I had an experience once where I got an alarming text from a friend who is an alcoholic, and has been for 40 years. The text was a sort of a suicidal cry for help text and I replied, " I'm coming over Ill be there in 10 minutes." I rushed over to his house, (it was a house I owned but he was renting it from me). I took with me my little dog Louie, a Cavalier. When I arrived, I tried to help my friend but his mood was such that I became frightened of him. He was depressed, disanimated and quiet, but I knew that he was not expressing all that he was thinking and there was an air of deception about him, also. He has a narcissistic personality, so he can be incredibly manipulative, and frankly, dangerous. I had never seen him suicidal before this, but of course, anyone who struggles with addiction can descend in to utter despair, and he was pretty low. Then my little dog Louie went accross the lounge and over to the entrance to the empty kitchen. Louie could see something in the kitchen though there was no one there, and Louie was growling at whatever it was. I could sense that Louie was sensing a presence and I decided rightly or wrongly that the something was an evil spirit which was in the house and was trying to tempt my friend with suicide. I was frightened and could not stay - I was frightened of my friend, not the spirit itself. I was afraid for my safety as of course the evil spirit could have suggested violence against me to him. I gave him some of an anti anxiety PRN medication that his Doctor had prescribed for him and I excused myself, took my wee dog, and went home. The medication calmed him and helped him to sleep and when he awoke the next day he felt incrementally better, he told me. After he moved out, I had the house blessed. He is still alive today and has since shown some signs of wanting to convert - actually revert, as he is a baptised cradle Catholic.
My father did commit suicide 32 yrs ago in our family basement. My aunt who was a sister of Immaculate Heart of Mary was helping my mom by washing clothes in the basement a few days after his death. She was taken over by illness severely at a moments notice and had to run out the back door. Outside she was fine. Extremely shook up but fine.
Have any of your dogs shown behavior like this padraig? Do you think they are able to sense things we can not?
You have great charity and courage reaching out like this; an example. I'm not saying that in all cases of addition demons are involved but I believe in some they are.
Sometimes I find myself almost afraid to ask questions. Prayers for your fathers soul. As Padre Pio used to say, there is always hope, always hope, with God there is always hope.
One , yes I had a beautiful German Shepherd called , 'Bandit'. I used to walk him regularly round a local park called, 'The Waterworks'. There are two bridges on the walk and one morning to my surprise he would not cross the bridge no matter how I coaxed him. Eventually I had to put him on the led and really drag him across. I was puzzled at his strange behaviour as he had never acted like this before. But I found out later someone had had committed suicide by hanging themselves of the bridge one or two nights before.
Thank you so much. My dad was such a good man and a wonderful Catholic. He developed a gambling addiction when my mom fell ill. Bookies were pressuring him i found out later. My momma went into a coma a few days after His funeral. I know with all my heart that my mother who died 6 weeks after my dad on july 6 1986, St Maria Goretti's day, offered herself to God for his soul. My family seems cursed. So many deaths from drugs, alcohol, and addiction in all forms. I do not worry about my dads soul too much because i know he was not in his right mind at the time. Ive lost 2 brothers and a nephew to accidental drug overdoses. I mentioned before about it. My son is sober 8 years and my daughter ckean from heroin over a year .always need your prayers! Thank u so much
So many huge Crosses!! You and your family have certainly been in the Wars. I will certainly keep praying.
I do as well. I lived in an older rented home when newly married in a small fishing town that began to have a lot of physical poltergeist activity in it. At that time we owned a cat who showed very similar behavior to the video (minus the barking of course) before things became serious there. I was often gone then, I was a fisherman in Alaska at the time and would be gone for months. My wife told me that when I left things were fine and she never felt uneasy there on her own. But, when I returned things would start happening in the house. Lest you think it was just my imagination she witnessed these things also it just seemed to subside when I left for some reason.
When I was little my mom was cooking and she said our dog started chasing a cat through the kitchen. She thought to herself "how'd a cat get in here", then it ran straight through a cupboard and disappeared. She said she was glad that the dog saw it, too, because she'd have doubted her sanity otherwise, lol.
Children under a certain age can also see the unseen it is believed. I remember I was with my young nephew out in the garden, alone, and he pointed in to thin air and said "Who's that?" At the time whenever he saw someone new he would ask that question. There was nobody there in the garden except the two of us. Perhaps he was seeing an angel or something.
Cats can also be strange. I am not sure if they are as they say in Ireland, 'Fey' (that they can see things we can't) but I notice them sometimes as though following things I could never see. But I suppose it is possible that their eye sight is much better than ours and they are following a very small flie or such like. But it is erriee to watch.
I often hear strange stories of babies goings on. There was a story I heard a few years back about parents who had an intercom set up beside their babies crib in case the baby cried. They heard their three year old son say to the bay, 'Tell me about heaven; I'm starting to forget!'
What a persistent soul you possess. You've endured unspeakable tragedy and I think that you are that person that Anne Catherine Emmerich mentions in her revelations. She said that each family is granted a member who is given the grace to faithfully carry and practice the riches of Catholicism. You have a heavy burden made lighter by grace. I will complain less thanks to your example, Agnes.
My cat does this. She sees something I do not, and I think it is a good thing that she sees. She can also be a perfect brat so don’t think she’s all holy.
There are a thing in our eyes caled, @Floaters'. They are the blood vessels in the back of the eye and we sometimes see them as objects. So we call them, 'Floaters' . They seem to float about. Some people say it ould be them. Perhpas sometimes, but not always.
