get hit with a feeling I'm going to hell which disturbs me. I'm doing my best to follow Jesus. I dont know why I'm getting these feelings.
I still find it hard to believe that ones who have knowledge and fear of hell would not go there unless they commit mortal sins and have no remorse or repentance of those. Keep fighting the good fight and tell Satan to GO TO HELL when he plants those thoughts in there.
When we don't know why certain things are happening I think we are drinking His Chalice to the dregs. I think of Jesus when He said, 'My God, my God why have you forsaken me?' Yet at once after He goes on to say, 'But you Oh God are Holy; Enthroned on the Praises of Israel!' These words have very often been a huge comfort to me in times of Great Darkness when my own balloon seemed to have burst. Jesus here seems to the very last ebbs of Faith and so He rests like a little baby on the Faith of the People of God. The Faith of Others to sustain Him. Sometimes too I think of the terrible words of St Therese of Liseaux as she lay dying, 'I never knew it was possible to suffer so much! Never! Never! Never!' She also asked that her medication never be left close to her in case she succumb to the temptation to kill herself by OD'ing on them. Now that's suffering.
I'm going through the same thing as you , in despair all day. I've been out on medication, on the phone to priests all the time. I can't cope at all. Think I'm damned . Your not alone , suffering with you, trying to cling onto the first five Saturdays I've done xxx
Sounds as if the evil one is after your thoughts.. rebuke him and ignore the thoughts and ask the Blessed Mother to cover you in her mantle and the Precious Blood to cover you also. You're doing something right if the evil one is hanging around bothering you..
Sometimes it helps just to think in the "here and now" until it passes. Thinking about Our Lady & St. John at foot of The Cross, pretending to hold their hands and remembering/knowing "this too shall pass" can be a help.
Satanic attack. No other explanation in my opinion. For one who loves Jesus this is the deepest suffering. It is the agony in the garden in a sense. Almost. Prayers ongoing.
God is either very happy with me or very unhappy with me. I dont know which. I'm trying my best overall
Thanks again for prayers all I can see is darkness and desolation and my own sin. I hope this will pass and that Jesus can help me. I will be at mass tomorrow morning for Our Lady's birthday
Thanks HH and garabandal. I went to mass tonight and am feeling a little better now thank God. I keep telling Jesus, mary and God that I love them.
