Yes, it's so easy to overdo things thinking that we are being sensible. Here's where I found out about Vitamin A: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/vitamins-and-minerals/vitamin-a/
I think that's the website of the British National Health Service.

Boy, just a quick glance, I can see my diet is getting too much A! It causes bone loss and I’m trying to build bone mass.
I’m shocked at this….going to look into this more now! Thanks…

Some medical advice seems to change over time as they learn more, especially with the aid of new technology. Dairy produce and meat were good, then they were bad and now it's hard to know whether they are good or bad. I suppose it depends on the condition of the patient and what ailment is being treated.

Ideally, we would all be able to get a blood test to ascertain which supplements we need and which should be avoided. Blood testing is not a walk-in service here, even with a doctor's referral. I think that there are a few private clinics where it may be possible to get a blood test without a letter from a GP. Could be expensive but might be worth it because the cost of all the supplements mounts up.

I actually was just considering getting my blood tested just for this…
If my doc orders it, insurance may cover it….may…
Blood work is really expensive, but if you limit the scope of it, it might not be too bad. But honestly, it’s your health, so I guess it’s worth it. Pay now or pay later.

The video that YouTube removed was a Dr. Doshi who is a Professor and also Editor of the British Medical Journal. Dr. Doshi was speaking to members of one of the US Houses of Parliament. YouTube removed the video, calling it disinformation! Here's another doctor with a short video on the question of whether the covid injections are actually vaccines or prophylactic treatment:

I'm editing this post to add that the doctor in the video is not a medical doctor. He is a doctor of pharmacy with a PhD in Pharmaceutical Science.

Just a bit of a red flag here. My neighbor who is 80 got into some real medical trouble taking 10000 units of D3. My own MD/endocrinologist told me 5000 units are safe without a doctor's supervision. Anything above that should be run by your doctor I think.

Yes vit A can be bad if you get too much of it. You just about have to be a nutritionist to wade through the ins and outs of these supplements.:eek:

Yes, I'm very wary of overdoing the supplements. I feel safe increasing to 5,000 during the winter because I don't take calcium supplements. I have read that Vitamin D supplements can be harmful for people with some medical conditions. It's always best to consult your own doctor.

Dr. Campbell mentioned that Dr. Fauci said that he takes 6,000 IU of Vitamin D.

Well, the simplest thing to do is to call your insurance company and ask if they would cover a doctor-ordered a blood assay to check your vitamin D levels. That's the sort of thing doctors do, and if you haven't had one done in a few years (if ever) the insurance company can't say that you're having it done more frequently than required. Last year I just asked my doctor to check my vitamin D levels because I'd been reading about how so many Americans are deficient in vitamin D. I take a multivitamin formulated for (ahem) men of a certain age, which includes vitamin D (as well as A and a bunch of others), and I had started taking 1,000 units of D3 just because. That's why I was so shocked when they called me and told me to up my intake of D3! Even taking the supplement I was deficient! They just took some blood this afternoon to test for anemia (which some family members have had problems with) and to test for my thyroid function (as an age-based baseline).

This makes good sense Muzhik, my insurance will check every six months for my D levels because of a thyroid condition…otherwise it won’t cover it. I still might be able to take more D because I need to build bone mass. I just learned that vit A found in many dairy products can cause bone loss….I’m shocked because dairy has calcium and that should build bone mass..! Soooooooo…..?
I think the trick is to find a experienced nutritionist! I do the keto and intermittent fasting …Id hate to give up dairy:(

Geeezzzz, do you gotta give up everything?

I understand what the story is trying to say, but in my experience this is the favorite non-Biblical parable of the "God helps those who help themselves" proponents, generally used against those who have a more radical trust in God. For instance, I was told this story by someone who believes I'm foolish for trusting God to send me children when He pleases instead of using NFP to space out my children. My view is that God won't send me more children than I can handle/provide for if I trust Him and desire His will, but I was told this story because when I end up with too many children it will be because I was foolishly trusting God instead of handling the number of children myself.

That's only one example out of many, so I'm at the point where I really dislike this story lol.

If I'm not mistaken, Heartbeat is in favor of the Covid vaccine (which is fine) and was using this story to illustrate to MMM that perhaps the vaccine IS the answer from God that will solve her problems. That's a fair opinion to have, but I feel the portrayal of MMM's statement of trust in God (whom she feels has led her in prayer to avoid the vaccine) as somehow synonymous with a foolish man ignoring rescue boats is unfair.

If I'm mistaken about what Heartbeat was trying to say, I apologize.

Although it could be many right now, Bill Gates, Macron.. who knows.

This is really bad, and what is worse is that so many think its fine.
