Yes Padraig if you shop smart you can fill the cupboards very easy..my own examples would be supermarket brands your food doesn't have to be big brand names the important thing is food... my examples would be 1kg bags of rice 44p pasata sauce 32p tins of beans 22p tinned meat balls 32p dried pasta and spaghetti 500g bags 20p dried chick peas lentils turtle beans 500g bags £1 stock cubes all varieties 20p gravy granules 20p bottled water 2ltr 17p the bigger 5l comes in at £1.40 so do the maths 2l are cheaper cup a soups 4pack 17p noodles 13p wheet biscuits 48 pack £1 porridge oats 1kg 80p biscuits choc creams digestive etc around 30p per pack remember high protein and carbs will keep you going for sure so you can imagine what you can get for around £50 I also have a mini gas stove with 4 bottles costing around £8 but remember charcoal is very cheap so a few bags for the barbie and you have an instant cooking stove and heat...
