It's important to remember we are all called to discern for ourselves everything we read and everything we are exposed to from any source. Especially true of seers with constant messages or any unapproved locutions. Be careful looking to blame others for ones own decisions. If you read Mark Mallet's writings and your main take away is he lead me to Charlie Johnson you may want to re-read the other 1000 that speak of the fundamental aspects of our faith. This is the meat of them and the take away from them for me anyway. I would also be careful about judging people's disposition as an indicator of whether they are close to God or not. I think those that really get taken by messages often are no doing their due diligence, relying on the Spirit and often get caught up in the fortune teller aspect of the messages. The adage, take what is good and leave the rest is so true but often very difficult for many to do. Everyone wants a sneak peek into the future. When we look at the number 1 and 2 most important commandments, love God above all else and only serve Him and love your neighbor as yourself and compare them to what we are trying to get out of these messages it's gets easier to see how and when we are failing. Is the Holy Spirit leading us to follow certain seers or is it our own desire to know the future? If I read 7 US cities will get bombed in a nuclear war and to store up food for 3 months and I weigh the importance of these against the commandments above these fall to almost meaningless. If we are putting God first and relying on Him first and praying constantly He will lead us in the right direction. Seriously, what is next, discussion on which cities and the what ifs of all that? Pointless. Again, if I read have a good general confession before fall and consecrate your home to Jesus, Mary and Joseph, although I may or may not do these things I am certainly going to pray on them and see if God guides me to doing them.
Mark Mallett is the man most deceived by the devil I know, along with the crew, peterb, daniel connor etc. they went to play with something they were not prepared for, which is to read texts from hell. nobody leaves unscathed after reading thousands of pages dictated by the devil himself. the person becomes a source of confusion without even realizing it. and still think they are doing good.
No, not necessarily! Mark Mallett and others decided to do this, they are "self-appointed." They also gain from website, they do videos, events, books and make a living from this. Also, Mark Mallett has been wrong, with Charlie Johnston, for example. Daniel O'Connor I know from another forum, he argues, is "sensitive" to people who disagree. I don't think we need to listen to them, and "discern" what they write/post. Also, wouldn't it be better to use time saying Rosaries rather than reading arguments on the internet? Seriously! "Discerning" every new "prophet" who says he/she has a message on End Times distracts from basics, Mass, prayer, good works & real spiritual reading (Bible).
Or doing our daily duties and offering up the sacrifice of doing them to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I think inordinate curiosity is sometimes behind our rush to follow certain seers. We dont realize it as such but it is a desire to know--really know--ahead of time and in great detail what God is planning. Even the apostles fell prey to this. Anyone who followed C Johnston certainly did it of their own free will. Mark Mallett carries no blame in their decision. My observation is merely that here is another end times messenger promoted by Mark Mallett . What one chooses or chose to do with it is a personal decision. However the fact remains he is the one who "put him out there."
Yes it feels different. Like you I knew something very dark and very momentous moved in when pacha was welcomed into the heart of the citadel of the Church of Christ. A line had been crossed. Sister Sasagawa's message confirmed it and gave some guidance on what to do--ashes and penitential rosaries.
Member Jackie shared this post https://blog.adw.org/2020/04/a-call-to-humility-in-the-mystery-of-the-seven-thunders/ and I hope people do not mind if I post it again, but what if some of these alleged seers' messages have the consequence of a couple not welcoming a child into their family because they believe a nuclear attack will happen or the economy will collapse. What if someone doesn't pursue a vocation because of the same reason? The alleged seers' will have to account for the decisions made by their audience and that is something heavy to think about.
I agree with you. Purported messages from Heaven are completely different from giving someone a book, I believe. I know this priest. He was a young priest in my former parish awhile ago. This article in his blog is worth reading and taking to heart. I have also read another blog post from him about undue curiosity. He is helpful.
That's why I try not read or listen to these messages. They do have a psychological effect whether we think the seer is true, not true, or we just don't know. Watching or reading a false seer can set us on a wrong course emotionally or cloud our decision making. A lot of things they say, like having a three month supply of food and water because of nuclear attacks, can lead us into a type of gnosticism when we believe we have an inside line to prophetic events. I don't think God approves of this. I put a lot of weight on Sister Sasagawa's latest message but that's about it. I can look at what God has done in the lives of our family and I know for certain that He anticipates events and arranges our lives much better than we could ever have done even if we had some knowledge of the future.
Good wisdom, Sunnyveil. One of the attributes of God is His Providence. He provides for us. I was thinking today about how He has answered my prayers from years ago in ways I could never have imagined. I had no idea! Praise Him!
Many places put Charlie "out there". Spirit Daily was one. Funny how certain people finally expose themselves for who they are via the obvious but those who believe everyone who happens upon the sources that are only presenting what's been said by them should "know better"......themselves, not trusting any modern day prophets, seem to believe everyone else is prescient! Ha!
I think we should simply come to a general agreement. Everything points to calamitous times . Confusion reigns supreme, which we should not be surprised as Our Blessed Mother has already told us our times are dominated by Satan. This domination by Satan means truth is being effectively subverted...by men, science and media. We all know the prophecies. Just know ... that what stands before us is necessary for the salvation of souls. God loves us and will save us come hell or high water. Amen
What I like and believe adds much credibility to the four founders of Count Down To The Kingdom www.countdowntothekingdom.com is their well defined critique of today's prophets, say since the 1980's - present. They provide a significant and well documented overview of those they hold to be credible/trustworthy prophets of these times, rather than an outdated approach as Desmond Birch and others I read 40+years ago still cling to. One thing that seems sure to me is, we won't have years more to argue/discuss who's understanding of end-times is right or wrong, including the chapters 19-20 of Revelations and bringing about the era of peace that both our Lady of Fatima and Revelations 20 speak to, after the 1290 days of the antichrist and the events leading up to his infamous short period of biblical proportions. I don't know of a resource of information more defined and articulated as what I have been reading at their new web site. They are blazing a path-forward for all who want hear what God is saying at this very moment, as He said he would way back in Amos 3:7 "For surely the Lord God does nothing without revealing his plans to his prophets his messengers". No one can say God has not been speaking in these days. Many thanks to Peter, Mark, Daniel and Christine for all their hard work and countless hours to put their site together. God has and will continue to bless their work I am sure.
They do not know what a prophet is. You are a prophet if you proclaim the word of God in your midst. A prophet is not a locutionist predicting the details of future like a fortuneteller. If you follow a bunch of locutionists your soul is already dominated by the devil. but is already said that the last prophet of the World is Our Lady the real messages necessary to the world come only from her in apparitions that she herself pave the way for the church to recognize it. The rest is pure deceit.
Whatever wisdom I may have about this comes from making the mistake -- multiple times-- of reading messages that were later proven false. Some of these seers may be real but I honestly can't discern who is and who isn't. Others on this forum may have a much better sense for the truth in this regard. Certainly there are true apparitions that we can trust such as Fatima, La Salette, Akita, Betania etc. I hope the messages of Garabandal are true. I really hope the illumination of conscience happens soon. I do want the world to change even if it means more tribulation and chastisement. I just don't see how we continue on our current cultural, moral, economic (you name it) trajectory. I'd love to see the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. In the meantime, I'm grateful for how God takes care of us. On multiple occasions God has lined up complex circumstances of family members with perfect timing. Sometimes He's brought about good from painful experiences where I remember thinking 'why does THIS have to happen?' And sometimes these good changes have taken years -- but they happen. It helps me a lot in the times we are in to recount all the things the Lord in His Providence has done for us and for others we are close to. Yes, Praise Him!!
Sorry, no, don’t feel at all listening to an alleged mystic priest is a waste of my time, or believing in an alleged apparition like Garabandal is just a rush. These are unprecedented times that many are confused of what it all means. And the messages from these apparitions help to explain. Garabandal foretold communism would come back, well, look around. Our rights are being taken away. The more of us who are informed the better prepared we are not to fall under the socialist plan. These apparitions have unveiled the corruption of our governments and Church. That is huge for the world to convert and become educated for instance on freemasonry. The more the public hears of the Virgin Mary appearing its a positive breakthrough. As Catholics we at times are embarrassed to talk about apparitions, but that’s a shame. As long as, the messages don’t go against Church teachings it’s a plus.
