Great thread title. Perfectly accurate. If the G20 goals are anything like the current US administrations aspirations they will all be infighting and sabotaging each other at every turn before long anyway.
Apparently the computer models predicting catastrophic climate change do not take into account. 1. The true impact of cloud cover. At any one time two thirds of the earth is covered in clouds. 2. Impact of solar phenomenon such as coronal mass ejections 3. Impact of galactic cosmic rays 4. Heat from beneath the earth's crust, which varies. 5. Volcanic activity. 6. Natural factors such as ocean cycles So the models are clearly flawed. There is no such thing as climate science. It is much too complicated to predict. So many variables at work and it's clear there is an atheistic Godless agenda behind this scaremongering.
I am afraid this Global Warming thingy has turned into a kind of Modern Religion. Not only a Religion but a kind of Fundamentalist Religion founded on blind Faith. I can and have talked about Religion with people from a variety of Faiths with Peace and Tranquility with no desire to Throttle them or them me. But I would be a lot more careful in discussing the issues involving Global Warming with its adherents. I would be a, 'Climate Denier' and thus, PART OF THE PROBLEM. A kind of Demon walking , some kind of Alter Trump. I noticed tonight on a news bulletin about the Conference in Glascow they speak about some recent bad weather events as due to climate change. It sounds like an obvious thing to say but the weather is not the climate, they are two different things. We have had bad weather events since forever and they could not all have been down to , 'Climate Change.'. I notice when poor deranged Greta Thunberg arrived in Glascow she was mobbed as some kind of saint, saviour and Prophet. The Pope treated her pretty much the same way when she visited him in Rome. To me she seems simply like someone badly in need of help and not getting it. The very worst thing you can do for such a poor infortunate is to treat her as some kind of Joan of Arc.
It is so sad. No one dare say that the extreme weather that is upon us and even more extreme weather that is coming is a Chastisement on account of our many sins. Oh no, it is because of too much carbon. Very,very,very sad.
Even if we grant that their premises are correct, can we grant that they present a problem? More CO2 and higher temperatures are favourable to life. These conditions would favour greater plant growth and therefore a proportionately smaller proportion of land required for agriculture, leaving more ground for the wild animals and plants they claim to love. Most physico-chemical actions and reactions, of which climate change is essentially a very large-scale and general example (and very chotic and unpredictable with it) are one-way and irreversible. If the climate is destined to reach the conditions predicted, it is hubris to think we can do anything effective to prevent it. As for following the science, that's exactly what we have been doing since the start of the Industrial Revolution. Until about the day before yesterday, the internal combustion engine was probably considered mankind's greatest invention, a glory of science. After over a century of extolling its wonders, science now tells us that these same engines are killing the planet. Like asking the burglar who has robbed one's house for security advice, we are now pinning all our faith in scientists to solve the unintended problems their predecessors caused, with no thought to the possible unintended consequences of their new policies. Of course, we can resort to a pre-industrial, medieval way of life, of which many of the afore-mentioned extremists dream, but this would necessitate a far greater death toll than the wildest imaginable worst-case scenarios of global warming.

The Chinese Communists are committing the greatest crimes in human history against Human Rights. Including massive assaults on Religious Freedom, but the only thing anyone ever talks about is that they are burning too much coal. This is no accident. This has all been planned that way....
The West is committing unprecedented numbers of crimes, also, but against softer targets, particularly the unborn. We are heading down the same road in terms of religious freedom, but ours is a soft tyranny, which is in many ways more corrupting, because many cooperate with their own oppression. Most crimes against the religious freedom of orthodox Catholics is being perpetrated by those who call themselves Catholic. I am beginning to think that Chinese Communism, as evil as it is, is not as evil as the insanity being pursued by Western progressives. The Chinese don't seem to have abandoned reality as much as the Western Left. Of course, it might be the Chinese who are propagandising the West into these tendencies in order to destabilise it, but personally I think it is the corruption of the West itself that is the source of our suicidal tendencies.
But it's those in the West who are the joke. I would find it perfectly reasonable if the Chinese were rolling around laughing at the likes of those comments from Boris Johnson. The most worrying thing is that these comments of Johnson are actually taken seriously by so many in the West.
