I admire so much your lightness and fortitude and corage through all this Linda..and your deep faith. I'll offer my Mass up this morning. It's wonderful to inspire others with the way you carry your cross. Peace.
You still have a collapsed lung? I've heard living on one lung can be tough, draining you of energy and stamina. Then again, I've read about people who do fine on just one. I hope you don't need surgery, but it sounds like you will to get your other lung working again. What a trial this must be. Prayers going up.
Well, went to my doctor for my follow up and he told me that I have two situations, one my asthma and my upper lobe collapse but that there is actually a nodule in the area and he is very concerned and is sending me to a doctor he knows in Wyandotte Tuesday to make sure it isn't cancer... I was not told this in the hospital by anyone... The doctor who treated me there didn't seem a bit worried and told me to make an appointment with him in 7-10 days. I'm quite taken back by this... I googled lung nodule and there is a good possibility that it could be benign, but yet it could be cancer, so it is very important I see someone very soon... it appears my journey is just beginning... I'm so glad you are all here, it gives me great consolation knowing this... I told Jesus that He has to save many souls with this...
Thank you, I am so fortunate to have been led to this forum as there are many great spirits here within; See? He ALWAYS takes me to where I am taken care of, this time with so much love, again, thank you.
Wow! You are so inspiring to me with how you are carrying your cross! I'm still praying for you! Thank you for saving many souls through this hardsip! God and Our Lady must be so happy w you, smiling upon you with love!
Re: Update Again, so many thanks... I saw my regular doctor last Thurs. and he sent me to a specialist @ Henry Ford Hospital in Wyandotte (which is where I went yesterday), who is now referring me to a specialist in downtown Detroit @ Henry Ford Hospital who is supposed to be good at handling cases like mine. I'm waiting now for an appointment with them to do another bronchoscopy to remove the blockage, etc... Still in holding pattern waiting for treatment; my concern is that it could be cancer and that my lymph node next to the collapsed lobe and near my trachea is enlarged slightly... the doctor said it could just be irritated? He also said he thinks I have COPD; never smoked but was around it alot... ???? I'm told that this new doctor is very, very good, and the procedure will be as an outpatient, no hospital stay, God willing. Am feeling better now that my asthma is better controlled... God bless, Linda
Praise you Lord for your Love. Please God, make the path clear and the healing process easily accessible, adding strength, courage, stamina and ever increasing faith for our friend.
Linda, Thanks for the details. I like to be specific in my prayers. On my knees! Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
I pray you need not more than an anti-inflammatory, but I'll pray for good doctor discernment and comfort from our Lord. Pray, Pray, Pray Kath
Praying for you and for healing of your ailments, the asthma too. My brother has asthma. His solution was Arizona. He still has asthma, but it is much easier to control there.
Re: Could use some prayer myself - Update! Hi everyone, continued thanks for your prayers for healing, etc.... Sorry I haven't been around much; quite a bit has happened in that I was hospitalized again this past Sunday, due to a TIA (mini stroke) from my blood pressure, we assume at this point, it has taken some time for my meds to kick in, perhaps due to my treatment with steroids to calm down the inflammation in my lungs (asthma). I'm not sure which is worse the cure or the disease. Anyway I am breathing better and am awaiting my next visit on the 15th of this month with my new specialist (#3) for another bronchoscopy and possible surgery the next day on the 16th... Except that one good thing may have come about from my last visit to the hospital, I was diagnosed with pneumonia in my left lung (not the good part) but the x-ray showed that my right lung (the one that had a collapsed lobe and obstruction) is no longer visible, Miracle? I sure hope so, there are two recent x-rays that do verify this finding... not sure what has happened, my first thought was it's a miracle because of so many praying for me... yep, I'm going with miracle! I am feeling better but tired after the pneumonia and TIA which I'm told is a warning of a possible larger stroke in the future, I really need to get a hold on my blood pressure. It's interesting in that I have no blocked arteries either in my neck or heart or otherwise... My doctor wants me to see a neurologist to see if perhaps something is going on there... something did show up on my CT and MRI scans... but there was not much if any damage from my TIA... thank You God!!! Just thought I'd let you know and still can use a little more prayer to get through these challenges I have acquired. Thank you and God bless each and everyone of you... Linda
