Whoever thought of the above absurd statement obviously didn't realise the beauty of Gods work in children.. Yesterday was a usual hectic day rush rush rush,,cleaning cooking homeworks etc etc,my third youngest 7 year old daughter Rebekah was doing her homework and as usual the other three children were shouting for my attention,Daddy can I have this,Daddy can I have that all of this combined with a 2 year old potty training and trying to get the dinner cooked was a little bit stressful Rebekah's homework was a composition based on argument and agreement she had to write a paragraph on why she agreed or disagreed with the story, that was easy enough for her and with a little help from me she completed the questions, the next part was for her to tell a short story on something she liked doing and to explain why she liked doing it, she also had to have three good reasons to convince the other children in the class that her activity was good, enjoyable , healthy and that everyone in the class should do it or at least try, well lol my answer was write about going to the beach or park as I was busy I wasn't really thinking...well I was knocked of my feet with her reply, she walked away from me looking at the ground she shyly looked at me and said quietly could I not write about going to mass ?? well wham bam what a slap in the head from the Holy Spirit, here is a child who seized the opportunity to evangelize to 30 other children in her class,,How I would love to be a fly on the wall in her classroom today to see her proclaim the importance and enjoyment of mass I bet the teacher will be amazed... lol let the children scream and be heard
As the father of 4, I know where you are coming from and you are clearly doing your own very effective catechism in your home! Would love to hear the reaction of her teacher and classmates. What a sweet story.
