Countdown to the Kingdom

Discussion in 'The Signs of the Times' started by bflocatholic, Mar 26, 2020.

  1. I see such messengers as relaying warnings for the people re: the current times and have always the opening to "mitigation" if the faithful renew their prayers and sacrifices. And they prepare the people for what still must arrive due to sin and disobedience to what has already been ordered, renewing the call for greater faith and detachment from this world. But since reason accompanies faith we can make sense of what we are told by just looking around at the world and connecting it to earlier times of judgement when the world was in a similar situation. People feel that things are closer now because of that awareness. When earlier prophecies came people thought that "soon" meant within a short period of time when here we are decades from those prophecies. Most have us in a state of waiting while we do what we are asked to do. Even within the prophecies/messages as they continue we have been told as well that something grave did not occur when ordered due to certain actions taken by the Church (declaring a Holy Year for instance.....often urged by the acceptance of such PRs) or by the faithful praying the rosary more.

  2. While he does warn of such things, as do several others for these times, I don't think your timeline for his mentions is accurate. I believe that the civil unrest is closer to beginning currently and then will necessitate other things happening. And the Warning comes as things proceed to their worst obviously not prior to what he already included for the current months with that civil unrest. Martial law, if anything, could be necessitated to quell the chaos....and that will not wait until after the Warning since it's here already. We're already seeing what that could be if the commies take over this election....and the control already begun by the severe treatment of those, in some places, who simply do not wear a mask, while riots of violence are allowed to stand. The Churches are just beginning to be attacked through local mandated orders....this could be mitigated by another Trump win. And this is why Fr. M emphasizes the need for prayer for President Trump. Anyway, it would seem that those who are holding Fr. M to even more strict requirements, some of their own making by putting words into his mouth that he did not say, would then also acknowledge what seems to have already been of benefit to the faithful as things have indeed come to pass......over and above what the Bishops have failed in teaching themselves.

I agree that prayer can mitigate things but it can also be used as an out for seers. What I liked about Father Michel specifically was that he didn’t give himself an out. I don’t recall seeing any writings/talks where he says prayer can lessen or change things. Everything is about how to prepare for it all. In one video he actually says that he asked for more time and God told him “No! Don’t ask in a war.”

It’s Father M’s timeline not mine. These are the exact things he warns about. I didn’t put any words into his mouth. He literally said the order of certain events such as “They will have money but no food and then they will have no money.”

A mix and match timeline chosen from a variety of seers to fit the current situation doesn’t help us discern when it comes to Father M’s prophecies.

  5. The events aren't in question but Fr. M's talks spoke of them coming, not necessarily in your order since much of that is already beginning now prior to the Warning and could graduate to a worst scenario just prior to the Warning....the chaos esp. within the Dem cities and the coming planned chaos for the election. Chaos is also rising in European cities due to heavy COVID restrictions, etc. There will likely be chaos in delivery systems for goods after the election, esp. if Trump wins. That is more likely the reason for current storing of necessities for several months. If there are more burnings of cities and threats to citizens' lives, that could mandate at least a temporary Martial law situation to control things. If Trump gets in then the criminals just now being revealed will face justice/go to jail and that is why they'll do anything to prevent that. Yet the warnings re: nature will also probably kick in prior to the Warning.

I spoke of some who have put words in his mouth or his meaning.....like the nuke war coming in October just because he mentioned "great things" would happen in this month. When he spoke of seeing both popes being martyred I don't remember that he put any time stamp on that....he was explaining a vision that he had with the Eucharist. And he spoke, I believe, of Benedict attempting to assemble a conclave to elect a new pope, apparently after the death of Francis..... Have to go back and refresh my mind, but I don't remember any specific timeline for events. We already have an attempt on Trump's life being thwarted because, if I remember correctly, the Chaplet of Mercy or the rosary is being said here.....one reason for not pinpointing dates for things other than generally. His mention of Trump's mandates being completed this year could be interpreted a couple of ways as well.....that the swamp he promised to drain via justice and exposure is already on the horizon just w/ the child trafficking documents as well as the international dealings involving members of our gov. like the Bidens is now of course out there. Or perhaps also that Trump doesn't make it. Either one will bring chaos of course.

  6. Do you believe that God has ordered the things Fr. M. has said for the U.S.? If so, do you not think that Fr. M. should be evaluated by doctors, just as the Medjugorje seers have been evaluated over and over again through the years? The Medjugorje seers have made statements that were far less alarming and they have been wired up and scrutinized by several teams of doctors. Since Fr. M. is predicting more alarming scenarios and his bishops don't support his statements, who could order him to be evaluated.? He doesn't seem to comply with his episcopal superiors...so he just goes off in seclusion and leaves a large contingent of the Faithful to worry and fret. The handful of people who venture to say, I don't think these messages are legitimate for the reasonable deductions that they have made, get scorned. It is almost like the people supporting Fr. M. want hard times to come which I completely do not understand. We have hard times now, why do you want even worse times to happen?

I agree with Just about everything you said. In 2017 I became quite ill and was ultimatley diagnosed with a rare auto immune disease. I saw so many specialists..No one could help me.. they didn't know anything about it..after 2 months my husband and I were sure I was dying. I remember I was so weak that I couldn't even roll over or get up and thinking "I'm just going to die"...it was just a matter of fact... I decided I had to help myself if I wanted to live. .to make a long story short..I'm here today because of natural remedies and diet...and found an amazing m.d. who believes in natural remedies. It took me almost 1 1/2 years. So I can surely understand why Mark Mallett's wife feels she can help people. Love your neighbour as yourself.

And I think the person you may be referring to may be Maria of Divine Mercy ? who so much was written about. Not sure of I got her name right.

I too find there are many here who are very judgemental and not charitable. We are Catholics after all..we could and need to show a bit more love and respect for each other. There are ways to have a discussion without insulting the writer nor the people we are talking about that can't defend themselves.

  10. Yes, that is the name I was searching for and thought of as possibly causing confusion for some. Maria Divine Mercy. Thanks.

I think she was identified as a Mary Carberry. I think it was reported that she was the head of her own public relations business. Apparently it was another seer who is controversial but one who does not fall under the jurisdiction of the Roman Church, Vassula Ryden, who disputed the MDM messages as well!

I don't know anything current about MDM's status but this was reported in 2014:

    STATEMENT OF ARCHDIOCESE OF DUBLIN
ON THE ALLEGED VISIONARY “MARIA DIVINE MERCY”

Requests for clarification have been coming to the Archdiocese of Dublin concerning the authenticity of alleged visions and messages received by a person who calls herself “Maria Divine Mercy” and who may live in the Archdiocese of Dublin.

Archbishop Diarmuid Martin wishes to state that these messages and alleged visions have no ecclesiastical approval and many of the texts are in contradiction with Catholic theology.

    Fede,

It's probably not Maria Divine Mercy. Her messages have been rejected by the Church. In fact, members at MoG, back in 2011, were among those who discovered many problems with her alleged ministry. So what we say here can make a difference!

(Interestingly, the formal statement issued by the archbishop of Dublin was not issued using the Latin terms some now claim are necessary to make bishops' rulings official. Back then, that argument wasn't raised.)

  12. Well if a proper authority of the Church over Fr. Michel is designated for a formal study the tests could be included. There has been no beginning of any study. If one were to be ordered it would have to be under a completely neutral open prelate who follows the ordered protocol of the Church to have any integrity for historical purposes. With the biases admitted by the bishop over the territory that Fr. M is currently occupying with Bishop's permission but w/ no contact with him, he could never be trusted to offer any kind of neutral judgement as is expected since he a priori doesn't personally accept the topics of Fr. M's mystical experiences and messages and has already made that bias known!

If such thorough medical and psychological exams are so full proof why then is Medjugorje still dragging for complete approval? There is always the human nature factor based on so many factors that enter into the situation of whomever is the local Bishop. Same thorough examination was performed for another seer and the PR was accepted to continue in that diocese, but when she moved on the request of the Blessed Mother, a later Bishop quickly squashed the thing due to similar circumstances of being put on the spot as to his personal belief. A quick little "commission" was arranged w/ a few others who were on the side of the Bishop's pre-judgement from the beginning and the backing of the most renown Marian specialists as well as the parish pastor and top theologians were simply rejected. That Bishop didn't like Medjugorje and so when that site was stated to have played a role in the seer's history, he ordered it to never be mentioned again! The seer wasn't even notified of the judgement prior to it appearing in the paper. When some of those involved brought the treatment to the Vatican's PRs authorities they were told that it qualified for being looked into again. Too many bishops are so divorced from the mystical questions.....as well as the majority of the faithful these days......that when people expect him to silence it, most often when the messages speak of things that make the people fearful or reflect upon themselves, he simply complies in order to just get rid of the "problem". Frankly, it's when that scenario does occur that there should be more plausibility to what the messenger offers due to the suffering he/she goes through.

  13. I believe that Fede was thinking that the person sometimes confused with Luz de Maria in comments was perhaps this Maria Divine Mercy. And this is what I had been suggesting might be the case. So LdM gets criticized because of this mistake.

  15. I was just thinking yesterday about how to characterize the current bombardment of confusion w/ its noise and lies and invasion of endless competition of commentary and the "tower of babel" came to mind.

Pedro Regis – Great Babel Will Spread Everywhere

Our Lady Queen of Peace to Pedro Regis on October 22nd, 2020:

Dear children, love and defend the truth. You are living in a time of great spiritual confusion. Be attentive, for you will yet have long years of hard trials. Your weapon of defense is in the Gospel and in the teachings of the true Magisterium of the Church of My Jesus. Do not be afraid. Remain faithful to my Jesus. Accept My Appeals and testify with your own lives that you are of the Lord. Great Babel will spread everywhere and many will turn away from the true faith. Take care of your spiritual life. Devote part of your time to prayer and listening to the Word of God. Do not forget: your victory is in the Eucharist. Onward in the defense of the truth. This is the message that I give you today in the name of the Most Holy Trinity. Thank you for having allowed Me to gather you here once more. I bless you in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Be at peace.

I decided to re-watch some of Fr. Michel's videos. And I am posting a link to this one. I think you will find it very interesting.. it seems exactly what is happening right now. He is reading from the prophecies of Our Lady of Akita. Go to 14.38.. talks about the first attacks on the church...and the desecration of the alter, and marriage...very real it seems in these times.

The warning this morning on bottled water and witches curses--thanks, non sum dignus-- spurred me to come here and post an article I read a while ago.

The article supports earlier concerns about the "essential oils" that Countdown to the Kingdom has linked to its alleged prophetic messengers. I believe this linkage is a serious breach of trust on the part of the Countdown authors toward its Catholic readers. The particular company that is virtually teamed up with the Countdown site and Mark Mallett's wife is the focus of the article below.

This article is "Christian" and written by a former New Ager very familiar with these practices. I do not vouch for anything on the website beyond the words I quote here.

The Christian and Essential Oils: A Few Thoughts [UPDATED]

Posted by Christine Pack and Cathy Mathews

For those Christians who haven't heard, essential oils are big business. Big, big business. Make no mistake: essential oils are the hottest thing going since yoga invaded the church a decade ago. One of the largest and most well known of these essential oils companies is Young Living. Young Living sells its products through Multi-Level Marketing (MLM), a pyramid form of selling that works through networking. (Other MLM companies that might be familiar to some readers are Amway, Juice Plus, Pampered Chef, Herbalife and Mary Kay.).

If you happen to be one of the few that hasn't yet heard about essential oils, just wait. One day soon your Facebook inbox will blow up with invitations to this or that essential oils home party. If you choose to attend one of these parties, you might learn some useful tips for making nice-smelling homemade cleaning products or cosmetics with essential oils, but you might also be exposed to some very unbiblical concepts about sin, sanctification and illness.

Before I go any further, let me first state clearly that we are not concerned with the use of essential oils in foods, cosmetics and cleansers, because those uses do not generally have spiritual implications.* We also view essential oils to be, in and of themselves, spiritually neutral. By that, we mean that we believe Christians can use them with a clean conscience and a right understanding of man, nature, God, physical vs. spiritual healing, etc. BUT, we do also want to warn that some EO companies and distributors (Young Living, in particular, which was founded by a professing Christian named Gary Young) use, sell, promote, and teach about EOs using New Age/New Thought concepts and spirituality, specifically in the areas of sin, sanctification and illness, and concepts that are clearly counter to what the Bible teaches on these things.

The area of alternative treatments, in general, is a tricky one to navigate, as we don't have any desire to throw out all alternative treatments as being bad or unbiblical. What we do want to do is give clear warnings about the dangers that we do see about how some alternative products are marketed, since many of our readers will probably come into contact with some of this thinking, given that alternative treatments, on the whole, have become mainstreamed not only in the culture at large, but also, within the Christian community (and particularly the Christian homeschooling community).

Having said all that, our primary concerns are as follows:

    (1) We are concerned when essential oils (or other alternative treatments) are marketed as having spiritual benefits that should only be ascribed to God;

    (2) We desire to warn about Young Living essential oils being marketed with unbiblical concepts;

    (3) We desire to give clear warnings that the alternative treatment industry, on the whole, is almost entirely unregulated, and to educate others about what the implications of this are; and

    (4) We are concerned when Christians choose to partner with, promote and sell products in tandem with companies that are undergirded with New Age/New Thought beliefs (i.e., being "unequally yoked")...

[Edited to add] There are similar points in this article from Beliefnet, another Christian website (Christians seem to be more alert to the dangers), here: https://www.beliefnet.com/faiths/christianity/is-it-ok-for-christians-to-use-essential-oils.aspx

I read the article by Sola Sisters and it deals very well with the quasi-occult 'therapies' touted by some people using essential oils. Personally, I like the smell of essential oils and the fact that they are naturally antiseptic. Opening chakras and other woo-woo stuff is not integral to the oils themselves which are of course neutral. Lavender oil can be dabbed neat onto a kitchen burn to soothe it and take away the sting.

I must say I suspect that the involvement by the Mallet family is due to a need to generate income. They must have a lot of debts or maybe having a large family involves high outgoings. In these times, many many people are experiencing money worries. Let's not be too quick to judge them. In the past I've enjoyed Mark's writing although I stopped reading him when he seemed to repeat himself somewhat. I don't look at CTTK - it shows how even the most well-intentioned person can be misled. But for the grace of God.....
