Yes brilliant idea about about a special section for Church matters. I will set it up now. If I remember how.:)

I voted to close until Easter as I find the sometimes angry exchanges that develop upsetting. I find confrontation unsettling. Nevertheless I am thankful for all the information on what's happening as this is not available on any Catholic publications that I have access to so yes I have revised my opinion after reading through the thread.

I vote NO, of course, no time to be warm anymore as I said to many of my friends in private, we already lost a lot of souls during this Pontificate, we have the duty to resist as to inform our Catholic Brothers around the World, in any case I will continue this battle via my Blog and alone if necessary, to abandon today will be a Victory of the current evils forces at the Top of the Church, they won't be able to crucify our Lord a second time, please be sure of that, thank you.

I voted to close down the discussions of this pontificate during Lent, not the forum, just the discussion. I take on board the urgency of the current situation and the need to be on guard but....

The power of prayer and penance is the only power that will destroy those powers who seek to undermine the Church and its teachings. Nothing else will. How many souls have been saved by our 'fallen Vatican' posts? How many will be saved? how many people even take any notice of what goes on on this forum? Do you think the St Gallen mafia give two hoots about us? We have no influence on the powerful, all we can do is warn and provide mutual support. But the latter we can do anyway without the debates. With the threats of people being censored and banned I think the time has come to step back and reflect.

We've been assailed by bad news lately, no question, and there will doubtless be a lot more. But Lent is about penance. Come Easter of course things would revert to normal, but a period of reflection might be healthy for us all.

I voted no but at the same time we should discuss the issues in a civil manner---giving facts and commenting on them not insulting anyone not only during Easter but always. We Catholics need to unite and pray if we want to win the battle against Satan. Listen to our Lady' messages at Fatima, Garabandal and Akita. God bless all of us.

I have spent today at home in bed laid low with flu. I have been rereading biography of Anna Catherine Emmerich. She lived in very evil times. She constantly suffered and prayed for the salvation of souls. She spoke the truth when called to so. We must be careful that Our words and actions are inspired by a spirit of love, humility, and a true desire to help souls who are taking the wide road to perdition. We must take care that Our intentions are pure devoid of ego. It is better to pray and consider everything carefully before opening our mouths or responding to provocations .

A wise but difficult choice to make, maryrose. Our humble Mother will assist us. I pray you feel better!

I voted yes close the thread.... I once heard our continued fascination with such dark and insidious issues only gives it more power. The sides have been drawn- limit the discussion and focus on what Mary is asking of us!

We had a similar pause from the topic during Advent. Lent is even more a time of penance and reflection. It might take out some of the heat generated here as well. And we can resume again at Easter.

I agree, I as well do not have others to talk to in regards to this rapidly moving storm. It is important that we continue this forum of faithful.

Me too. Out here alone in a very secular environment. Would hate to lose this fellowship. However I share others unease with the edge of vitriol. If we sincerely pray for each other that might dissipate. Hard to stay angry with someone you are praying for:cool:
