    ETA,

I went to the CDC link above. The graph on the right does indicate a large spike in deaths beginning at week 13 which is the first week that hard-hit New York State started to show the impact of covid-19. It would be better for us to consider the above hypothesis after May or June stats are available. I believe that would more clearly support the hypothesis.

I certainly do share the horror over the abolishment of civil rights!

  2. Mario,

And then we have the reports from the funeral directors in NY that no matter what patients had COVID was given as the reason for death on just about everyone. Doctors have stated the same.....for their orders to list COVID when that was only secondary......if patient had any type of lung symptoms, like fibrosis from COPID, they had to list COVID w/o testing. Some family demanded an autopsy after such an experience and their loved one was negative for COVID.....nursing care was not appropriate for an Alzheimer's patient in that case. There are the other drs. and nurses who claim that patients were not treated for COVID when they had it, were mismanaged and became casualties. The whole thing is beyond any accurate assessment.....the demand for universal testing could wind up saying anything they want in order to perhaps put the tracing mechanism into action and delay the end of shutdown for sake of frauding the vote via mail in. Treatments that were proven to work for prior Sars type viruses were banned in so many places, etc. The intubations and ventilators were often the wrong treatment for the lung damage in this case. Universal testing could be used for what they like....since it could show positive for some who would never show symptoms.....and delay the end of shutdown for the purpose of frauding the vote through mail in. In the 1968 pandemic of H3N2 there were 100,000 deaths w/ no shutdown.....there most deaths were also in the 65 and older group too.....now more elderly in that range. Who knows for sure.....choose your statistics.

Note: I was heading off to bed when I was directed to write this.

Lord: (Yes my son write what I tell you) My child be at peace, it is I your Lord and God and Father. Not long from now and you will hear another tragedy that will befall mankind. My children have in large part not turned back to me as their God and Father. Many have returned home to their families; some against their own will, but few have returned to me. Because of this another wake-up call must be sent to them in hopes of them repenting of their ways and seeking my forgiveness. The United States will suffer financial burden but all who call upon me will be saved in various ways. Other parts of the world will suffer their own fate due to the worshiping of idols and the lack of moral compass they are guided by. All of this my son can and will be used for good if my children would just call out my name. I wait as an eager parent does for the return of their lost children. You can lessen the effects of all of these things by your fasting and your prayer. The laws are established in heaven and they can be worked to your advantage or your disadvantage; that is largely up to you and your decisions. Come home my children, your loving Father awaits your return. That is all my son now go in peace. I love you, amen.

This sounds similar to what was given the anonymous 1990s messenger but a month earlier. I hope it is false. Oh Lord, we’ve known of the Great Tribulation. Has it begun? Please shower us with more faith. We need Your strength. Help us to love more.

US reversal prevents UN vote on pandemic truce

    AFP

The United States on Friday stunned other members of the UN Security Council by preventing a vote on a resolution for a ceasefire in various conflicts around the world to help troubled nations better fight the coronavirus pandemic, diplomats said.

Washington's reversal came a day after it agreed to the text, negotiators said under cover of anonymity.

"The United States cannot support the current draft," the country's delegation declared, without further detail, to the 14 other Security Council members, after nearly two months of difficult negotiation over the text.

The latest stalemate continues to leave the global peace and security body largely mute in the face of a once-in-a-century pandemic that has killed more tha 270,000 people and raised further fears for the world's most vulnerable.

When asked for an explanation of the US move, a State Department official told AFP that China had "repeatedly blocked compromises that would have allowed the Council to move forward."

Diplomats told AFP that the language used in the draft to describe the World Health Organization was behind the US move to prevent the vote.

But other sources said Washington wanted the Council to return to an initial draft of the resolution which highlighted the need for "transparency" in global cooperation in tackling the pandemic.

"In our view, the Council should either proceed with a resolution limited to support for a ceasefire, or a broadened resolution that fully addresses the need for renewed member state commitment to transparency and accountability in the context of COVID-19," the State Department official said.

US President Donald Trump has accused the WHO of downplaying the seriousness of the outbreak in China.

The procedure blocked by the United States would have allowed the sponsors of the resolution, France and Tunisia, to put it to a vote.

The latest version of the text -- obtained by AFP -- called for a cessation of hostilities in conflict zones and a 90-day "humanitarian pause" to allow governments to better address the pandemic among those most suffering.

It called on all nations to "enhance coordination" in the virus fight and highlighted the "urgent need to support all countries, as well as all relevant entities of the United Nations system, including specialized health agencies, and other relevant international, regional, and sub-regional organization."

This wording, which implicitly refers to the WHO without explicitly mentioning it, was the compromise obtained from US and China on Thursday night, according to diplomats

    - 'Very bad news' -

Washington had threatened to use its veto if there were any explicit reference to the WHO, while Beijing brandished its own veto if the global health body were not mentioned, before in the end accepting that it would not be.

Diplomats said the US had let go more than a week ago of its demand for mention of transparency in the French-Tunisian text. The "ball was in the Chinese camp" now, one of them said previously.

The US turnaround "is a very, very bad news for United Nations, the Security Council and multilateralism," said one ambassador from a Security Council member.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has been pushing for a cessation of hostilities around the world since March 23, urging all sides in conflict to lay down arms and allow war-torn nations to combat the coronavirus.

French Ambassador Nicolas de Riviere told AFP that he would like "of course to continue to try to reach an agreement, if there is room for that."

His Tunisian counterpart Kais Kabtani said discussions are continuing "to convince the Americans." He vowed that the procedure for going to a vote would be taken up again.

Ironically, the Security Council was also engaged Friday in a major videoconference organized by Estonia, which holds the body's rotating presidency this month, on the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II.

More than 50 ministers from around the world participated, most of them issuing a "plea for multilateralism."

No Thanks: Trump White House Shelves CDC Guidelines for Reopening Economy and Public Places

    Breitbart.com reported:

A set of detailed documents created by the nation’s top disease investigators meant to give step-by-step advice to local leaders deciding when and how to reopen public places such as mass transit, day care centers and restaurants during the still-raging pandemic has been shelved by the Trump administration.

The 17-page report by a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention team, titled “Guidance for Implementing the Opening Up America Again Framework,” was researched and written to help faith leaders, business owners, educators and state and local officials as they begin to reopen.

It was supposed to be published last Friday, but agency scientists were told the guidance “would never see the light of day,” according to a CDC official. The official was not authorized to talk to reporters and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

The AP obtained a copy from a second federal official who was not authorized to release it. The guidance was described in last week, prior to the White House decision to shelve it.

The Trump administration has been closely controlling the release of guidance and information during the pandemic spurred by a new coronavirus that scientists are still trying to understand, with the president himself leading freewheeling daily briefings until last week.

Traditionally, it’s been the CDC’s role to give the public and local officials guidance and science-based information during public health crises. During this one, however, the CDC has not had a regular, pandemic-related news briefing in nearly two months. CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield has been a member of the White House coronavirus task force, but largely absent from public appearances…

…Some of the report’s suggestions already appear on federal websites. But the guidance offered specific, tailored recommendations for reopening in one place.

For example, the report suggested restaurants and bars should install sneeze guards at cash registers and avoid having buffets, salad bars and drink stations. Similar tips appear on the CDC’s site and a Food and Drug Administration page.

But the shelved report also said that as restaurants start seating diners again, they should space tables at least 6 feet apart and try to use phone app technology to alert a patron when their table is ready to avoid touching and use of “buzzers.” That’s not on the CDC’s site now.

“You can say that restaurants can open and you need to follow social distancing guidelines. But restaurants want to know, ‘What does that look like?’ States would like more guidance,” said Dr. Marcus Plescia, chief medical officer of the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials.

The Brave New World of Bill Gates and Big Telecom

    May 08, 2020

By Robert F. Kennedy, Chairman and Dafna Tachover, Director, Stop 5G Project, Children’s Health Defense

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. wrote last week about Malibu police’s ticketing Point Dume surfers $1,000 apiece for using the ocean during the quarantine. Was this merely an appalling police judgment at which we will laugh post-quarantine? Or does anyone else feel that this is the first wave of compliance and obedience training for something more permanent? Are powerful state and corporate entities using the current crisis to remove basic rights, and intensify pressures to promote vaccines and surveillance? Does anyone else feel the suffocating darkness of tyranny descending on our nation? And finally, does anyone share my dread that Bill Gates—and his long-time associate Tony Fauci—will somehow be running our Brave New World?

  8. This is how Melinda Gates is fighting for family planning services

And it's about to make a big difference

Melinda Gates announced today at The Global Family Planning Summit in London, that the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will increase its funding for family planning by 60%, providing an extra $375m over the next four years. About $250m of this money will be used to fund services for teenagers.

Her move is a welcome initiative following President Donald Trump’s reinstatement earlier this year of the ‘the global gag rule’ which prohibits U.S. funding to international NGOs if they advise on or provide abortion services as part of their wider family planning and contraception services. In May this year, Trump also decided not allocate any funding for international family planning in his proposed budget.

At the summit in London, Gates spoke openly of the recent moves by the US: ‘This is a difficult political climate for family planning,’ she said. ‘I’m deeply troubled, as I’m sure you are, by the Trump administration’s proposed budget cuts.’

The US is the largest donor for family planning, giving more than $600m this year alone. So cutting these funds will leave a huge hole in the money available. In real terms this means less money to fund family planning services that give women control over when and if they have children. It means huge cuts to basic contraception services for over-populated communities across the world who cannot afford larger families, a lack of abortion services for rape victims of war and abuse, and more women than ever dropping out of education to look after children. Tragically, every day 830 women die from childbirth or pregnancy around the world. Almost all of these deaths are preventable.

However, this funding alone cannot hope to close the gap left by Trump’s actions, which is why the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is joining forces with the UK’s Department for International Development, and the UN Population Fund to provide modern, voluntary family planning to women in the world’s poorest countries across Africa and Asia. The UK has pledged to provide an average of £225 million per year until 2022.

Priti Patel, Secretary of State for International Development, will announce the policy at today’s summit, which hopes to save the lives of over 6,000 women – one every 90 minutes – by preventing maternal deaths.

Priti Patel told Marie Claire: ‘This new UK aid support will provide 20 million women with voluntary contraception, change the lives of 6 million women by allowing them to avoid unintended pregnancies and prevent the trauma of 75,000 still births. We know that when women are in control of their bodies, they can make decisions about their own lives and futures, stay in education, in jobs, and end the cycle of poverty, and the way to do that is by giving them access to contraception. We are speaking about women and girls in some of the poorest parts of the world where awareness raising is difficult – perhaps because they live in rural areas where supply is difficult, or in male-dominated societies where contraception is not something that is spoken about. Global advocacy – being a voice for women and girls in these parts of the world is one way to support our campaign. Marie Claire readers have been hugely generous in supporting and empowering women by shining a spotlight on these issues.’

Pregnancy not only puts women’s lives at risk – it can affect their education and future prospects too. Sophie grew up in Uganda. By the time she was 13, ten of her classmates were already pregnant. Her school gave all female students pregnancy tests regularly. Anyone who received a positive result would be expelled. Sophie is now working with Plan International to promote safe sex and reproduction health education to her peers.

Sophie told Marie Claire: ‘In Uganda, the social norms and perceptions around pregnancy prevent girls from getting an education and employment – there is a belief that if a girl is pregnant, she is no longer a girl but a mother. Schools say they do not educate mothers. Sexuality is seen as a private issue – growing up, I received no sex education at all. Some girls still believe that if they bathe in Coca-Cola after sex they won’t get pregnant, or if they jump up and down after sex they won’t get pregnant. That’s why educating women, changing perceptions and providing access to contraception is so important.’

I saw this man interviewed on tv last week: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stéphane_Bancel
I got the impression from the interview that Mr. Bancel and Dr. Fauci are on very good terms.

Mr. Bancel is CEO and holds 9% shares of Moderna. From wikipedia:
In April 2020, with the Moderna share price rising on news of imminent phase 2 human trials for its potential COVID-19 vaccine, Bancel's stake of about 9% means his net worth is now over $1 billion.
    Also from Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moderna

"Moderna, Inc. is an American biotechnology company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts that is focused on drug discovery and drug development based on messenger RNA (mRNA). The company creates synthetic mRNA that can be injected into patients to help them create their own therapies. As of May 2020, none of its products have reached the final phase of a clinical trial, received approval by the FDA, or been sold on the market."

The fact that this info is coming out and the dates, along with the Pacha-taco fiasco in Oct at the Synod is quite interesting.

I have been praying and fasting (I am trying to fast but I am not good at it) because of both these things. Interesting there seems to be a connection.

I am trying to pray a penitential Rosary every day. It is a struggle to get it said--not surprising--but the fasting is very hard. I was never very good at it but I've done it. Usually on Fridays but if hadn't gotten so hard.
