Particularly in learning about our Mother and the places she appears and the messages she sends us. I find the Catholics here committed to loving Our Lord and Lady, I learn from them to be more committed to my faith. I particularly love Potato Sack's threads on consecration, and Glenn's thread on Garabandal, there are many others equally helpful. I realize that soon, too soon, we shall not have this communion with other Catholics, as the world gets darker. I will remember you and our time together when that time comes. The forum seems so different and changed, a lot quieter. But a rest is not a bad idea. Resting but praying. Thank you for your prayers, they seem to be working I have not had such a deep sleep in years this last week or so. I woke up last night to feel the presense of the devil in my bedroom, I even got a glimpost of a face, of that of a man gaunt. I tried to make the sign of the Cross but my arm froze and I could not do it. But whent he devil is unhappy God is happy.
Padraig, just go around your house with holy water and blessed salt. Or, invite a priest in to do it. I do my house from time to time.
Good suggestion Bella. I sprinkle salt blessed under the old rite on all my food and lightly spray myself with holy water and bless myself with blessed oil (Padre Pio, St Andre of Montreal and St Peregrine oil) most nights. It keeps the demons at bay.
So scary Padraig! I think the devil has been extra busy lately. I know for the past two years my family has been constantly under attack, specifically my husband. It's like realizing you're in the Matrix movie when you realize the reality of the spiritual realm
I saw a notice in a church not far from me about a special Mass where salt will be blessed. I had never heard about blessed salt before joining this forum. I'm thinking of getting some salt blessed. Should I buy some kind of special salt or just bring a pack of table salt?
Dolours, I buy different kinds of salt for blessings: the cheapest kind, which I have in my handbag for public use (ex. sprinkling on roads, sidewalks, buildings...). I also use the cheap kind to put in my blessed water (just a few grains) and I also bring sea salt to be blessed, since I use that in my cooking. In short, I have it all blessed! I was amazed at the sign I got when I first used it on my property years ago: I went around in prayer, asking for the Lord's blessing and Holy Mary's protection and threw a couple of grains on the bushes or fence bordering my property and everywhere I threw the grains, a wind suddenly came up and it was an otherwise perfectly calm evening!

We have become , if not good friends at least nieghbours. This has been going on about 30 years. Though sometimes like last night he is especially persistent. I wish everyone believed in the devil. I mean really , really believe in his. He deos exist. If they did beleive in the devil and in hell they might see things a lot different. I have only rarely see him materialsie and take a form; he did last night.
I would check to see if you could get water blessed too. The rite of exorcism is part of the blessing of the salt and then the priest uses some of the salt in the blessing of the water. I like to think that the evil ones sizzle when I sprinkle that around.
Padraig, for what it is worth, I have heard the devil only openly attacks when he has failed to tempt you in other ways. So it is a sign you have beaten him. Now he has to come out in the open to try and scare you. he is such a bad loser. Hmmm I wonder if he is a democrat. God help and protect you while He permits the devil to play his little games with you. God knows He has given you the grace to fight back, with prayer. Go, Padraig, go you can only win with God on your side.
Satan doesn't bother with people who are lukewarm or who cause him no bother. Some years ago when my eldest daughter was in London studying, she felt an evil presence; the curtain billowed in her room as if something had entered. She texted a friend in the same corridor to sit with her. He arrived and as it was late she promptly fell asleep. He also nodded off, and then awoke and noticed a dark shape silhouetted against a light. It turned to him and he saw the most hideous face. Then it vanished. Until that point the young man had thought she was being fanciful. I have a very good friend who is constantly being attacked by satan. Her sister, who is a doctor, found out about all this and put her on anti-psychotic drugs because she thought she was delusional. Of course they haven't helped at all. My friend is a wonderful, holy person and I think that is why she is being singled out. She thinks she is a terrible sinner, but then many holy people are acutely aware of their own sinfulness. I think God must allow this particular torment because despite prayer over her and for her, it hasn't gone away. Demons seem to be particularly active at present. I read somewhere (Charlie J's site?) that a priest in the US who can discern evil spirits says that he's never come across so many as in the past year. Looking at events in the US this would seem very likely.
Oh Clare. I read Charlie j. I don't remember reading that he knows a Priest who sees things like that. I know Charlie saw an amazing number of demons loosed from hell before Christmas last year or the year before. I thought they must have all gone to Syria, where they would find terrorist souls who would welcome them. Who knows some of them might have been hiding among the refugees when they fled. I did read once that every time an abortion is done, another demon is loosed from hell. So we could have quite a few millions of them in the West too. Could that be what is motivating the Liberal Progressives. Something surely is driving them and it aint from God.
Julia it may have been Mark Mallet - I really don't recall. It might even have been in the comments. It struck me at the time. We've had a very 'interesting' year, haven't we? I was just now looking for something on this forum and Google sent me to an old thread 'Padraig and the Hidden Hand'. I had forgotten all this. Back in April there were tremors but quite mild, people on MOG were talking about earthquakes about to happen but not able to make much of it. Then Padraig's hint that something big was going to happen in the Church. I quote: Wait, pray. Something quite remarkable in the history of the Church is just about to occur. Begin to read the messages from Our Lady from the authentic sites from now on in, wait and pray, God is about to have His say on things.. Be at peace; God knows, pray , hope and don't worry, God is just about to intervene quite directly and let His voice be heard in quite an unmistakable manner. Something is about to happen that will change everything , God is about to play the Joker. Eerily, some people suggested that Donald Trump might be the joker. But it wasn't considered very likely at the time... Utterly fascinating how times have changed! I wonder what the Joker was? It wasn't Amoris Laetitia as it had just come out and we were taking time out before commenting. So in a way the situation was a bit similar, a pause in discussion on some subjects.
Padraig, My question to you is can you do both: manage the Forum and withdraw for solitude? Be sure to look after your own needs. Since MS7 has exited, I'm not sure if any other administrators remain who might be willing to carry the load. Be sure to ask Our Lady what she desires! Personally, I would be willing to forfeit a month of visits to MOG for your sake. Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!
Sorry to ask this here, but how do you say your name Padraig? I'd assumed it was like Patrick but with an Irish accent, then I looked online and have seen conflicting things, but most people are saying its POHR-ehg.
