Padraig, I think that Charlie recently (I think within what was linked to by Spirit Daily) wrote that there may be a time that he would have to leave the scene.....for a time! Would that perhaps be a length of time that would allow an excuse that he did admit a mistake, but would then return to continue to lead on his dedicated following, to their delight, with generally more writings that include his personal outlooks on the political scene for which has been his forte within his personal history? I don't envision him ever leaving the scene completely....just by "personality need" reading.

I've maintained neutrality and agnosticism regarding CJ all along. I have to admit though that I do expect something to happen politically. Even if it does, though, it neither affirms nor refutes these prophecies. Many atheists are calling for or predicting that Trump will not be inaugurated. That doesn't make of them "prophets" if he's not, just astute political observers or effective agit props.
Let me first say in all honesty, I hope Charlie is wrong about Donald Trump not being inaugurated as president. However, from what he has written, it appears if Mr Trump is not inaugurated, Charlie will start a walk to Washington; because it would seem a lot of Americans will be ready to raise chaos over disruption to the normal political process. In this scenario, it would appear Charlie will continue to post articles. On the other hand if Donald Trump is inaugurated without disruption. Charlie will just write one last article apologising for misleading everyone. However, if it happens that the chaos starts in the first few weeks of the new presidential term, Charlie will resurface; because as he sees it, God will have humbled Charlie through the delay in fulfilling what Charlie genuinely believes is about to happen. We just have to watch and pray for a peaceful transition.
I just don't believe that God in His Mercy in replying to the still many faithful in this country, giving us all this astounding and really unexpected second chance.....like rather than pulling the plug, allowing us to have life support and rising from that if we continue to fight and to try....that He will pull the rug out from under those of good will in some way to suddenly stop this action of His. I think we should be praying for this continuance of good will by the people; the ongoing sacrifice by good people willing to give up much to serve this country; and hopefully not wish to have some "Charlie proving" mishaps to occur just to place some generalized prediction that so far has had to be reconstructed, re-discerned, re-worded, over and above what God HAS shown us and what God HAS done recently to show us His continued Mercy for us, as undeserved as we have been. IOW, Hope! Pray for the continued "Trump effect" and for the safety of his family and chosen servants. To heck with the usual "political" world analyses that have only inspired more negativity in the world from which comes more anti-God thoughts and behaviors.
Padraig, here is at least one of Charlie's convoluted reasonings of support for himself to continue (note to his reference to those "not big on mystics"....when Charlie himself has often referred to even approved mystics of the Church as "just not getting it right"....that they misinterpret what God intends since He never does anything big time, only in small ways....ummm, Fatima, Charlie? Also not to expect anything as big as the described visions of Garabandal or even St. Faustina for what to look for in the occurrences surrounding the coming Illumination of Conscience....and, btw, to Charlie, that is already occurring and has occurred and will continue to occur in individual experiences....no worldwide major correction to be expected): A few weeks ago, a few fellows who are not big on mystics asked me to lunch. To my surprise, their initial concern was whether my departure would be irrevocable if the inauguration came off. I laughed and said that, of course if there was a normal inauguration and a coup a few weeks later, I would be right back to work. They were both relieved, one noting that I am the only one who has gotten the unbelievable trajectory of these times right – and with real hope…and that I was already right even if I am wrong on a particular – and my voice would be needed before this is all finished. And again....who are such "fellows" who just happen to give Charlie the opportunity to justify his not exactly leaving the scene as seemingly promised??
I think what separates Charlie from astute political observers is that he made his predictions about the 2016 election long before we knew who the candidates would be. That said, I am not invested in whether or not Charlie is correct. I would like a cultural reset but fear what that might look like. So many of my Facebook friends are planning to attend the nauseating women's marches against Trump following the inaugural. The anger is so palpable that I don't see it abating any time soon.
Charlie has already been deceived or is deceiving through his already failed prophecies. This isn't a judgement on him but simply proven by his own words. LTTW was more accurate than Charlie has been. The seer label is no longer hinging on any future predictions for me. He is no seer. Read his last blog post, Entering The Danger Zone, and you can see how Charlie works to manipulate and subty influence people to believe he is still right and "true". If he is right about his political predictions which he clearly has some in depth knowledge on he can leave the reader with the impression he must be generally right in prophetic things. Even if it means stating how right he was after the fact which he has done in other writings. This is a manipulation tactic whether accidental or intentional. He tempers his wrong predictions with the caveat that God works things in ways we don't expect implying he is still right for the most part. His third paragraph, although admittedly tempered with not being prophetic, goes on to prove after the fact in a private conversation how right he was about Trump and the election, supposedly before hand. Then puts out the obvious prediction the transition still may be stolen in the coming days. This give him potential ammunition to draw on if correct to imply to the reader he knew ahead of time. Charlie also states in the previous one how he must be held accountable for the specific pronouncements he makes but has never come out admitting how wrong the last normal Christmas prediction or summer of discontent was. The same will be for his Obama error and the rescue in Oct. of this year which is clearly premature since he has the timing of the storm wrong. This storm has been predicted by thousands if not millions using common sense alone. These following words show me just how vital Charlie thinks he is to his followers. This is a more a sign of a cult leader than seer.....subtly implying to the reader to stay with him as their voice from heaven whether right or wrong. If I am right and there is no transfer of power on January 20th, the tumult and convulsions in this year of fulfillment will still lead you to constantly doubt there will be a Rescue. If I am wrong on this particular and convulsions continue to mount, your celebration will be short-lived. You will come to fear more than ever that I have gotten the trajectory completely right – but will not believe in a Rescue. If I am wrong on this particular and everything smoothes out, but we do not become a Godly people, persisting in our rebellious insistence that we are the titans, you will spend the year nervously waiting for the other shoe to drop. If I am wrong on this particular and everything smoothes out AND we do re-embrace our Godly heritage, I will give thanks for the bullet I dodged and enjoy my family – but will remain on full alert until my time of service is up. Charlie isn't going anywhere. It's easy to avoid his ramblings though which is a good thing.
Multiple people in the 1980's, 1990's and 2000's predicted a Trump presidency based on his incredible levels of ambition and self confidence (narcissism ? - which is unfortunately a primary characteristic of successful presidential candidates in modern America.) If you have any doubt still, watch this video! The Simpsons clearly "predicted" a Trump presidency 16 years ago, beating CJ by years. Does this "prove" the prophetic role of the Simpsons? No, it just proves that multiple politically astute individuals could foresee Trump's future trajectory based purely on human intelligence. Nothing supernatural about it.
Charlie already has at least one failed prediction from September 2015 when he claimed that Pope Francis would make a big blunder during his U.S. visit. It seems that many of his followers base their belief in him on his likeability far more than prophetic accuracy.
Interesting that as the clock ticks away toward the Inauguration 8+ days from now, Charlie has spent the morning reading political blogs and posts his own take on the "Fake News" controversy over allegations of Trump's being compromised by Russia. Charlie includes a "humble brag" (lovely phrase) about how his own journalistic standards back in the day were so much higher than those of the national news media now. ETA: Pope Francis (back before he seemingly went off the rails), warned about visionaries whose messages were too topical.
I do not neccessarily agree with your assessment. I believe he did "go off the rails" by jumping on the "left's" bandwagon before he came to the US. This is his "big mistake" by throwing in with the elites for whatever reason.
just a note here, if for some reason Trump steps down, the constitution spells out what is to happen. The VP takes the presidency. This would not be a "coup" and it would not be "outside the normal political process". In my opinion the entire world would be better off if that happens. Mike Pence is a good Christian man and is essentially the de facto head of the Trump administration anyway. More of what came out today and he may have to step down. Don't listen to anyone who says that is not the normal process, it is spelled out in the Constitution that the VP takes over, so it is absolutely the normal political process.
I don't like to kick a man when he's down. I wonder what he is thinking at the moment. I like Charlie. I hope he gets his feet up and retires. At the time like this if it were me I would not be thinking so much about God and me, I would be thinking about me and others. What way my words had affected them and if I had maybe done folks harm. Thoughts along that line. A humble, humble apology and then vanishing. I hope he does this. I am not trying to kick him or anything, I will be praying for him. I wish him well.
