Russia just voted unanimously to approve Putin's request to send troops to the Ukraine in the interests of 'socio-political normalization in the country'. Lord have mercy.
I see the Russian parliament has approved use of Russian troops in the Ukraine (not just Crimea where they are presently). I think we have could be moving towards region conflict. There was just no way Russia was going to allow European interference in its sphere of influence.

Of course he wasn't going to back down over this, why should he. We didn't back down in Cuba, Korea,Vietnam, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, and of course Syria.

I worry Obama and Kerry might not be opposed to havoc and chaos in Europe, as far as I can see anything but peace is that these guys are after. Even though the middle east is their usual stomping ground. Much prayer is needed.
I invite everyone here to start as soon as possible a Rosary prayer group in your local parish, if not already done. Anyone who has been made aware of Catholic prophecy concerning Russia and its annihilation of countries, especially throughout Europe, should not be surprised at what is transpiring in the Ukraine. This is where it all begins, by Satan's design. And yes, America and other countries will be involved in some degree. This invasion will be spread rapidly throughout. It has been Satan's plan all along and he has enough puppets now in place to start pulling their strings. There is nothing to stop it now, but prayer will assist certain people and this along with penance is all we can do to help. I think some of the confusion with regard to Catholic Prophecies of fire may be that there are two kinds of fire being mentioned. For instance at Akita the fire from heaven being talked about is a fire directly from God which will destroy all the wicked people leaving only the Holy Church , pure and one, adorned in holiness for the coming of Christ . As scripture indicates. This occuring during the Tribulation period. Similiarly there is some confusion between actual Northern Lights, the Aurora Borealis. The signs seen from as far south as New York in 1939 were not the Northern Lights, scientists have never explained those lights. If an actual all out nuclear war occurred all life on Earth would off course be extinguished. thus the Triumph could not take place. So what n my opinion Catholic prophecy indicates is a limited use of nuclear weapons. Still of course horrific but not leading to the extinction of life on Earth
I would say if this escalates which looks very likely watch the Church numbers grow and watch how many will start paying more heed to those who have been predicting these events. The harvest is plentiful.....
I don't think that obama/kerry are not opposed to havoc and chaos in europe. But, I do believe obama would dither and analyze on what action to take, and then it would be too late. He's not good at quick decisions. But I do believe obama would also be analyzing how to use the crisis to his advantage in the US...like calling off elections or something like that. I used to think Russia would be free to invade europe because the US would be in civil war (per Padraig's icons), but I'm not sure when that will happen.
I found it quite interesting today that at church they gave out daily prayer books for lent. The first part of the book before the daily prayers started it was all about The Ukraine and the plight of the Catholcs there. There are no coincidences.
