Bella! Beautiful Lady! What a joy it must be to God that you are reaching out and gaining so much sanctification through our prayers, God's grace, and joining in the passion of Jesus this week. He truly loves you and you need to take the time to lay your head on his chest and cry if you must (I do!) and find that single spark of peace that ONLY HE CAN GIVE YOU. ASK for it, BEG for it, as an heir of Christ and baptised child of God, tell the good sweet Jesus that you are not getting up from your knees until he gives it to you! Let your consolation be that God and His Mother have heard your cry about your child. They know you are short of money. They were there during your car wreck and saved you and whomever from being killed before your time, and they WANT YOU to give your ALL to them. One tiny baby step at a time. Its painful, too darn slow and frustrating--but if you went any faster, you would go off the path. Be at peace. Hum this song...."Jesus, I adore you----lay my life before you---How----I ----love.... you........" Just sing it or hum it over and over and over with your eyes closed and rock back and forth. Its like a warm mantle wrapped around your soul!!
THANKYOU, thankyou. I am so glad I asked for help ! The heaviness has gone and I feel peace.. Padraig, yes, you can ease up... I am going to Mass tonight to thank God for each and every one of you. I don't expect sufferings to disappear, but the consolation of knowing I am not alone is immeasurable. I will go back and re-read these amazing messages of prayer and support and love whenever the despair returns. B.
Great news Bella. But I'll pray for you tonight at Holy Thursday Mass to put the cream on the cake. I always think a prayer made is a prayer answered. Its so interesting that you are called to suffer like this in Holy Week directly along side the Lord and that great, great good will come of this.
I somehow missed this message, but you have been on my mind daily. I have been very concerned about you, I am so pleased that you appear to be out of the woods. I shall keep praying though, a cry like that isn't born out of nothing.. God bless you Bella.
Praying too for you Bella- sometimes when we go through the valley of darkness it just feels so lonely as if we are a child abandoned by our Father. This is so hard to comprehend to our human minds but please be assured that this is when God is closest. We cannot feel or see or taste the presence of God and all seems like bitterness and gall. We ask why God, Why have you forsaken me? He has not forsaken us but this is a purification necessary for our faith to grow - to trust even in the midst of bitterness. This is so difficult for us humans - the fear of abandonment. But through faith light eventually returns and sweetness and hope - God has you in the palm of his hand and in the centre of His Heart.
