A recent message posted on the Locutions to the World site seems to contradict previous messages about Pope Francis and the consecration of Russia. Is there something I am missing here? To me this is a serious problem. I am surprised that Monsignor Esseff was apparently not concerned about publishing the more recent locution. This first message is from February 15 2013, right before the election of Francis (emphasis added): Mary: "I rejoice. I truly rejoice in all of these events. They are brought about by the Spirit of God and they will be completed as the Spirit continually breathes upon the whole Church. Yes, the whole Church must share deeply in these events because your mother is about to bring forth the pope who will consecrate Russia to my Immaculate Heart. It can no longer be delayed." http://www.locutions.org/2013/02/1-a-long-process/ The second message is from December 17th 2013 and seems to suggest that Mary still has some hidden priest who she will bring forth at some future date to do the consecration. Obviously if the priest is still hidden it can hardly be the reigning pope who has been all over the news since his election! (emphasis added): Mary: "I have spoken of the deep secrets of my heart but there is one secret that lies bidden. My deepest secret concerns my priest son who was chosen from all eternity to place the Fatima light on the lampstand. I have openly promised that someday Russia will be consecrated to my Immaculate Heart and a period of great peace will ensue. Who will be the one who will do that? He is still hidden in my heart, protected by my greatest favors. Only after some darkness has fallen on the earth will I bring him forth. If I brought him forth in the light, he would be rejected. When the darkness begins, the Church will be more ready to receive my light and my choice. Know that I will use the beginning darkness for my purposes. Because of the darkness, the Church will seek the Fatima light in all its fullness. Only when the Church begins to ask, “Who can lead us to Fatima” will I bring my priest son out of the hiding of my heart." http://www.locutions.org/2013/12/10-marys-priest-son/
Good way to put it! The parts fell of the LTTW for me shortly after Pope Francis was elected. The play by play of worldly events that it took on was enough for me. At first they were very interesting to me, then they went to being just entertainment then I said, this is nuts, Mary and Jesus do not speak like this. But that's just me
We have TWO different functions and TWO DIFFERENT people here: The Pope who will CONSECRATE RUSSIA and My priest son chosen to PLACE THE FATIMA LIGHT ON THE LAMPSTAND. The whole point of your thesis, Phillip, -there is a contradiction- is based on your asumption that the that [in the second locution] refers to the consecration, but actually that is not what the text of the locutions necessarily states. It can perfectly be understood as refering to the beginning of the paragraph: "my deepest secret concerns my priest son who was chosen from all eternity to place the Fatima light on the lampstand." He is still hidden -obviously, so he is not the same as the Pope. That this is a little confusing: Yes. But that it is contradictory NO. Unless we want to make it so. Peace!
I wasn't looking for problems in the locutions. I have been a regular reader of them for some time. I was actually disturbed by what I read, so here I am looking for some insight. I don't think your solution works, though. In the second message it says: "I have openly promised that someday Russia will be consecrated to my Immaculate Heart and a period of great peace will ensue. Who will be the one who will do that? He is still hidden in my heart, protected by my greatest favors." This, to me at least, clearly states that the person who will consecrate Russia is still hidden. Only the Pope can do the consecration (with the bishops).
Philip I agree with you. I too am troubled by this contradiction and I have read most of the locutions as well. There were several messages before Francis referring to the next pope being the one our lady had been grooming for a long long time. Now it sounds like there is another so why the change? When I have more time I will try to find these messages to show. I may be mistaken because I read a lot and it all gets jumbled some times but I think it was lttw that kept speaking of this next pope, Francis, being the one Mary kept talking about as being hers and the one that will do what is necessary.
The apparent lack of concern by LTTW of those who call her mother in the middle east compared with her almost obsession with the citizens(in many cases the persecutors of Christians) in Israel has always bothered me. Plus, it is Israel and the US who are supporting al queda/muslim brotherhood in this region who are committing these same crimes against her "real children."Not to mention all the instability that LTTW warns about in the region caused ny support from Israel/US/West. And that "bad man" Putin, who is standing in their way. For me, it's thumbs down on LTTW.
Philip, I noticed the same thing. I think she is talking about two different people. First, Pope Francis and the Bishops are the only ones who can do the consecration. She has repeatedly called for Pope Francis to do the consecration, but he has his own free will... Second, I think there is a hidden priest who will push for the consecration to happen and influence Pope Francis. She mentions that this will not happen until things become very bad. In the meantime, we can help by offering up our prayers. If you read the locution below, it says that the Holy Father (Pope Francis) is not hearing the strong voice that says the world needs Fatima. The hidden priest will be this strong voice in my opinion. "As I look at the world, what do I see? The final living witness, Lucy, has come to heaven. Her voice no longer lifts up the Fatima gift. Others strive to be heard but their voices are too weak to capture the heart of the Holy Father. Many other concerns flood in upon him and no strong voice says, 'The world needs Fatima'." Also, there is a locution July 8th, 2013, where Mary explicitly asks for the laity to encourage Pope Francis to perform the consecration: http://www.mariantimeline.com/eventsRO/52e2c522124480020000001c Full disclosure - the link above is to a website I have been working on which aims to build a database of locutions, apparitions, world events and other happenings.
