Does no one see the ebola threat

Nass pointed to a poster the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention quietly released on its Web site saying the deadly virus can be spread through “droplets.”

“Droplet spread happens when germs traveling inside droplets that are coughed or sneezed from a sick person enter the eyes, nose or mouth of another person,” the poster states.

 

Who to trust?

 

I agree with Jon that news of Ebola is not under-reported.
But I also agree with Al - if he means that the statistics (ie number of current fatalities and spread of Ebola) is not accurately being assessed.

I don't see how a hugely over-stressed and stretched Public health "admin" in 3rd World Countries (and in rural areas at that) can be credibly guaranteed to be up with the play even if they were honest.
Its going to be hit and miss re paperwork and wholistic case reporting at best.
I have seen error estimates suggested of, from memory, more than 30% of reported stats.

The other thing is the damage done to those who "survive".
The BBC reports on my Tablet for the last 4 months have always ended with a brief summary of Ebola symptoms and prognosis.
That always included "central nervous system damage."

So what sort of nerve damage (and what % of survivors suffer such damage?)
If you can find something on the Net please link it here 'cos I cannot find out as yet.

 

I really need to hop in here and tell everyone in the US that it is influenza season. If you are against taking a flu vaccine, at least bolster your immune system with Lipo Spheric Vitamin C and a good Probiotic. The bulk of the immune system is in your gut. We wipe out the good flora with processed junk type food. If you are not eating hormone free, grass fed and organic products.....your gut is a mess. So put the focus on a good Probiotic and the best absorbed Vitamin C product out there short of IV Vitamin C.....

No, definitely take it but some people don't like to put foreign things in their bodies. I get it. Then bolster
