We seem more an more to all being backed into a corner in all this. Some countries are not even letting people leave their homes if they are unvaccinated. There appears to be some huge plan somewhere to put the squeeze in.

I would not say getting vaccinated would be the total end of the world (though from what I read it is highly , highly dangerous). But Spiritually I fear it is opening the door to 666, the start of the very slippery slope down the path of going along with things.

I just hear an interior voice...I believe my Guardian Angel screaming out, 'No!, No ! , No!' Don't do it!

What is the point of having an Angel Guardian if you don't listen to him?

Forgetting ethical or moral reason the HUGE elephant in the room is these shots do NOT stop transmission. This alone renders them a personal decision. The false narrative otherwise is evil.

If they stopped transmission I'd take the risk for others but the only questionable benefit (or serious long term question) is To oneself.

    God help us.

    Really Great quote:)

    https://washingtoninst.org/always-winter-never-christmas/

“It is winter in Narnia,” said Mr. Tumnus, “and has been for ever so long…. always winter, but never Christmas.” [IMG]

There are words that capture our imaginations, often from the very first time we hear them. I confess that when I read this so long ago now, I understood them— though now years later, I understand them so much more fully. At that first reading, they made sense of my life and world, young as I was. Now I have lived with them, and within them, for most of life, and I feel their weight deeply.

Like every other son of Adam and daughter of Eve, I feel the winter of this weary world. This week the death of a long friend, and the death of a long marriage; this year the deaths of other friends at moments that seem “too soon.” For everyone of us, with our families, our friends, our neighbors, our cities, in every relationship in every way we are burdened by what is tragically not the way it is supposed to be. And beyond what we see with our own eyes, the day by day onslaught of the news of the world is more often than not a window into a heartache and horror that seem impossible to explain.

Across the board, in all of life, we feel the tension of the now-but-not-yet of history and hope. As my friend Todd Deatherage recently wrote, “Sometimes it feels like there is a lot more ‘not yet’ than ‘now.'” From our most intimate and personal relationships on through to our most public and political responsibilities, working out a vision of vocation that gives coherence to life is more difficult than we ever wanted it to be.

    Always winter. Never Christmas.

But then I know that I have staked my life on something more: that this wounded world, this very broken world, is not the last word. Simply said, I believe in Christmas, and in a Christmas that has moral meaning. Cursed as we are, cursed as this life so often seems, it will not always be winter.

Christmas has come, and is coming… and I am longing for its blessings to flow far as the curse is found.

(From C.S. Lewis’ “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe,” which I am reading again during these days of December. Dedicated to Lucy Barfield, daughter of his lifelong friend, Owen, whom I met 27 years ago in England driving him from Oxford to London one summer night. He was an old man by then, but still full of the memories of the years of his long life. And “no,” I did not meet Lucy.)

This may just be my area but I heard from source who knows that the # of Covid patients in one of the largest health systems in NYC is less than 20. At peak it was 1500. I’m praying this may be a good sign …. I doubt it will change the Mandate but hopefully it means less pressure.

Dear Mario . . .what a dilemma to be in. But God gives us trials, it's His way. I had the dream last Jan. To NOT take the vax. There is no way I would after having that dream. God said he did not want our RNA disturbed . . .soooooo. I could meditate on that one part of the dream for hours. Some of my friends who had the vax have already passed. Some from cancer, some from pneumonia etc. Some of my friends have been affected by it, one in particular paralyzed from the waist down. My cousin had the vax and two boosters and still got covid. He is not doing well. Those are just a few personal anecdotes. HOWEVER, along the same lines. My husband and I decided the end of August to move north. He could not tolerate the high heat and humidity any longer.I felt a 'nudge' to go north. So we found a house in northern Indiana, are all moved in and found a buyer for our house in Alabama and hopefully it closes in two weeks. All through the process we have been demonically attacked for moving. It's a long strange story, but we did it. God has blessed us abundantly. But for you, Mario, God placed on my heart "patience". That's not easy in a stressful situation, but I'm trying really hard. I mentioned it to my husband that the word patience kept coming at me. Persevere and be patient and in due time it will all make sense. I will pray for you, God our father, loves you very much.

We know, for a fact, that this vaccine has incredibly high morbidity and mortality rates. And those rates are most definitely INCREASING every day.

It’s a sin against the Sixth Commandment to willfully engage in behavior that is a direct threat on one’s life; we cannot even engage in any kind of behavior involving “Russian Roulette” type odds where “maybe” there’s a fractional chance we’ll die, and “maybe” a greater chance we won’t.

And ALL the current vaccines are compromised by having been either developed on, tested with, or manufactured on fetal stem cell lines. Such vaccines are ONLY admissible in Catholic teaching in the face of grave danger from a truly deadly pandemic; with a 99.7% survival rate, this virus does NOT fulfill that criteria.

Government or employer mandate does NOT make the vaccine admissible from a moral standpoint either.
Even the greater good you outline may be outweighed by this.

EMHCs can licitly bring Holy Communion to the faithful in nursing homes. I’m certain there are numerous vaccinated EMHCs. But the number of active men in Holy Orders, including the diaconate, is quite limited, so to endanger one’s life with this experimental jab is questionable at best.

May God bless you and the Holy Spirit enlighten you in this difficult decision.

A bizarrely deserted Marienplatz during the first weeks of the Munich lockdown.
You cannot discuss heavily propagandised matters, such as Corona, in the same way you discuss other, more ordinary things. Months and months of pervasive media messaging have polluted everybody’s thoughts and opinions. If you eavesdrop on ordinary people discussing propaganda topics like Corona, you’ll realise that their conversations involve little more than the exchange of pre-digested axioms they have absorbed from the press mythology. They do not have thoughts or ideas so much as a bland and vacuous collection of talking points, which work primarily at the level of emotion. Right now, these talking points go something like this: Corona is extremely dangerous and if you contract it you will likely die; vaccines are absurdly safe and they are the only thing that can save you.

When dealing with adherents of this propaganda, it is generally a mistake to make forthright arguments, with clear theses and thorough citations. Perhaps if you’re speaking to someone who trusts you and your judgement absolutely, this can work, but otherwise it is precisely the wrong thing to do. This is not because your views are not right or can’t be defended. Rather, it’s because the press has not only fed people their fill of lies and omissions and sophistries; it has also told them many stories about the sad, ignorant, dangerous thought criminals and dissidents lurking around every corner. These villainous Corona-deniers are almost as dangerous as the virus itself. Indeed, through their ignorance, they facilitate its spread. Any time credulous people sense they are speaking to one of these types, an iron gate will fall in their minds and they will discount everything you say, however well-reasoned, as the ravings of a dangerous virus criminal. They will think: This is one of those horrible anti-vaxxing Covid-denying conspiracy lunatics I’ve heard about. Whatever he says is a lie, and it is scary how convincing he sounds. What a horrible person.

These mental defences are formidable, and they make most reasonable discussion impossible. There are, however, various strategies you can deploy against them.

Katfalls, this is truly an inspiring post. You are correct. If we do the right thing, in time it will all make sense,
God bless you and your husband on going through literal hell to move north. May God grant you some peace now and a chance to rest up a bit.
Good to hear from you and thank you for your post.

    Dear Brother,
It is not that we are oddballs or 'special' just because we are a minority. We still have our original genetic setup.
The right to defend this, and to reject medical experiments, is a basic human right. If your Bishop is not willing or able to defend you in that situation, that is his choice or his problem.
I may be facing job loss very soon over this very issue. We all have to make a choice in this dire situation. One cannot serve two masters. It is very doubtful to think the will of God is that we are successfully coerced into accepting abortion-tainted medication.
The personnel situation in the Holy Catholic Church is self-inflicted. People are running from watered-down Catholicism, refer for example the short video below from Father Mark Goring. In contrast, the SSPX, for example, has many vocations and the chapels are overflowing with young families.

Yes, this nails it. Once we are all marked, all resistance is down. Then total control will abound.

My apologies! I posted this without reading the whole thing first.

I read his other stuff and he’s very astute, so I just figured this would be worth reading and sharing too, and I’d read it in full later. I didn’t realize this was one of his “paid subscribers only” posts. D’oh!

Yahoo! St. Thomas More Society has appealed to none other than the Supreme Court! If they refuse to accept the case or if they accept it and agree with the mandates, the religious exemption in New York State is dead in the water. If they rule in favor of the those in my position, New York State's attack on the conscience clause is over and I 'll be serving as a chaplain without violating my own conscience. It's a gamble to go to the very top for a decision, but...(y)(y)(y).

Oh MMM, I truly sympathize with you! You’ve stated your situation so well. I have a different situation but it’s the same in many ways. I’ve had to distance myself from a family member that I love too. It’s a faith issue and it’s consequences are eternal. We know what God wants and expects from us….and even knowing that you’re doing God’s will, it is still gut wrenching.
It’s a real test of faith when you elect to put God first over even those in life you love with every fiber of your being. I believe God will bless your sacrifice…but it still takes fortitude.
