Oh, I DO believe some things ARE happening, Fatima. I just don’t believe the likes of EVERY Tom, Dick and Henrietta who professes to be a prophet of God, whether or not they wear the collar or the habit. Believing in them ALL is a fool’s, and not a naysayer’s, errand. Jesus warned us of the false ones. Denying this possibility is denying Our Lord’s words as truth. I’ll follow the Lord Jesus Christ, thank you.

I think many of us “naysayers” have made it clear that our concerns about countdown and it’s messages are about discernment and not the same thing as rejecting prophecy. You read countdown and see Noah’s ark. I read it and see the emperor’s new clothes.

Yes, Christy's posts have brought a lot of clarity. I must confess that seeing Mark Mallet's name associated with the CTTK website was a turn off for me. I'm not a fan although I do believe that he is a devout and faithful Catholic. I have a short attention span and Mark is a bit long winded for my taste but I can't blame Mark for that.
There was a thread here a long time ago which convinced me to give him a miss. I don't recall all the details but it seemed to me that Mark was flirting with millenarianism. Emmett O'Regan's article posted by Christy explains the impression I got but I didn't have the skill or knowledge to express it as clearly as Emmett O'Regan. For that reason alone, I'm very grateful to Christy for posting it. I think that Fr. Iannuzzi's name also popped up in that thread but I can't recall why. Anyway, whatever the reason, a little alarm bell rings in my head whenever I see Fr. Iannuzi's name mentioned.

Prior to reading that article linked by Christy, I also had a jaundiced opinion of Emmett O'Regan. My memory isn't great but I think Emmett made my list of suspects due to something he wrote about Amoris Laetitia and the dubia. I'll be a little less sceptical of him in future.

I feel like I’ve gotten a lot of flippant remarks from “believers” on my posts but I am genuinely interested in those people’s thoughts on the following...

Countdown touts a consensus of seers but the messages of the seers often contradict each other when it comes to events, timing, and people involved. For example, Father Michel says nuclear war will come from North Korea and Iran joining forces while other seers say that it will come from Russia and other countries. They cannot all be right. How do you know what to believe?

Also, there is a lot of talk about people being in the ark. What does that mean to you? Does being in the ark mean you will not suffer famine, persecution, etc?

Do you believe in the natural remedies posted on countdown? Did you buy thieves oil? Did you do the thing with the blessed grapes?

With you on most of this, Garabandal. I’m just reserved about Mr. O’Regan. Don’t agree with all his conclusions.

I know nothing about his other conclusions. I don't think I knew anything at all about him before Amoris Laetitia and after that I wasn't interested in his opinions.

  8. Luke 17: 22-24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it. There will be those who will say to you, ‘Look, there he is,’ [or] ‘Look, here he is.’ Do not go off, do not run in pursuit. For just as lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be [in his day].

I was one of those running in pursuit for Look, there he is or Look, here he is in the 1990's....but now I realize that when He does come, we won't get much notice (three days at most?) and to always be prepared just like Scripture tells us.

  9. Are they to whom a revelation is made, and who are certain it comes from God, bound to give a firm assent thereto? The answer is in the affirmative… —Heroic Virtue, Vol III, p.390

He to whom that private revelation is proposed and announced, ought to believe and obey the command or message of God, if it be proposed to him on sufficient evidence… For God speaks to him, at least by means of another, and therefore requires him to believe; hence it is, that he is bound to believe God, Who requires him to do so.
    —Ibid. p. 394

    One may refuse assent to “private revelation” without direct injury to Catholic Faith, as long as he does so, “modestly, not without reason, and without contempt.” —Ibid. p. 397;

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Can anything God says be unimportant? In the words of Theologian Hans Urs von Balthasar:

One can therefore simply ask why God provides [revelations] continuously [in the first place if] they hardly need to be heeded by the Church. —Mistica oggettiva, n. 35

  10. Alicja Lenczewska – Preparing a Remnant in the Divine Will

God the Father Alicja Lenczewska on October 18, 1988:

My daughter, be not afraid, and be courageous in carrying out My will.

Say that a new epoch is coming, in which the Holy Spirit will directly guide the hearts of My children, and Mary will take care and watch over them in great nearness of heart. Do not be afraid, for I have made future things known to you and revealed my intention for the healing of My Church. The means of spiritual development and worship up until now were good for the years that are now ending. The means and worship established by people obedient to My will were suited to a time of stability, a time of peace and normal life for My people. They have turned into a crust, schematic and merely formal, covering an enormous void and the betrayal of their God. And they are, as in the time of My Son, a blanched sepulcher of faith and daily living with the Father. The time is coming for the breaking of the crust covering up the living hearts of My children. I thirst for hearts that are alive, fervent, pulsating with love and with devotion to the Father, who is Love and Life.

Therefore I am preparing My children for a living faith. Therefore I am teaching how to live with Me at every moment and everywhere. The world is Mine, although defiled by the pride and vanity of Satan. I desire holiness of life in the world in harmony with My will and love. Just as a newborn cannot live without its mother, so My children ought to desire nothing other than Me and My will.

I do not want ceremony and to be addressed with your lips [alone]. I do not want your human initiatives and activity. I do not want the mortifications for Me that you have invented. I want your love and submission to My will. Only such a faith and relationship with Me will save you in the days of destruction and purification. I will teach you spontaneity, living by faith, honoring Me in spirit and in truth in the conditions and situations of your daily lives.

I want to prepare you so that you might cling to Me and remain faithful to Me in the days when the sky will burn and the earth experience destruction. I want you to be able to love Me and trust Me when My churches lie in ruins and My priests are scattered. I want you then to be able to accept all oppression and suffering out of love for Me and to remain faithful in prayer, and I want the Eucharistic sacrifice of My Son to be enfolded within your hearts.

I have ordained my most faithful and meekest children as priests in spirit for the most difficult time awaiting humanity. And I desire that My love might save and heal the world through them, that it might be poured out into the hearts of My children. Do not fear, you who wish to be My light in days of darkness. Do not fear, but trust and allow Me myself to be in you and, through you, to be salvation for souls who are fearful, lost, helpless, since new life will be born in the agony of what has been, which is already heading for collapse.

My daughter, do not be afraid to transmit these words; do not be afraid to speak of what I have made know to you. Do not fear, for you are Mine and nothing will happen without My will. Peace be with you, My child.

Continue in faith and love, and with hope await the coming of My Son, who is your Bridegroom.

  12. I think that being in the ark means that you have stored up food and have a network of support like a refuge during the time that Father M. prophesied is coming. Yet, Jesus never said to do any of that. When he sent off the 72 disciples, they didn't even take a change of clothes on the journey. Just yesterday, the Gospel reading from Mass was about the parable of the rich harvester that decided to build bigger barns to contain his crops, but the Lord called him a fool and took his life that very day. Also in the Medjugorje internet prayer group, Our Lady instructed that every Thursday, this bible passage be posted and prayed Matthew 6: 28 - 33 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? 28And why do you worry about clothes? Consider how the lilies of the field grow: They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these.…Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32For the Gentiles strive after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.…
I was wondering what someone like Pope E. Benedict XVI would think of Father M.'s prophecies. Since Pope Benedict was head of the CDF before he became pope, he must have seen a lot of material that people claimed/messages were coming from God. I wonder if member Fatima would say that Bishop Lemay isn't on the ark even though he has given his life to consecrate it to the Lord. What if Pope E. Benedict didn't believe Father M.'s prophecies were supernatural, would he also be out of the ark?

Being in the ark to me (I don't follow the countdown website at all) means living our consecration to the Immaculate Heart being guided safely on the narrow path to the narrow gate safe from heresy and error and home to the Sacred Heart. It doesn't mean safe from suffering or persecution but safe passage home to heaven.

It's hard to be a rebel on the forum, Advocata. All the extreme positions have already been staked out.

I respectfully disagree about dismissing the website and Lafferty out-of-hand. The particular quote I posted resonated: There are indeed some people who seem to be rooting for disaster to validate their support of certain messengers. There are some who refuse to see or credit anything but bad news. And there are some online who see heresy where it isn't. That's all that I was saying with the posted graph.

I dislike the broader idea that if a person has said something wrong/something you disagree about one subject, nothing he or she has to say on any other subject is valid or should be entertained.

I've seen variations on this posted on MoG by different members. First off, that's not a Catholic point of view. Second, it mirrors a horrible trend on social media, the so-called "Cancel Culture." Third, it severely limits one's ability to understand what others are thinking. Taken to an extreme, it begins to cancel people who should never be canceled. My favorite saint, St. Pope John Paul II, made some bad decisions in his day. He kissed a Koran and supported Fr. Marcial Maciel. He didn't take harsh measures against the sex abuse that took place during his pontificate, for whatever reason. Some Catholics wanted to cancel him over that.

I also disagree about an intermediate coming. I'm no theologian and haven't delved into it deeply. (I don't have time for another podcast!) I feel, however, every generation will see"mourning and weeping in this valley of tears" because of our fallen nature and free will. The Blessed Mother told Bernadette, "I cannot promise you happiness in this life, only in the next." There will always be trials. Earlier generations lived shorter lives in a harsher environment. Right now we have material comforts but spiritual plagues. God tests all of us.

A thoughtful reply, Christy. And I get your first reason for not dismissing anyone outright (like a baby with the bath water). But, I’ve had enough of a taste of that website’s guiding principles and their words consistent to those principles to reject them as a source I would trust.

My comments on a the possibility of a middle “spiritual coming” of the Lord are speculative. I would surely welcome one and see no issues at all tying this to Our Lady’s promised Era of Peace.

The "consensus" has alleged messengers who disagree with one another because the "consensus" idea is flawed. Jimmy Akin takes an axe to Countdown's consensus theory on his podcast on The Warning (above). He compares the evolving narrative of "prophetic consensus" to the way the community of alleged UFO contactees evolved a narrative of brushes with aliens. It's brutal but effective--you can see the parallels as he walks listeners through them.

"How do you know what to believe?" Look to the Church! You'll never go wrong following the church's guidelines, even if it feels too slow for your perspective. God already knows the future, and things will work out in His time.

About the Ark: I've missed the boat! I'm in the water with the other naysayers and sharks are approaching! ... Seriously, the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus for the Ark. I "attach" myself and every member of my family, and friends in need to my rosary every day.

Blessed grapes? Even Daniel O'Connor separated himself from some of the stranger ideas on that "Physical Preparations" page at Countdown.

I've always found "remedies" pushed by people without medical training offensive and possibly dangerous. The manufacture is not regulated, so you don't know exactly how pure the ingredients are, for example, or what contaminates might be in the product. Without proper trials there's no certain way to determine dosages or side effects. Some natural remedies are harmful if taken in together with prescription medication. (St. John's Wort and antidepressants don't mix.) I wouldn't go near any of it.

I have no problem with Catholic websites selling books or videos or asking for donations to continue their work. However, on CTTK Mark Mallett shills for his wife's healing potions, and ties them to remedies mentioned by unapproved "seers." That is outrageous. The National Catholic Register had an article warning about the dangerous trend of "seer-approved" remedies, as I think you noted earlier, WTW.

    Hi "Quis"

First off is a Mark Mallett post from last May, Taking Back God's Creation. https://www.countdowntothekingdom.com/?s=Taking+Back+God's+Creation

"On the other hand, I can tell you story after story of good, solid Catholics I personally know who have been healed of chronic illnesses by integrating essential oils into their lives. But believe me, these testimonies are being aggressively censored as “unscientific.” For me, it’s precisely the incredible science behind them that led me to investigate not only essential oils but the remarkable health benefits of sunlight, soil, sea salt, colloidal silver, natural vitamins, Omega 3’s, etc. And, oh, how the COVID-19 crisis has unmasked a true global agenda to utterly silence anyone—scientists and laymen alike—who would dare to point anyone in a direction other than Big Pharma.

Do not be intimidated! It’s time for us to take back God’s creation from the New Agers, to take back creation from those who intentionally hide its inherent benefits, to take back what the government and Big Pharma are censoring and sequestering! It’s not that easy, I know, but it’s also not impossible.

With that, I want to introduce you to my bride, Lea Mallett. She has started an important website to help you begin to detoxify your homes and bodies and begin to integrate God’s creation into your life. Lea also addresses in her Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) some of the common accusations and falsehoods that are levelled at anyone trying to walk in God’s natural and supernatural pathways. While we know we can’t convince everyone, we’re simply doing our part to help bring some much-needed balance and, hopefully, clarity to a very complicated and polarized subject. We feel, in fact, that this is already pointing us to the Era of Peace
    [7]"

Then there is a page on Medicinal Plants on Countdown, with Lea Mallett's book highlighted. https://www.countdowntothekingdom.com/medicinal-plants/

But I think WTW knows more about this subject than I do.

And when the consensus of details coming from God's prophets come soon to fruition, will you be one knocking on the ark that has closed its doors as the water rises quickly? How many others have the naysayers kept out of the ark with their slander of God's prophets? Scripture does make clear it will be the same as the days of Noah and the time of Sodom.

So I am curious, if you do see some concerns for our time, where does it lead to in your mind? Is this just a bump in the road to heaven? How does the rise in communism end? Does the world that has lost God come back to God with a new pope or what does it take in your mind? I have heard allot of slander against God's alleged prophets, but I have not heard from the naysayers how it all ends? What does your prophets or wise men and women say about the world and where it is going and how it is coming back? Or is it?
